  1. You would assume that many of them would of taken the £5 off the Leeds game so wouldn't get another discount for the next match. Figures still don't add up to anything that's going to save them but still
  2. 3K of those are for Leeds I think? unless they sell the rest these sceme could actualy lose them more money I think?
  3. So they are allowed 4 promotions per season? Is this the 1st? I thought there have been other schemes? Or was the free tickets to kids and so on no more than a rumour much like our supposed give aways?
  4. yeah exactly. No need for a nastly letter to be sent to anyone. and especialy to single out one of us for such a letter. Would be different if they were all above board and were financialy sound. lol
  5. Well why the bloody hell are you so special? Its not like your the only one saying all that. lol
  6. which comments?
  7. blimey it takes a while for messages to get through dont it? Only just got one of mine in!
  8. haha I thought that was you and was going to congratulate you on a blinder!
  9. haha i didnt even bother following him. didnt want to infect my phone TBH. lol
  10. Who's that?
  11. But the point is, depending on if the offer is legit of course, £20 million has been offered for the site which puts the value at or around the same. It would take a massive and complex chain of events for a supermarket to be able to build on that site for sure and that's what makes that idea highly Un-likely but on paper it's their so there is room for the argument. What you said in your other post makes sence though. £17 may well be owed but there could well be a case to argue how much is secured and how much isn't. What will chainrai do next? Challenge anything TB says? Look to cut losses and walk away? Or pile in and buy the club back thinking he can get his money back later on?
  12. You mean this one? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2613018,00.html If only we owned the whole thing.......
  13. When is someone in the FL going to tell them to use the youth? I'm getting pretty fed up of the BS we only have so many players malarky. They have a youth team that beat our youth team not so long back and we have already given a few of them a chance in our 1st team squad. I'm sure they have a few that would be happy to make up the numbers.
  14. Whos to say we dont have some more good news lined up for tomorrow?
  15. I asked that Neil Alen chap a few days ago if there is a possability of more than 10 for 2nd admin n all. His reply was basically that a quick call to the FL in the morning would clear that up. As he has not mentioned the result of that call maybe he meant for me to call them???
  16. I would of been happy had they been punished last time and learnt their lessons. Play a side that their actual budget allows and if that takes them down a league then so be it. A few seasons in League 1 and a bit of luck would of got them back to the championship. Then on the back of how they were once in the prem they might of attracted someone that could take them back to being a fair and competitve rival for us. Had that been played out and they had earnt some respect by denouncing some of their past so they can earn their right in the future I would of been pleased to have them back as proper rivals. As it happened they continued to screw up and continued to cheat where ever possible. What they have done may not have actually broken any rules but it still amounts to cheating. As has been pointed out more frequently latley by various people. So while I hope that this is the end for the sorry club that is Pompey I would be happy for an AFC Pompey to start somewhere in the leagues and maybe one day do what AFC Wimbledon have done and climb back through the leagues. Maybe one day they can represent themselves as our rivals again. It would be nice as I just dont think some of the other clubs around us quite fit the bill.
  17. Didnt we also have Jason Euell that season that wasnt getting paid or something? Seem to remember several of our senior players being absent week in week out while the youth were 1st team pics. Was a crap season but I am glad we actually tried to do what was best considiring the situation. What was best financially unfortunatley wasnt the best on the pitch.
  18. I agree with that, The current rule is there sue to another rule that says if you dont pay footballing debts up in full then you will be kicked out of the league. If they get rid of the creditors rule all they have to do is change the other rule to suit. like changing it to, if you cant pay footballing debts in full you will recieve a league demotion and a massive points penalty for the following season. An adminitstration would automatically trigger that rule of course. Clubs would have to be a bit more thoughtful on how they do their business but it wouldnt stop them trading. Prices may become a little more realistic in some cases and the financial fair play rules would be allot easier to live by as clubs lower down the league would be much more inclined to live within their means anyway. The FL/FA or who ever it is are a bit daft to think that their current rule is the only or best way forward IMO. EDIT: To add to that I would also put in a release/recall clause into any players contract with the selling club is still owed money. That way the selling club could bring their partly purchaced player back and be allowed to re-sell him for the remaining debt. Other clubs would get the chance of buying a player at a cut down value boosting their chances and the selling club would not be out of pocket and therefor facing an admin of their own. The owness would always be on the buying club to live within their means or face potentially puttin them selves out of business with any miss-management.
  19. Yeah exactly, Last time they got given the benifit of doubt, went into admin, agreed to pay the first chunk of the CVA via moneis gained in player sales. Sold no-one for any cash, brought more players in on wages the club couldnt sustain on its own and now funding has disapeared face another admin. How can any court believe they are going to do the right thing this time? And just being out of the transfer window any assets they have worth any money wont be sold just yet anyway. I can understand why they got the benifit of doubt last time but I cant see the courts being bluffed for a second time. But then this is Pompey, they seem to have more lives that Tom the cat!
  20. I suppose thats why they tend to seem to get away with it when it gets to court. The argument is that while they are still in business their "Assets" (ie players) are at least worth a value when in the transfer window. Shut up shop and those "Assets" become free agents and not worth anything to the insolvency. Judge rules to keep them alive believing that the club will sell what ever "Assets" it needs to pay off debts and so on. The last Adminitstration may screw them up here as part of that was X amount in player sales that was not even attempted. Why give them another chance to not bother selling anything? Money man willing to spunk some cash seems like the only option to keep the club running?
  21. We owe HMRC? I guess that WUP is in the post then eh?
  22. Initially I was hacked off that they got found not guilty, but that @pearcesport chap posted his opinion after and said as the case went on it always looked like it was a waste of time. I still don't get home there is evidence that money was paid, time fitted in with possible bonus and so on, yet the defence was based around being a bit dense and some investment that was never actually talked about. I mean if the money was there for some investment then what investment? Surely there would be a paper trail that showed some investing and so on? But that wasn't talked about it seems. So while confused at the verdict I accept it. Onto the England job though... It seems to be a poisoned challace that has the FA pulling the strings and a team that chokes with everyone blaming the manager. I can't think of anyone who I would rather get the job to be honest? He won't be able to wheel and deal to bring in quirky players to provide the spark and the players he has to choose from are all pre-madona's who can't play together when it counts. It could be the end for Harry.
  23. The quality over quantity argument falls down when the quality costs more than a club pompey's size can viably sustain. On paper we are 4th or 4th richest club in England. Our owners could afford to bring in messi, ronaldo and several other top quality players. Should our owners then go busy or leave or stop finding us we would be around 50k short of paying supporters week in week out and short of the benifit of champions league football by a whole league which is where any club would need to be to be able to keep that quality. Never mind debt that may be loaded onto a club or what you may of won once. Paying the cost of a higher level team at a lower level club is a fast track route to insolvency. If our owners walked away right now the training facility upgrades would be binned and we would sell ricky, lallana, fonte and sharpe pretty quickly I would guess. Replacing them with kids from the academy to bring us back to living within the means a club our size in this league could afford. It's the same thing we did when we were in admin before. Or in fact, it's what we did prior to going into admin as it was financially the correct and only thing to do. What did Pompey do again????
  24. Just caught up and I take back my pwned comment for docker-p. was pretty funny at the time but as has been proved he was correct about the printers. NC is in fact the devil and the skates are saved or something. X
  25. Paid to advertise there maybe? Just because you use a company for printing it doesn't exactly stop you selling advertising to a competitor does it?
