  1. Lol fair point but I'm not budging!! People complain about the ticket tax happily enough so this is my grip and I'm sticking with it.
  2. Lol again!! Anyway, could do with a ******* goal! Don't fancy another game getting stonewalled and undone at the end. COYS!
  3. I live in Torquay and when saints were providing a radio service I was happy to pay. Now they want us to pay for a service they are robbing off the BBC that I already pay for. So out of principle I choose not to pay but find it quite funny that others are willing to pay twice for something. Add to that it is usually clearer listening to the opo's tatters than our own makes me stay even clearer.
  4. Pay for a BBC service??? What's the point in the TV licence huh?
  5. It would have been so much different if what shouldn't be spoken about wasn't spoken about though.
  6. Dont like to say I told you so but the comments in the OP that didnt need to be there were bound to turn this thread the way its gone. Now we have people talking about getting someone banned. Rightly or wrongly there was no need for what should have been a good thread to go this way.
  7. I know naff all to be fair, its nice to hear about the charity event and nice to know some info on that (still there is not much on that subject) but to turn up to a public event and get told info over the mic in a very public way only to be told to keep it to your selves seems weird to me and when announced in the way it has will only make people want to know more. Anyway, what else happened at the event that can be talked about?
  8. My next door neighbours are a female gay couple. The kids are completly screwed up and one is now in foster care. Some would blame that on the gay relationship above them but people who are close can see that its there past with a peodo dad and peodo aunty's that disagreed with gay relationships. Add there mum passing away from Lukemea when the eldest was 10 and years in counceling shows that the gay relationship above them was probably the most stable relationship thay have ever been aware of. Bad people can be anyone. Singling out Priest's, Gay's and nutters doesnt get anyone closer to the truth. FWIW. The Pope can do one. Pay for himself or get the UK churches to pay for his visit. We will be laying on an all expences visit for Osama Bin laden next.
  9. There are very few that have asked what was said. The point is, if your asked not to say anything then why go and tell everyone that something was said?
  10. Ah right, I sponsored one of there pies once....... never again
  11. Thanks for the offer but the players here are not that out of reach. lol. I have a few people that know or are involved with the club and its fairly easy to get some contact with them. Think the place I work for have some kind of affiliation with them and strangly also with Exeter. Think work batting on both sides of the fence. lol
  12. I agree that some will respond just because it was FF but anyone that comes on with nudge nudge wink wink type stuff usually ends up with a bit of a bashing because most dont like it. I just dont see the need or the point of it.
  13. I went a couple of times as a kid but never really got into it. The whole running thing with feet like mine always made me want to be involved in anything other than footy. Got hooked once I moved away as a kid and it was the only thing back home I could associate my self with. Its my home town team and its part of my family as much as I hope I am part of its. Hate seeing kids here in Torquay walking round with Man U shirts on when they are born and bred in Torquay. Home town team is where it should always should be. My kids are Torquay fans IMO before being Saints fans cause thats who I support.
  14. But his post said more about what he couldnt talk about than what he could have talked about. Its not suprising it gets peoples backs up is it? He could have said he was at a charity event for Kevin Moore and it was a great night. Matt spoke about his times with the club and told this story where ....blah blah blah. L Mac also still loves the club and was telling of great memorys. Kevin Moore's family was there and so were x y and z. He could have told us the kind of things that were auctioned and how much they went for. In fact there was probably allot more he could have talked about but chose to tell us he knows something that we dont and he wont say any more. I like FF and dont usually rise to this type of thing but this does look like bait to get certain people to respond. It will end in someone going to far and getting a ban for gobbing off to much when the OP is supposed to be about a charity event. Not really going to pan out too well is it.
  15. Which is why how its delivered that will make the difference. The way it has been done has got peoples backs up and it seems like its an extra cost. But as you have just explained, the club would have got more by keeping things as they were. Im sure they could have delivered this tax better and made it easier to accept but its a bit late now. I wonder if the £2m cost would have been to impliment it this season. I dont understand how it should cost that much if rolled out correctly but if it was a rush job then the club would have no doubt had to pay over the odds to get it in. To get it done next season with proper planning and negotiations should get the cost down much below that £2m IMO
  16. This needs a "Like" button. lol
  17. Bet he had to think long and hard about that one.
  18. I think its about how the information is delivered to the customer. If you go to buy something for £20 to only find out there is an additional £3 booking fee you feel like your being stiched up. If you go to buy something for £23 and get told that costs includes a £3 booking fee there are no suprises and you dont feel robbed. Telling you there is a booking fee is all about transparency. I dont understand why they need to be transparent about the £3 booking fee but dont tell you how the rest of the money is divided up around the club. If they want transparency then why not go the whole hog?
  19. I dont usually get hacked off with the look at me threads but im ill today and got an arse on. FF your post doesnt actually say anything other than I know something you dont know. Surly 90% of that could have been left out if you are not going to talk about it. I dont care if I never find out (dont actually want to) what was said. Especially if it was said in confidence of those 4 walls. (something tells me that there will be others there that will ba happy to blab all the same) But to come here and teeze is only going to get peoples backs up and start more saints v saints agressive debates that will end in people getting banned for taking it too far. Rant over!
  20. TBF that comment was made by the guy who went and not by NC himself. It sounds like he is saying that we have actually got something good here and to drive him out would be a mistake as we could end up with allot worse. It doesnt actually say NC is ready to pack his bags if the abuse carrys on. I think NC's biggest mistakes so far have all been about comunication. No doubt that there will be some and sometimes many that disagee with some decissions but leaving the comunication to a minimum or letting those with there noses out of joint break the news only snowballs against him. Re the ticket plan, he could have made a statement saying the old system costs as 30% dont bother to pay and they are trying to bring in the swipte card system to stop that happening. They have failed to get that installed in time so for 1 year will have to go without the payment plan. They could have then installed a quarterly season ticket for this year where people can buy a block of tickets to make it a little easier. Letting the press run riot with whats going on and letting us lot make our own minds up blew it all out of proportion. Maybe he has learnt his lesson on that but time will tell.
  21. Do we have a whoosh moment?
  22. To be honest its hard to see how some of it has gone on without some proper dodgy stuff going on but I cant see it actually being the case. Plenty of clubs and players will be happy to take tax free payments if they can get away with it but I cant see the league doing the same. I would have thought the League have tried to look at the black and white on each case so that they are not the ones to toast pompy. It seems a club can slightly break the rules and get punnished for it. But when they break enough rules which would warrent a public pants down thrashing, no-one wants to show themselves as the hangman. I guess that you will end up with some kind of penalty if Manderich or Storrie get done but it will be minor compared to what possibly should have happened. It just leaves the door open for someone elses to take things to this extreme.
  23. AA wont battle and bend every rule to make sure Pompy get away without points penaltys, to later investigate the business finding financial irregularities resulting in points penaltys for pompy. I just dont get how the company reponsible for trying to rescue a business can be the same company that should be looking for someone to blame later. Its like going to uni for a degree and being aloud to mark your own paper to give yourself a pass.
  24. Yes but just imagine the possibilities had he widened both eyes!!
  25. To be fair, the sources stating NC was meeting with those at The Sun seem pretty credible. I would be surprised if it was BS. Someone said south today are reporting the ban is over too. Funny that the press are reporting things before the club now.
