sounds like there is enough people interested in him to get a good price. If Adkins doesnt see him fitting in then fair enough but I would be asking him if he wants to fight for a place at a club that is obviously going somewhere or if he wants a fresh start somewhere else? Good luck to him what ever happens.

True in the past. but how often do we find out whats going on these days before the OS spills the beans?
-
Someone not told the OS or a bit of mind games and we will unleash him as our secret weapon on sat? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/PreviewDetail/0,,10280~2259588,00.html

The Blackpool preview on the OS says that all the players out on loan are continuing there spells away. When does the loan actually finish? I though the last game for Milwall was the last game in the current loan? Does that mean its been extended?

So, a few months on from them "getting away with it" and they still give us things to laugh at. Fair play to Mac and Mero for coming back to join in on the banter every now and then. I think I would find it hard to show my face if our club went through as much crap as there's. Just think, if things hadnt gone for them on numerous occasions over the past year or so, they could by now be supporting an afc pompey or similar doing things the right way and fighting for a legitimate place in a lower league. Even having a few of us wishing them a speedy return to a league near us so the rivalry can continue. As it is they are still clinging on by a thread throwing money away on players that will no doubt move on somewhere else as soon as the club has gone pop while the creditors sit and wait for the whole thing to go belly up. Will they make it till the end of the season or will it all crumble by the end of Jan?

Not quite the same but I play skater hockey on the left yet I am a right hander with the stick. Much better angle to shoot from and get good goals but not much use getting crosses in for others. If you want a winger to get balls into the box then they need to be playing on the side of there strongest foot. If you want the winger to join the front 2 to make a front 3 then play them on the oposite side so they can have a good angle to shoot on there stronger foot. Cant play both systems at the same time without having a manic full back that overlaps for great crosses. Leaves the defence open though so allot of variables to consider.

We have no reserves side. Just a 1st team squad and under 21's that include 1st team squad members if they need match practice at any time. They play against any team that want a match by all accounts and do fairly well all things considered. I doubt many of them will get a run out against Blackpool considering they didnt get a run out in the last round either I think.

I couldnt listen to the last FA Cup game on the bbc online thingy so im not very hopeful of this one being online either.
-
I didn't think the shop was theirs any more?
-
Should be a good game as both them and us do better at attacking than defending. Next round is not important but would be a bonus if we got there so it's a no pressure game for us IMO. Blackpool will be expected to beat us and won't be happy to lose to a league 1 club.

WTF are Pompey going to do if the FL tell them to hand over some refunds? It doesn't sound like they have enough income to sustain there current outgoings so a few refunds could cause them some serious grief! Come on FL!! Deal with it properly please!

 I find myself agreeing with you Alps!!! I believe we will get promoted this season, might not be a straight forward march to the title as we would like but fairly sure we will get there non the less. I think we will do OK in the Championship too but like you I cant see us having a start to the season any better than all our other starts to the seasons. We see to have something built into our club that says we must start crap!
-
I agree in that our team should be strong enough to win this league. And barring injurys or loss of form from key players there is plenty of room to go on and win the league. Football is not like that though and we have proved we have been a little week in some area's of the squad so strengthening is a good idea. Add to that the fact that winning the league is not the only plan moving forward and being active in the transfer windows is vital. The plan is to win the league and then aim for top 6 of the championship next season. So players coming in need to be of the right quality to push us in that direction or there is no point in bringing them in.

Hahaha! Priceless!!

I was in London a couple of weekends back and some bloke started shouting at me in the street. Took me a few seconds to realise that he saw the saints badge on my jacket and thought he would have a bit of banter in regent street. Was trying to be cryptic to see if I know who the hell he was or who he supports. Going on about pub team we are playing and stuff. I played along a bit until he gave it away (I knew we had Charlton next but not bothered looking further) he was a daggers fan and seemed most excited to spot me in the street. We spoke for a couple of secs then he said he is their groundsman. He told me if I ask for little Tony at the turnstiles he would get me into the club bar. Unfortunately I will not be there but I'm guessing his invite would extend to all of us. It was a strange few minutes but it makes the game mean a little more than just 3 points to me now. Not a lot though! Let's hope we don't fall down against the teams we really should beat like we did last year! COYS

They would taste the same at the time. But what if someone came back later and pointed you out to the farmer who then re-arranged all 24 fingers and toes for stealing his apples? Would that scrumped apple taste be worth it? Your club seems to have a wage budget which seems to be pretty far fetched already, but is used up with a load of over paid and under preforming players leaving you with a shortage of players. Watford do not have any parachute payments to bail them out while they cover some prem wages yet they have a full squad of players, including youth, that are not breaking the bank and are doing quite well. If your club does eventually fold are you going to feel as good about the ride your club has taken you on?
-
Would be interesting to know watford's total wage bill compared to poor old pompey's. Watford are doing things the right way and Pompey..... It seems they have no grasp what so ever of running anything and it is surly only a matter of time before they cave in completely?

Taking out the playing for a contract line, it always makes me wonder how some teams fail to get the best out of a player yet for other teams they become world beaters? We had McDonald I think that WGS saw going nowhere and got rid. He went on to be prolific in Scotland and WGS took him onto Celtic. He even did ok in the champions league with them. Now back in England he is half the player again. Puncheon has been up and down at several clubs and seems to be showing us what we were missing while he was here. I wonder if players have any idea what's going on? Do managers get them in to do a job that is outside there skill set? Do players need to be more professional? Good luck to punch if he stays gone. I'm with others in that if he comes back to us it won't be with his new found form so better all round if he gets the move he seems to be after.

Heard commentators talking about the Dane keeper man u have signed. They said that although the transfer window opens jan 1st there is nothing that can be done until the 1st working day of the month. Due to bank hol on weekends and so on that takes it till Tuesday before business can be done. I guess that's the same for Lawrence too? I don't get how we managed to complete the signing of chaplow ready for the 1st when man u can't and Pompey having half a season to get things ready can't do it either?
-
If that happens then it would appear like they are acting like a club that has been in admin! #itwillneverhappen Perhaps had they done it from the off they would have earned a little more respect from a few more people. As it is more and more people wouldn't be too bothered if they folded completely. It's there own fault but no doubt they will blame the league and everyone else for there misfortune!
-
Just seen that cotterill is talking to brown to ask him to take a pay cut too. If he plays 1 more game under the current contract he should go back to 34k a week! Richard Hughes is in the same boat if he plays instead of brown. They could be back in the same position harping on about having no players within a week or so. Only this time they will be paying the current wages and not afford any extra. That will rule out paying the prem wages to current players and it will also rule out taking extra wages on board for more loan players. Things could start to unravel for them in the new year.
-
When is ben hiam or what ever his name is due back? They could be paying much of his wages already so when he comes back it might not be much more of an extra cost, but if there is talk of another admin then any extra cost won't be good news for them. Are there any transfer rumours for the blue few to get there hopes up with? Actually I'm not sure which way they would get there hopes up. Are they hoping to strengthen or off load? Do they still think now they are out of admin they can afford a promotion charge or do they think they should be cutting there cloth to a more tighter fit?
-
Not that I think it will but, if that investigation finds a few erm... Errors in the previous management's ways... It could (and probably should) result in points penalty's which I bet the blue few are not planning to absorb in there F U approach to screwing there way back up the league's. So there is a chance that it could still mean an end to the club. Just may drag out the death even further.

That comparison says at the start that it's only comparing the latest models for each. PS have updated there's a few times too so it's difficult to compare each model but essentially the PS3 and xbox360 are the current models. Xbox brought out the 360 before the PS3 came out. I expected Xbox to come out with a completely new console to compete. But they have only just upgraded the 360 so must think there are a few more years left with fair competition.
-
To be fair, that link starts off by saying it's only comparing the hardware in it's basic form and when ever possible it mentions how the hardware is used differently on each. I only looked cause the PS3 is newer and you would think hardware would have been much further ahead. Although it tops the Xbox it's not by much. The main differences to the normal user have been explained by most on here I still vote Xbox though. Lol
