Was wondering the same thing. Those 4 othings the FL wanted sorting out, once sorted do the league need to meet again to discuss? Is that another month down the line? Or are they all set ready to meet up straight away? For all the noise about how the club was about to fold to out of admin within days, its gone mighty quite since. Not even any mention in the papers on anything going on yet?

Are they out of Admin yet?

Always will be a legend for us and could listen to his storys from the past again and again. Not interested in his politics though as they sometimes do him no favours. Politics took the club down as much as the posh tw*t we had. Would be nice to know he is still involved with the club as he could add to match day experiences. In time it may happen but if not I hope to be somewhere that he is a guest speaker someday as it would be great to hear his storys first hand.

Have the FL backed down yet? I know aa claims it will all be ok, possibly before today's game but is this to be believed? Has chainrai really decided to go for it? If he really wants out as quick as possible how much is he willing to pump into them in order to get out quick? If he does give up his secured creditor status where does that leave the CVA? how can they possibly be above the 75% without his vote? Or does that put it the other way and makes it impossible to contest? I doubt this is near the end in either direction as no-one is really prepared to give up just yet.

I can't see that any of his options are that attractive. Stick and the club is spending more on wages alone than is coming in. It's heading for a relegation which will devalue it even further. He will be stuck with the club round his neck for some time to come and very little chance of getting any money back for it. Twist and as others have found out in the past he could be throwing money at it with no guarantee's of a return and could end up losing as much money as he would had he have stuck. Bust and he is in the same boat as the previous 2. He will lose as much because he won't get anywhere near as much money as he has already put in. Were I to be as loaded as he I doubt I would like to be sat there one day debating how I would like to lose £30 million.
-
Yeah I think he has bitten a few times but some of the flack he gets I can't say I blame him. Shows it's possible to have more friendly rivalry.
-
I think it's fair to take both statements from aa with. Pinch of salt. On the face of it, Chainrai would be mad to spunk more money at a club he has just lost £20 mil or so worth of security but on the other hand he prob can't afford to throw the same amount of money away by walking and letting it get liquidated. Didn't the FL ask for stuff to be done last time and AA's quotes of it being done in days actually take more like a month?

If this really is the beginning of the end for your club I honestly hope someone down your way puts together a fresh new AFC Pompey and I wish you all the best in following a club thats intentions are a shed load more honourable than the previous lot you have had to put up with. I also look forward to the new club climbing the leagues as quickly as possible in order for somedecent derby's to re-occur. Bournmouth will never be a derby so good luck to the new Pompey and I hope it's something worth the real fans support.

Ignoring the fact that they could be out of business by next week, Didnt they have to get special dispensation to sign so many players from one club? Taking another from Stoke just takes that dispensation a step further and if the FL have said do one to the golden share I doubt they will be rushing forward to let Pompey bring in another Stoke player. SC's comments about not realising he would be in a situation where staff might not be paid show how much he was taken in by the Android's BS or show up how stupid he really is. Anyone thinking Pompey wouldnt have money problems for a few years after going into Admin for upto £130 mil of debt would be deranged.
-
Another wait for them to get back to the FL with a new BP that will get rejected again. If that happens soon then next months FL meeting it will be discussed again and if previous meetings are anything to go by it will get thrown out again. I wonder how much longer it will go on before someone pulls the plug?

Do you really think its only Chainrai and AA that are guilty of cheating? IMO they are bending the rules as much as the powers that be will allow. IMO the powers that be are being made to look like mugs from it but they will eventually break and Pompey will come unstuck. But going back a little while to your most recent FA Cup win, the clubs outgoings compared to the incomings were so far apart and were a cause of so much of the debt. Debt that even then was debt that couldnt be re-paid. So who ever was in charge then were also guilty of cheating were they not? Offering over inflated wages to attract players to Pompey which meant other clubs couldnt compete for the same players. There were clubs in relegation battles that could have done with that extra bit of quality but Pompey priced them out of the game when they had no means to pay what they offered. Would these other clubs feels cheated by Pompeys actions? There are many examples of the way Pompey have cheated to either stay in the prem or get further in the cup's or leave more honest clubs with less options. So dont think that lable is only there cause of a poxy administrator and a fat cat asset stripper. Oh and What ever Barnard did was probably stupid and is being dealt with by the powers that be. I have no doubt that if a punishment is due then he will get it and the FL will follow on from that with a further punishment if they can. Your player admitted "doing him with his elbow" in order to gain an advantage. Did you not get a point out of that game? I dont follow your club closely enough to know if that led directly to your lot getting a point or the fact that he was still on the pitch meant that you could still compete but openly admitting an assault that he got away with should normally come with a follow up action by the FL.

You would think a team scoring 7 goals would at least include a hat-trick hero........
-
I dont understand how its billed as the under 21 side but has Wotton in the starting line up! I dont think all the others are 21 or under either? Think as there is no worthwile reserve league available for us to join the Development/Under 21 side will end up playing all sorts of teams. Maybe we are taking a look at 1 or 2 of these Nike boys?

Yeah that goes into the same pot as the Tax evasion cases. Points for this Administration are going to be pretty hard to come by. It has to fail and they have to survive a future liquidation attempt to get more points for any Administration now. - Points for the other cases are possible but all have to be proved 1st. 3 people being charged for the Tax evasion should give the HMRC better odds to make something stick. Proving the unregistered agent IMO might get swept under the carpet by the powers that be as the FA dont seen to have the backbone to let a club fail. It was the FA or Prem I think that persuaded the other Prem clubs to let Pompey get help as the other clubs by then wanted to let them fold back then.

Yeah I thought you had coppied the reply they had sent out months ago to someone elses questions. As soon as I posted my sarky dig at the FL I realised it was the same reply but to your questions!! So while the reply was as crap as I expected my Sarkyness was as usful as a chocolate tea-pot.

OK, I cant remember what month they got the CVA agreed but if that is the date the 9 months starts from and for arguments sake lets say we are now 9 months further on, how can they make a payment when they are not yet out of admin? Does that 1st payment just get rolled back until they actually exit Admin? So if they come out of admin in Dec and that is 3 months after the 1st payment was due, they just pay it then and all is back on track? Or would creditors be able to come back at them as soon as that 9 month deadline is due and they fail to pay?
-
Blimey
-
I was thinking I had read it doesnt start until they actually exit Admin but wasnt sure. So when will the 1st payment be due if they were to come out of admin in this month?
-
I guess their reply was quick and covered all points raised in a fullfilling manner. EDIT: Just realised that was your reply!!!!!

Yeah the CVA was agreed by the mental creditors so I guess in normal situations they would have come out of admin and be on route to re-building the club. The CVA was even ratified in court so the FL delay makes it even more amusing to watch. I think the basics are that as they are still in Admin (CVA or not) the Admin rules apply and they will not be alloud to start next season still in admin. If the FL give them the green light and they come out of Admin then I think the only way the FL will be able to come back and punish them will be for the Tax evasion court cases if they go against the accused or maybe the liquidation process will show something that the FL can come back at them with. I think if they fail to keep to the payments in the CVA then a creditor can issue another Winding up order and they all go back to court. I would have thought that the creditor will be pushing more for liquidation than anything else though. If that happens then the FL wont matter unless a new Pompey is born and the league want to slot them in a few leagues lower than the one they left. IMO the entertaining bit is if the FL give them the green light (so far only Pompey people are suggesting its expected and they have given plenty of dates that they will be out of admin by so far) they will still be relying on Chainrai to throw more money away to just keep them in business. They are already spending more than they earn and sit nicley at the bottom of the Championship. How he thinks there is enough there to turn into a Promotion chasing club is beyond belieff! Even with no debts or possible points deductions they are looking at best to survive a relegation season and stabalise next year. Somewhere along those lines should be spending less than they earn in order to build in the future and hope to get up the table at a later date. There plan so far seems to be one of a mentalist on a mission to bankrupt someone else to gain a bit more work later on!
-
I think it sums up to the same thing. A club is not alloud to start 2 consecutive seasons in Administration. Kind of forces there hand to come out with the CVA agreed or not before the 2nd season starts. With it and the FL happy, they get there golden share. Without it they have to bargain with the FL to get there golden share in exchange for points penalty's or brown envelopes or something.
-
The league said they would give a points deduction "IF" Pompey come out of admin without the CVA. If they come out with the CVA agreed (which they have) they will not get a deduction. If they try to start next season while still in Admin (not looking 100% that they can finish this one just yet) then they will be up for a points deduction. If a bit of luck goes with them they will get there golden shower back and be out of admin with no penalty soonish. If MM, HR or PS's tax evasion cases go against them then the club will incure a points penalty if and when that happens. It does look like the Admin process has been nothing more than a way for Chainrai to try and cream some cash back at the expense of about £100 mil of debt which maybe why the FL are not ratifying the CVA process as easy as Pompey would have liked. If Malwhinny chappy was still about I would have thought he would have changed every rule going to make sure they didnt "get away with it" but it seems the new Boss and the FL is not about changing rules to suit but making sure rules are followed. All except the transfer embargo of course.

Could that mean he is just waiting for the fools to carry on throwing money at the club until it inevitably falls over and then stepping in when he can finally pick it up for peanuts and get rid of all the fools. The club might get booted down a couple of divisions but I think he would like the idea of getting them back up the leagues again on the cheap and making more money when he sells them on again.
-
I was surprised he got a game so astounded he got a bloody goal!!

Seems the changes have made a big difference. Who would have thought that getting rid of the mods would help so much?
