Yeah I have been thinking the same thing. On our day out attacking could be a match for anybody. Unfortunately our defence on its day, struggles to compete at league 1 level so could get bent over and torn a new one if Man U show up with half an intent on winning.

I have faith in that what ever happens, there will be enough people trying to do things properly to at least give it a good go. I think the slippery gits will find a way out of it all on technicality's rather than being proved innocent. I asked bbc_matt if the adjournment was good or bad for them and he said, bbc_matt: impossible to tell at this point. And even if this goes against them they can still win the actual trial. My guess is its not as cut and shut as either side would like so will prolly go to trial just to finish it once and for all.

Maybe this is something Cortese wishs to implement at the club also, Up front payments for everything and he expects the same in return. I havnt heard of any of our deals being done based on staggered payments so it wouldnt surprise me if we demand the same respect in return.

I think we might be able to offer a better finacial package but that doesnt mean we will. Ive no doubt our players are well payed but I do doubt they are paid more because we can afford it. Although spending more money on the development side, buildings and staff, the model IMO is to be as self financing as possible so we will be tring to keep within fair limits to our turn over for wages. There may well be some decent bonus's attached for promotion and may even be things written in for pay rises if we are playing championship footy next year but our wages offer right now would probably be less than many championship clubs offers right now IMO

I would be pretty amazed if he chose us over a couple of the others. He would have to be absolutly certain that we were going to get promoted this season IMO and there is no gaurentee of that. A sensible decission would probably land him in the championship rather than Blackpool or us. But never know and until he has spoken to any of the clubs anything could happen I suppose.

How is the Database compilled? Is it not from people who have purchased tickets in the previous games home and away? Would Matty actually be in that database? Or does that database have a priority order? Say the most regular ticket purchasers are entitled to tickets ahead of the lesser purchasers? I think being Matty should get him at least some privilages that the rest of us would have to earn but I agree with Phil's rant in that he probably needs to think a bit before going whining to the press.

I suppose, it depends on how much game time he has had recently though. He might not be that match fit so putting him up against Man U's right side might put him off playing football for life! I doubt Adkins has made his mind up yet and possibly might not even know who he will have available by Sat if Puncheon has a strop or the pressure gets too much for AOC. Personally I would put a new winger on the bench for a game like Saturdays unless he was already a world beater and comanded a 1st team spot no matter who the opposition is.

Seaborne only had the 1st half and puncheon is getting the 2nd half so sounds like a fitness boost for the pair of them and a run out for the rest. Id guess the 2 changes you mentioned but also Puncheon might start ahead of AOC who will come on from the bench for 20 mins.

Not many chances of us getting a result but he wont want our kids to get humiliated either. I hope that we just give it a good go rather than try to play a defensive game that we are useless at. If Puncheon had a strop about being benched for Tranny and didnt get on the bus, I am suprised he has turned up for a Bench spot for the under 21's. Maybe he has got something else going on which made him bomb out of the Tranny match and needs a few mins today for fitness?

I only started following them to get match updates. But they dont do nearly enough of them if I am honest. Team line ups is about the only news they sometimes manage to break before anyone else! Noticed Puncheon is on the bench for the Under 21's today.

In 2009 it was 5 loans so they should be OK. Only 4 loans from 1 club though Standard loans can be for half a season or a full season. These can only be done during the two transfer windows (i.e. by the end of today or in January 2010). Emergency loans can be done outside of the transfer window, but not after the fourth Thursday in November or March. A club can have a maximum of four players under 23 and a further four over 23 on standard loan during the season. There is no limit on Emergency Loans. However, only four players maximum can join one club from another during the season. A maximum of five loan players can be named on a team sheet. Not found if the rules are the same now or not but dont think there was a change unfortunatly.
