Proper scratch of the head moment ain't it? Everyone knows there is debt attached to the club as it stands and it's pretty obvious they need to increase their income to fund a break even figure on the current staff. Gaydamak owns some pretty important land that the club need to own if they want to do pretty much anything which is going to cost more spare change. Either complete guff is being spouted out or these russian mafia boys are being taken for a complete ride and will no doubt be preparing some concrete boots for Chainrai in the near future should he manage to off load the time bomb that is Pompey fc to the rusky's.

I was thinking I had seen him in a film before when I saw that picture...... Time Bandits or Jackass or something similar.....

Not quite sure when else we were supposed to play that match seeing as how many of our games got postponed earlier in the season. Im sure we had more postponements than the rest which was always going to cause a problem. Think Poyet is just gutted that we are going to finish so close to them and are obviously the better team. He is already talking about bringing in half a team and states that a whole team's worth are out of contract. He could start next season with a completly new starting 11 by the sounds of it. I doubt we will be changing as many.

SSN at 5 to see Stuart Pearce at SMS for U21 squad

1st thought I think he would but looks like a strong 40 so he could get cut. He has been put in as a forward too along with about 15 players by the looks of it! -

No mention of MLT but that doesnt mean he is not part of it yet. Granted the bridges have been burnt so possibly not a part of it and would defo be a shame if not. But the names released dont make a full team so plenty of time to add MLT and others in there. What names not mentioned do most want to see in there? Shilts or Flowers in goal? Obviously players still contracted to clubs wont be there but it would be great to see Bridge and Beatie in there somehow. Shearer possibly? Any more? -
Who would you like to win the Play-Offs? (League 1)

I would like Bompey to go up just to Laugh at Pompey when us BHA and Bompey all finish above the skates but due to the way Huddersfield have gone about this season I would be more than happy to see them go up. Conducted themselves better and played the game better than BHA so IMO are more deserving of promotion that BHA. -
Yeah I know its the last game of the season and all that. Just wondered if anyone knew the rule as to how many kits in what ever space of time if it is still around or not. It might be one of those red tape things that get in the way of a perfectly good idea n all that.
-
Must be some kind of age related bonus's attached to his pay grade

Can they release 2 new home kits in the same season? I thought there was some rule years ago about how many new kits a club could release in a certain space of time? I know our kit is a 1 season one but 2 home kits in 1 season might (on paper) not be alloud somehow? Although it seems like its still the most obvious choice as a new signing wouldnt happen untill the transfer window opens and season ticket pricing for Championship football before we have that P in the league table might not be politically correct. Cant think of anything else that maybe happening so soon into the 5 year plan.

Think that might be regular updates on 5 live rather than full commentary unfortunately.

So, it's the end of the week and the rusky's have not taken over. Another payday has come and gone so assuming wages have been paid we can assume Chainrai is even further out if pocket and further away from selling at a break even price. Anyone know when the court case dates are? I am wondering if Pompey will still exist by that time or not as with no hope of promotion and no hope of a sale, it's very possible that Chainrai may be looking into other ways be he can get some of his dosh back! Are the blue few thinking the same or do they still think a squad re-build and promotion push next season no matter what is more likely?
-
I get the impression that Matt Slater is more miffed at the goings on down in Plymouth than down in Pompey. It seems not many left that give a monkeys about them. THey can almost do as they please as they find a way out of their own mess one way or another too often.

See, thats the thing. A club that has been or is in as much trouble as them lot usually cuts its losses and sells up for a quid to someone that can take on the debt and try to bring it back to life. Chinny thinks that he can flog it onto someone who wants to re-build and take on the debt but doesnt want to cut his losses in the process. I am amazed he found someone that was willing to entertain that idea in the 1st place let alone frighten them off later by raising the price. Only way I can see anyone buying that dump is if Chinny is ready to take a big loss. Surley he would make more money back by folding and selling off the land and fittings than finding someone willing to line his pockets for a laugh.

10%??? they wanted 30mil for the shell of a club? The squad needs almost that again to build a team next season just able to compete in the championship! How would that sale effect gaydamak's piece of the puzzle? Would that then cost the rusky's more?? Not surprised problems have been found to be honest. It gives those with half a brain cell a chance to run like fluck!!
-
Ive just looked on SSN to see the report on it. Not much more info that I saw on the breaking news bit on the tele box. But I realised the 17 mil I thought was for the CVA was actually the loan repayment to Chainrai!! The CVA payment is bloody less than that! It seems mad that the people who tried to support and supply the club are getting less of a share than the person who helped put the club where it is and the fools actually agreed to it! I still don't get why someone would be prepared to spunk so much money on a club that needs so much more money to rebuild and get it back to just a championship level. When there are other clubs in a much more stable position ready for half the money. It's like going to a porsche garage and paying for the top of the line motor then getting keys to a Robin reliant missing it's front wheel, head lamp, seats and hand brake!!

It kind of makes the Football League look like a complete joke that is occasionally rescued by some decent matches. These FAPP tests should be transparent as it seems plenty of people have highlighted why this rusky is no good yet somehow the FL think he is ok. If the process was transparent I doubt the FL would make half the decisions that they have. They only risk getting found out if something really bad happens and then they will just look for someone else to blame as they will claim they bent... I mean followed the rules they put in place.
-
Blimey the rusky has passed the FAPP test and is expected to sign a deal to buy the club next week. SSN just had it on as breaking news. Said somit about paying back 17 mil over the next 2 years which I presume is the CVA. Also said the FL would have to ratify the deal if it goes through but then if they passed him for the FAPP test I doubt they will block him buying the club later on. I'm struggling to see how this could be any kind of good deal though? When a club is that far in the poo a buyer usually gets the club for a quid and has a real chance of turning it around. This purchase just seems to have million pound price tags hanging around everywhere you look. It will cost 17 mill for the CVA, around 15 mil at least to rebuild the squad, 20 mil to pay off Chainrai and around the same to pay off gaydamak. They are then left with a shabby ground and a small fan base that can't support a prem club so stable championship is probably the only cost effective option they have. Something seems dodgy to me unless those owed money have decided to cut their losses and move on out of pocket?

To be honest, I got no idea what the F all this # tag crap is all about. Who gives a F what everyone else is talking about? If I was interested in what they had to say I would follow them!
-
I'm on there but not thought of anything amazing to say on there. I did get Matt to say "will do" to me so that makes us BFF or something now. I follow baldsaint who usually comes out with the odd funny comment and a few other saints related people. Not seen anyone comment on the colour of their poo since the early days if twitter when I still though it was Kak

Am I having a whoosh moment or has something actually happened to suggest that they are all fine and dandy now?

I saw the video and it seems it was word for word but I put it down to a bit of confusion rather than any kind of meddling or anything. Raised eye brow moment but nothing more.
