  1. Was about to post the same thing. The Gallery of what it all should look like looks good too. Not sure about the plan on it being haunted will work but its certainly forward thinking.
  2. My wife completly re-done her CV last night to go for a new job. She has no experience in the new job or qualifications but when glancing through her previous jobs or her skill set each one is tailored to highlight skills that are transferable to the new job. In each section of previous jobs she hasnt just focused on actual qualifications but also on practical skills used or learnt for each job. The experience can be as important as paper qualifications. I used to have a standard 2 page CV that I had ready to send out to multiple business' and a more complex CV complete with references that I had ready to take to any interviews I may get. I also had a CV tailored for specific jobs if I saw them much like my Wife did last night. I have been lucky in that every job I have gone for I have got. How much of that is down to a CV and how much is down to luck or desperation is open for debate but I guess the CV's have had some input.
  3. As brilliant as he was, are you saying that he wasnt Lazy? Part of the reason we all love him so much is that he was pure class without even giving full effort. He had that much skill he only needed to turn up for 5 mins of most matches to be hailed as our hero. Dont think knickers need twisting over that comment TBH.
  4. For anyone that wants more info http://www.exsaints.co.uk/ http://opencharities.org/charities/1122431 The 2nd has a bit more info including some accounts info. The 1st states that they are affiliated with the club which I guess may have to be re-written now the club is directly affiliated with The Saints Foundation. Weston Saint's post puts things into context though. Times have changed for all and some might not like it. Everyone should get a grip and at least question weather their actions are for the good of the club or not though. I think all sides could handle things better and I hope they soon will.
  5. Is 100% of the money raised going to charity or are there "Expenses" payments to be paid to those who attend? Will Mike Osman, Big Mac, Le Tiss and Benalli talk and joke about how NC is damaging our club and how unfair it is that they have all been wronged? Is this being arranged via the saints official charity the Saints Foundation? Surly if NC had alloud the club to be assoiciated with this event then it would have caused a bigger PR Blunder if it came out later that the "Star Guests" were no more than expensive employee's of the event, or the club back an event that spend a good portion of the time publicly barrateing the club and its chairman, or why the club is not backing its own charity ahead of an event that is organised privatly elsewhere?
  6. Problem is, its not Cortese that is dragging the club into the gutter every 5 mins. Im sure he would love to honor all the ex managers and players that have graced our club but when all they can do now is sl@g off the club and Cortese, why the hell should he? We are celebrating 125 years of our club and many previous players have come in to be a part of it. None of which have been vocal in bashing the current club. Those out in the cold could take note TBH.
  7. Would McDonnalds be happy if you set up an event under the McDonnald's name supporting ex Ronlald McDonnald's while slating the current Ronald for not keeping them on the pay roll? The club owns the rights to its branding and things so should be in charge of how its all used. If ex players and legends think the club is bad enough to slate in the press every 5 mins then why do they want to use the clubs image and branding? Why would the club want to donate its branding and image to a bunch of people that constantly moan to the press about how bad the club is now?
  8. Sounds like SC doesn't realise he is a manager at a club that's had money problems. I thought he was pretty thick to take on a job down there when all looked so bleak. But comments like that just make him look like the thickest man in football! Keep them comic SC. lol
  9. Seaborne gave away a pen but looked to me like it could of happened to anyone so I don't hold that against him. The only other thing wrong with his performance was him getting done for pace. Can't see jaidi being the answer for that one. Both seaborne and jaidi are good in the air but get done for speed too often. Harding and butterfield are good going forward but that leaves the defence short. As long as the defence stays the way it is we will always be liable to concede goals. I like the back line we have along with the options available. But they all need to step up a few levels if they want to be 1st choice at our club especially the higher up the leagues we go.
  10. I managed to get a seat right at the top of the stand next to the banner between us and the home lot. During the 2nd half some of our fans slipped over to the other side and sat with the home fans for a bit. When they came back they were joking about how they took the away stand. lol. I was wondering if there was anyone from on here round by me?
  11. In the 1st half N'Guessen went running up the left wing with the ball and seemed surprised to get past a couple of players with the ball still at his feet. More luck than skill at that point. Plenty of running but didnt look that comfortable on the ball. Only time he looked good was when he played a few passes that led to him running onto the ball at the by-line and getting a decent cross in that Lambert lapped up for our 1st goal. He was taken off then which I thought was strange at the time. Lack of match fitness probably brought that about but I thought he was worth another 5 mins while we were on top and doing the right things. The change of formation from that sub let Exeter get back on the attack and it became end to end. The changes did mean that the long balls had more quality about them which brought about the 2nd goal so all was well in the end. I haven't seen the highlights but the defence looked pretty solid throughout the game and delt with pretty much everything Exeter through at them. They got through the midfield too easily and the defence probably had more to deal with than they should have but at least they stood up to the task. KD probably should have stayed back for there goal but like the after match interview with Adkins says, the ball wasnt bouncing as it should and if it was on our pitch KD would have come out and cleared it no problem.
  12. I think the disappointing thing was we were supposed to be the passing team but resorted to hoof ball most of the match. The only time we looked like a passing team we scored our 1st goal. Exeter played round us really well and would be right to feel gutted about the result. That said, I couldn't give a rats arse how badly we play if we still pick up 3 points. Promotion chasing teams need to pick ip results when they are not at their best and that's exactly what we did. For all the neat football Exeter played our defence coped with it pretty well and KD pulled off saves when he needed too. Their goal had enough luck about it to go in against most teams so no blame from me. Glad I didn't curse the team by going to another match that we lose. Last 3 I went to went that way so I was worried before. Lol
  13. I didn't think he looked any good either but appreciate it was his 1st few mins with a new team and hardly trained with them so expect him to improve allot in the coming weeks. Didn't expect much from him considering and my expectations were reached.
  14. Why go for free transfers when you can fool the league into letting you sign players that cost real money???
  15. My opinion, for what it's worth, we played really well in the 1st half, even though we rode our luck a couple of times it was evened out as we were unlucky at the other end a couple of times too. 2nd half however showed up a few things. We are getting good at plan A but when Man U switched to have some width our only answer was to try and defend it. Doing that we lost all our positive forward play. Fitness gave way 2nd half too and showed how far behind a 2nd string prem team we are. All the talk of the ref being against us is a bit odd too. I thought the free kick that led to their goal was a but soft but thought it was still a free kick. Loads of free kicks against us at the end but they looked like good decisions too. We were knackard, desperate and they were playing keep ball effectively. 1st half we fully deserved the lead but 2nd half I thought Man U deserved theirs too. Fair result and the team can be proud of their effort. Back to a promotion chase and a marker of the levels the team need to progress too so a good day in all. I was worried we would get embarrassed as we wouldn't show up. Ended up being proud of the team and hope they feel the same way.
  16. I think Wenger got duped in the interview last week and let his guard down. His comments then IMO are no more than public tapping up and I reckon SFC would have got in contact with Arsenal to let them know they are prepared to take it further if it were to continue. Not wanting to bite the hand that could end up feeding them I think that would be a fair approach. The interview yesterday was really cagey and spoke about our player like he was our player and Wenger didn't have a right to be speaking about him. Some serious back tracking if you ask me. The gumf in the press won't get brought up cause its all worded like it's fact but usually says allegedly or "a source" so we just have to put up with it IMO.
  17. I wish you would stop shouting every other word.... It doesnt matter what his contract is worth. He has told the club he would like to move on so they are listening to offers. They have a value set and they will accept any offers that meet that valuation or above. Maybe Ipswich couldnt offer him 1st team football? Or because they were paying more to get him maybe they couldnt offer as much in wages? Where are Ipswich going to be in the next year or so? Howe at Burnley seems like a good opertunity as Howe did very well at Bompey so chances are he will do at least OK with Burnley. Howe wanted to get Austin at Bompey but couldnt so this would be the 1st time he had worked with him. If its true he has a kid down this way then im sure he would have liked to have gone to a club close by. But again.... If we didnt have a bid accepted then there was no way of discussing moving to us.
  18. Wenger's pre match press thingy has just been on SSN where they asked if they sign no-one will that be deemed a failed transfer window. He said no because they havent identified any player that will strengthen the team so they wouldnt have lost out on anyone. Then he was asked about AOC and he was really vague saying there is no news although they like the player. He was asked if Man U's supposed interest will help Arsenal's focus to get him. He said he doesnt think so and that he cant really comment on if other clubs like a player or not. I reckon Arsenal have spoken to someone at our club and had their knuckles rapped for talking about our player in the way they have. Doesnt meant nothing will happen but think dealing with Saints in a public way will not wash with anyone anymore and Arsenal seem like they realise that now.
  19. Just being pedantic but it sounds like that report is trying to jump the gun with the story. Neither clubs have said anything to confirm it even though its probably going to be finalised by the end of the day.
  20. Are you on medication today or something? If we are 3rd or 4th bidders then that is hardly his choice. We could have put a bid in right at the start but if Swindon accept 2 other bids before ours then we will be 3rd bidders if we like it or not. If 3 clubs have bids accepted then he is free to talk to all 3. We believe he has spoken to Ipswich and now Burnley. If both are true then we know they had bids accepted. That might be it for all we know. Had we had a bid accepted too why would he not have spoken to us? We may have offered him more than Burnley and better terms making us his 1st choice. But if we didnt have a bid accepted then there would be no reason for him to talk to us in the 1st place. He can only have a 1st choice out of the options available.
  21. Huh? Do we know that Saints even bid and if so was it accepted?
  22. Echo that.
  23. Ah fair point. Didnt it have direct quotes from MLT though? If it was Paper trash MLT could always come out and say its got nothing to do with him.
  24. I think its fair to say no-one really knows what the hell is going on. lol
  25. Are you saying you are confident in our defence every game? The Stats lie sometimes and I think us conceding so few goals is more down to how many times we have blown teams away by freely attacking and pushing teams back than any superb show of defending. Can we do that against Man U or will our defence get exposed?
