  1. Just had a quick look online for the techy differences and the PS3 comes out on top but not by much so both systems are pretty much comparable. When the PS3 came out I half expected Xbox to follow up with a new console to beat the PS3 followed by a new console soon after from Playstation and so it would continue like it has in the past. Xbox didn't see the PS3 as that much of a competition as they just jazzed up there current system a bit. http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/111/1116182p1.html
  2. That's the best review of each so far IMO. Black ops problems have not been limited to just the PS3 though as staying in games in party's on the Xbox was a farking nightmare at the beginning. Live tv on the Xbox works well too. It's been offered free up until December but I think you need the multiroom package on sky (an extra £10 a month) to get it in the future. I use it to watch movies and series in bed when ever I want as I don't always sky plus everything. Not sure if the mulitroom package will get many subscribers to keep live tv so can see it becoming a free service in the future anyway
  3. Only time I have seen the online on both systems was for black ops. PS: Sat in a silent lobby with no voice chat unless you have a headset was odd. No option for voice through the tv. Played a couple of games and despite the usual COD lag probs, looked like a COD God even though it was my first time on the PS controller. My mate wasn't amused that he got owned by an Xbox user. Same mate came round to mine and played COD on my Xbox and had trouble getting used to the controller, trouble with lag, was tired, had too much to drink and a load of other poor excuses. And generally got owned by everyone. Said the game play online was much faster on the Xbox and the players were generally much better. He still claimed ps3 was better but think he thought more if the Xbox after that then before.
  4. I'm not a halo fan myself. Ghost recon and FIFA are my fav's. Making do with COD till GR comes back.
  5. Hardware wise the only thing better in a ps3 is the blueray player. The software and lay out of the ps3 probably make it more user friendly for more than just games. Other than blueray I haven't seen the ps3 do anything the Xbox can't. Xbox and ps are always trying to out do each other yet when ps released the ps3 Xbox replied with the same Xbox 360 with built in wifi and a quieter fan. Xbox konnect seems better than the ps and wii motion tech too. Op just wants to play FIFA online though so doesn't sound like all the other options for each system is anything being thought about. I still prefer the online play on the Xbox by a country mile so would still get my vote for the op.
  6. Everyone I know with both have got more more money than sense Enough said.
  7. Xbox360 gets my vote too. Online play is loads better and you can usually get deals on the years subscription taking it down to £20 for a year sometimes. People I know with a ps3 say it's better than the Xbox but I don't know many with a ps3 compared to people I know with an Xbox. The blue ray option is only a benefit to people who are going to buy blue ray dvd's. And if your going to go for a decent collection of them you would be better off getting a stand alone blue ray player with all the trimmings.
  8. But what do you really think?
  9. Do you really think it's a possibility? I know we have been going on about how we can see what no other can for months and months but there has always been this niggling feeling that they would be fine in the end. Going back into admin so soon would surly crucify your club and leave it a million miles away from anyone that wanted to rescue it. With so many false dawns I expect someone will bend over for Pompey again and all will be fine although rather stained. Isn't it about time someone started up an AFC Pompey to give the genuine fans something decent to support?
  10. Ive reported this post, and your name and your picture and your post count and your views on baptism and your socks I hope you get infracted to hell and back again in a ball bag. x
  11. It would be unlike me to take anything seriously so this site shouldnt take it too personally.
  12. Were they given life ban's? I think a banned/infraction list is a good idea. If it was the real world sentances and punishments are usually made public so dont see why its not the same in this fake cyber world.
  13. I didnt even know Deppo got the temporary boot! But for what its worth I havent seen any of his posts and thought they were out of order. I havent seen any of his posts that I thought were serious either and I usually find them funny. Suppose its horses for courses and all that and I guess some dont get the humour. My wife loves Lee Evans and I think he is an annoying little prik who sweats allot doing the same voice and jokes. Cant all like the same things.
  14. I dont think it is that black and white though. Ricky has been dropping deep to win the header flick on's and no-one has done anything with those flick on's. Had OC, Guly, Barnard, Lallana and even Hammond made more of the balls coming off Rickys head he would have looked allot more productive even without being on the score sheet as much. Last season the ball was played up to his chest where he held it up to bring other players in. Pass it and turned to get into the box and was the right person to make the most of the balls into the box that followed. Lallana made more of the little lay offs that Ricky provided last season too. Flicking the ball on has done nothing this season and defenses have lapped it up. Ricky looks cak cause he is getting no goals or assists or being helpful in setting up any meaningful chances. IMO I think its down to the role he is playing this season. Is that down to him, the team or the manager though?
  15. he replied to me saying the whole team was gutted after sat. about the result and performance. im suprised he replied at all as I was expecting he got flooded with questions by us lot lol
  16. Taking the goals out of the argument I still think he was crap yesterday. He lacked any idea of what to do for most of the game. I wouldnt want him publicly flogged for it but I wouldnt be putting my arm round him telling him all nice stuff either. He is better than yesterdays performance and that effort was well below his usual standard. he just wasnt at the races at all. He was unlucky with the goals cause the 1st caught him on the wrong foot and I thought he did well to get a hand too it considering and it was unlucky to fall like it did. The second shouldnt have been if the defending was better and if the ball gets to that part of the pitch in front of any keeper it would end up in the back of the net more often than not. But his kicking, timing, decissons and positioning got him in trouble all game long. Ive not slated him on here in my previous post because I dont put that team non-performance down to him. The manager chose the team and gave them instructions. If he told them hoof ball was the answer then he is partly to blame. If he didnt tell them to play hoof ball then he is also partly to blame for not getting the team prepared or getting his plan across to them well enough. The whole team get the blame for not putting nearly enough effort into it. The game is over now and I saw the players faces as they walked off the pitch. Every single one of them were not happy and I would bet that every single one of them would think that performance wasnt good enough. I hope they did anyway and I hope they put a better shift in next match. I am a bit disapointed that the players on the bench were deemed good enough to be there but it didnt look like NA thought they were good enough to get a chance to change the game. We needed something in the middle and Gobern was sat there. I dont think he is ready for a proper run ahead of some of the others we have but think he would have offered more than hammond and spiderman. Whats the point of having subs if they are not good enough to be there?
  17. Why was he banned anyway? And was it a life ban or will he be back at some point anyway? Didn't he get banned but came back as benson Phillips anyway?
  18. I don't get to many games but yesterday was possibly the worst I had seen saints play! I couldn't believe they had 14 days to prepare for that shower of crap. They looked like they were a team that had been plucked from the crowd 5 mins before kick off. OC looked like the most threat and Lallana woke up in the 2nd half. But no-one looked lime they knew what they were doing. Were they even told a game plan? NC changed things in the second half and with a bit more effort we took a little more control but the only time they looked comfortable was when they played in-effective hoof ball. They were obviously told to quit that for the second half but looked like they had no idea of how to do things differently. Won't be winning any leagues playing like that so manager through to toilet cleaner and everyone in between needs a good kick up the ass IMO!
  19. Champions League has been mentioned before. Would be nice to know if that is a serious aim and if so will we at some point be looking to buy in the super stars of world football to achieve it or making our own super stars of world football via our own academy?
  20. EDIT: Cause I am a muppet who cant read!!! While its all good things to hear I dont think any of it is massive news. IMO it all seems like the stuff we kind of knew but would be nice if it was confirmed. Now I guess its confirmed??? Business as usual and look forward to our march up the leagues.
  21. Made I proper LOL. Office dont get what I found so funny though. lol
  22. Think thats most likly. If he let the club die a while back he would have been down everything he put in. If he comes away only being £5 mil down I think he will take that as a success considering. If they get promoted he will take that as a decent bonus out of a crappy situation. Think the problems there will stick with the club for a few more years to come though as by the time any tax evassion cases get sorted Chainrai could be long gone and a new owner could be left to worry about the possability of points deductions. You would think it would be in Pompeys interest to get things done and dusted asap.
  23. If the Parachute payments are earmarked to pay the debts and Chainrai sold the club for £25 mil today then would he not just get the £25 mil minus anything he has had to shell out? I would guess he is somewhere around £5 mill out of pocket if it goes for £25 mil today. The remaining parachute payments would remain the clubs wouldnt they? Unless he manages to flog a few players that are not part of the CVA and pocket that and still sell the club for £25 mil I cant see him on a winner if they remain in the Championship. Gain promotion however and he will be quids in.
  24. Haha brilliant. Just when you think it has started to slow down. They can't help giving us something to laugh at. And to think gaydamak bent over so a deal could be reached to let chainrai take the club out of admin. As soon as he does he tries to stitch gaydamak up like a kipper.
  25. My 1st thought was I need to go down the road and disinfect Paignton of a thick skate, but the wording does suggest it may be one of us on the WU. lol Torquay is not a bad place to live and our neighbours down the road in Paignton do house the more chavier folks in Torbay so PaigntonPompey probably blends right in.
