  1. It might not completly ruin the england job for him. Venables got done for something and was still the england manager didnt he? Not sure what way round that was but he is still respected(ish) in the football world. Would be nice to see some dirt stick on the twitchy bugger though!
  2. Says the decision is expected by the end of March. Looks like thats only a decision on updating the Anti-Deprviation Principle but that update is the key to what happens next. So it could still be a while before anything happens here, as if that decision goes in favour of Lehmans then it sounds like it will go back to court for them, and HMRC will still be waiting for the result of that before they do anything here. Lehmans got knocked back twice though based on how that Anti-Deprivation Principle is set out right now so its not looking good for them. Could be back to the drawing board for HMRC then.
  3. I just googled "Skate fish mouth" and there is absolutly no way I would ever put my knob anywhere near that thing!!!!!! Amost turned me to religion!!!
  4. So how many weeks was it that the Russians would be taking over? I know news down there has been a bit slow latley which is suprising considering they were just about to be taken over....... again! Internationals have given there squad a break which could line them up for a few decent results but that could just extend the agony on missing out on the play-offs at the last minute. Any updates from the Ho latley?
  5. He wouldnt mind if the press didnt bother to turn up for his interviews then and just hashed the same old clap trap he usually says each week? As Barry the Badger says, I like how he talks of the aims of the club and not settling for 2nd place just because its easier even though we know thats all that matters. Just get fed up with the same old guff that fills the rest of his interview's, specialy in a slow footy week! Still, I hope he is the man that takes us back to the Prem and onwards and upwards for a good time after that!
  6. I think AL could do quite well in behind the front 2 but I dont think there is room for Oxo if he plays there. Oxo trying to get forward leaves one side open to the oppo's attack and we get exposed. 4 accross the middle means if AL or Oxo go forward there is still a good number in the middle to cover. Cant see Oxo or AL being dropped to make a formation work without Morgan and the only mid-field replacements we have are attacking players. We have the players to play the flat 4 with Chapplow and Hammond in the middle, AL and oxo on the flanks. N'Guessen and Forte can cover the wide players if needed but we only have Pulis as cover in the middle. Im sure we could cope a couple of games like this and by then Gobern will be back who could do a job if needed.
  7. Google translate came up blanks with this. Can anyone else help??
  8. We used to sing about Lowe!!!
  9. It does my head in as it sounds like its an act. I wonder if he speaks the same to the team or his wife? Its the same as the whole 3rd person thing when speaking about himself back in the interviews before he joined us. That said, I know his interviews are going to be the same and the same lines are going to come out. So I tend not to bother reading his statements on the OS or listen in when he is on the radio or TV. All I really care about is the team doing well and us getting 3 points. If this is how he achieves that then I wont be moaning or having a pop. If the results were going the other way more often than not I doubt his talking style would keep many friends with the fans though.
  10. TBF I think it would be brilliant if we picked a different member of staff every home game and got a massive chant on. Not so much the top members of staff but the ones that are on the front line dealing with our fans week in week out. Imagine working in the club shop or on the gates and hearing the the fans singing your name round the stadium?
  11. I could hear the Leibherr chant on the TV but couldnt tell who it was for. "Theres only oooooooooone brbrbr brbrbrbr, only ooooooooone brbrbr brbrbrbr, walking along, singing along, walking in a brbrbr wonderland!!" Suprised to see so many on here sitting in front of the DB. Small world n all that.
  12. Bank holiday out on the raz in Plym is always a good shout. My ole mans B'day weekend though so could be a conflict of interests.
  13. Exactly! In fact, any possible transfers that have been leaked have very quickly gone down the pan soon after. If there was any truth in this one the chances are it was dead and buried the moment it was leaked. The club like to do business behind closed doors and don't mix well with gobby people that like to hike the price via the press or rumours. The more rumours there are the more surprised I will be if the deal actually happens.
  14. That means if saints player want to offer a paid commentary service they will have to provide their own. Might make it worth paying for instead if paying for the BBC service!
  15. If a player is in an offside position and the opo defender plays a poor ball back to the keeper. Would the attacker be offside? Im sure that your comment is based on the ball being played by the attacking team in which case yesterday Fonte passed the ball to the attacker via Butterfield so made the decission correct?
  16. The gobern sending off was a real scratch your head moment and it's really difficult to figure out what he was trying to do? It didn't look like he was trying to hurt anyone though but it was an obvious sending off. The offside goal was a clearance from us that hit 1 of our players so the ref was right to over turn it IMO.
  17. I don't think we are in with any chance of getting him now. Just using him as an example. If the club could get him in the fans would be happy and he would improve the squad. The players that are actually available however might not be of the standard that demand a 1st team spot which leaves us with what we have right now or bringing in squad members to compete for a place on our bench.
  18. I think everyone would be happy if we replaced our entire squad with the Barca 1st team but realistically our current squad should be good enough to do the business in league 1, and trying to lure NPC and above level players to compete for a place on our bench is going to be very difficult so I think its reasonable for so many to be happyish with what we have right now. If we brought in CMS most would no doubt be happy and he would at least be competing for a 1st team spot and adding good value to the team. Who in the CM would we be looking at that would do the same? A month loan to cover the injury's and possible suspensions would be nice but Im not sure who it would be nice to go for? Anyone in the championship? Im thinking more Prem class player but there are not many that will drop down to championship let alone league 1 so its back to looking at what we have available. When Pardew 1st came in we were a team that wanted to go up and hardly had any competition for places so anyone wanting to drop down would be looking at an automatic 1st team spot. Not so many of those places left so its much harder to find someone better than what we have and willing to make the step down to help us step back up.
  19. Well a couple of rows back and you could be a looky-likey for Jose, Robin Van-Persie, Oasis bloke, Collingwood, Duncan Goodhew or Herman Munster. As for which one of them is good looking or not I couldnt tell ya. lol
  20. I work at a Zoo doing IT so Lion's roaring and Gibbons screaming and kids shouting aside....... No actually I have been run off my feet and its not even summer yet when it gets bloody busy here!!! No money to spend but plenty of projects to be done gives me plenty to do. Your place must have too many staff
  21. Are you the erm chick 2 down in front of NC?
  22. Ive just said above that its not that I think its a bad bench but compared to what we would have available without injury's it is a little light. I dont think there is much that can or will be done about it as anyone being brought in would need to be of 1st team standard. I doubt there are many players available that would replace many of our 1st team and any that are willing to come and warm the bench will prob be of the same standard we already have doing that very same thing. Not much point in that IMO. My personal views of the players from the bench last night are what make me think the bench was a little light though and if we bring the likes of Holmes, Jaidi, Morgan, DC and Bart back in from injurys how many from last bench would still make the bench? I saw N'Geussan at Exeter and thought he had the touch of a rapist. Good cross for the goal but until then I could only applaud the effort he put in trying to keep the ball under control as he ran. Not seen Forte play so cant give an honest opinion but it sounds like he has some work to do to improve his standard if he wants to compete for a 1st team spot that some of our injured players would automatically get a look in for. Richardson and Dickson are 1st team players and are being kept out of the team by 2 players who are equally deserving of that 1st team spot Seaborne along with Martin who started have the potential to be our regular 1st teamers and are more than capable to rotating with Jaidi until they reach there potential I really want Gobern to become a 1st team player week in week out as he is another product of our system, and whilst he is doing well and getting better he is only getting chances due to injurys of curent 1st teamers. That may change soon as he improves and settles into the team more but for now he is still down in the pecking order. Forecast in theory is no worse than any other keeper we may be able to get in on loan. If KD got injured the other week how confident would we have been to have the arsenal kid between the posts? Any more so that Forecast? So although it is less of a bench that we have been lucky to have I dont think there is much that will get done unless we lose anyone else with injury's or we get the chance to bring someone in that will take an automatic 1st team spot and help us push for 1st in the league.
  23. I think thats my point though. On paper the bench looked a little light weight compared to what it has been at times this season. Injurys are the main reason for this and none of them are perminent. Get Holmes, DC, Bart, Jaidi and Morgan back and the bench is full of 1st team players that make it look strong again. Im not saying those that stood in are not capable. But anyone that gets brought in would need to be at the very least the standard that last nights bench was at but pushing more towards the standard of those out injured. IMO it probably wont happen and we will stick with what we have unless we get any more injurys forcing us to bring people in. Im glad Gobern and Martin are getting some chances. I thought Gobern was going to progres when we 1st used him but he went off the boil, probably as his confedence was shot alone with the rest of the team. If he comes back now and reaches his potential then he could be good for us. Would he make the bench right now ahead of a fit Morgan, Holmes or even DC though? So while the bench looked light I think it is still very capable for league 1 and will get stronger by just getting some players back from injury.
  24. Van Persie made a quick trip after getting sent off at Barca to stand next to Jose. One of the Gallagher brothers stood next to him and I see Paul Sturrock bottom right 2nd row came to enjoy the match too. And has Paul Collingwood been using some new moisturiser to make him look younger? Up and right from Jose. Im sure there are a few more in there.
  25. Would be interesting to hear what his thoughts are on the experience and what he might of expected to get out of it. He doesnt seem to be the kind of bloke that likes to sit at the top being told how shiney the world is. But would rather get involved and actually solve real problems from the ground up. Fair play to him. Hope it achieves better success than previous methods.
