  1. He defo set up 1 of the goals at Exeter and some people were raving about him then. To me he looked a bit crap but put in 1 good cross. Every time he had the ball at his feet he tried to run past players with absolutely no control over the ball. Made me think I have a chance as a professional football player as I have about the same amount of skill! The one time he did good was when someone played the ball through to the bi-line and he blitzed past the defender with speed that shows why I will never make it as a professional football player, and put a good cross in for lambert to score from. Think he might of actually had a shot in the first half that wasn't half bad too but looked clumsy most if the time. If he played give and go all the time I'm sure he would look class. But we already have players that are faster and also have more skill with the ball at their feet. So IMO we should leave well alone.
  2. Slightest hint of MUCHIO LOL'age at their expense and I notice an absentee in recent posts. Strange that.... All will probably work out to be somewhere in between a complete collapse and world domination but as the twists and turns keep coming it seems like we are on the biggest and best roller coaster of all time and the thrills keep on coming.
  3. For real or a bit of guess work?
  4. MUCHIO lol'age
  5. All sounds like good news. It would be nice to think that our academy players want to grow up and actually play for us. That's where Barca do so well, they have the set up and attract/produce top talent. But not many want to break through and leave for another club. Might take a while for us to ingrain that mentality into our youth. Of all of this I can't help but think that Rupert Lowe will be looking on with a smug "i told you so" look on his face as we try to build a club with a top class academy being at the route if it all. Lol
  6. It's a shame there is no reporting on this one as it seems like it's pretty in depth and the longer it goes on the more the blue few could have something to worry about. Wonder how much attention the Russians paid to the possibility of these legal proceedings having an effect on their season?
  7. Well if your pulling up a seat, make sure you stay put and not go in hiding again if it all starts to fall apart again. Appreciate it wasn't very nice before and I can understand the worry you can have when it looks like the doors are going to close on your club. But you should appreciate that coming on here cheering on your club for fleecing local business's, charities, and the general public is going to get a reaction from us that will happily gloat when things for you are not so good. I still want to see your club punished but I do want to see your club around in the future. Derby's with bompey and BHA are just not the same. Look at your situation wanting to see facts and you will find that there are not many to see. Ask some serious questions of your club and see what answers you get, I doubt there will be many but I bet you and many of your friends will still blindly follow along like you have done for the last 6 takeovers.
  8. How's Milan and Storrie's court case going today? Still chance of points penalty's or fines from that one. And many more questions than answers from your latest take over so I would say things are still moving along nicely.
  9. Brilliant! I hope that has some how found it's way as a comment on the original Facebook update?
  10. Right now I agree with you that is sucks to see them seemingly to have gotton away with so much. But I still think there will be some twists to come. I doubt more and more than any twists will be just rewards for what they have done in the past so many years but all the same I think there is still some millage. I am still tyrying to figure out how these Ruskies see Pompey as being a good investment? With other clubs around that need less work and effort for the same results with a bigger catchment area to grow the fan base and for less money. I cant see Chainrai letting the club go for a big loss so assuming its gone for around 15mil there is still 2 3rds of a team to buy and a nice chunk of land to purchase off Gaydamak. And if they see Pompey as a team that can return to the prem then funding a team to push for promotion is not going to be a cheap afair either. Something still seems dodgy about it all and there are plenty of questions yet to be answered. So while this thread might move away from being a pompey takeover thread I think it will live long and prosper as things down the road continue to unfold.
  11. If the verdict in this case is something that the FL would normally look at some kind of penaltys to the club would they have to wait until the 2nd trial? It might make sence to wait but if the 2nd trial doesnt relate to anything the FL would be interested in then the sooner the better I would of thought? Bit bloody complex this court/FL malerky aint it!
  12. Yeah I was thinking later that having a jury might have something to do with the media blackout. If it's likely to go on for a few days the jury need only to know what's gone on in court and make their decision based on that. Makes it sound much more serious though which if it goes in the direction we want may mean Pompey may still yet see a points penalty.
  13. Latest update on the Storrie/Milan case is that there is a total media blackout on it. So we won't here about it till it's over I guess?
  14. I almost joined in to explain how those working for the club, represent the club that they support and chear on while it cheats to gain advantage time and time again. I figured that if they dont get it by now they never will so not worth wasting my breath. At least this latest take over means they should have a team next season so we have the chance of beating them. Had they gone under we wouldnt have had the chance to right the previous results. 1 season with us hammering them followed by the latest revelations of cheating and lieing resulting in points penalty's and liquidation would suit me down to the ground.
  15. Latest update on that one: Details:Trial (Part Heard) - Prosecution Opening - 11:34 Anyone from on here anywhere near Southwark court? All this FIFA news makes this not so news worthy so no reporters there it seems.
  16. This! For all the reasons in the world that it could happen the 1 reason that means it won't happen is he can't keep quiet.
  17. I kind of get the idea that if he concentrated on footy he could be ok. Obviously had something to come through the arse and spuds but always seems to concentrate on blabbing his mouth off and maybe his face just won't fit anywhere. The last thing I read from him was about how he and his mates were the best players in some Moldovan? team but went getting paid or something. The way he put it might be correct and he may have been unfairly treated but how many times can his life fall to bits and it still be everyone else's fault? If he does come to us then I will back him as I trust those in charge will believe he has a future and can work out. I think he has more work ahead of him than he might realise if he has a chance if making it and I think he would soon fall out with Cortese if he thinks he can carry on acting like a reporter via his site. Can't see it happening though
  18. I messaged BBC_Matt earlier to ask if he or the Beeb was there for it and he didn't know it was on today. He said they have been to the last couple but was not aloud to report so it wasn't worth it. Not sure if he will look any further into it or not now though.
  19. I find it hard to believe that lowe didn't feel the team needed investment as he (the board) did back each of the managers that were put in place and we did sign (crap) players each year. The pot of money we had then was limited and was supplemented by selling off some of our better players. The pot of money we have now is very different and if it's true that there is bags of it then the investment behind the scene's could match the investment in players and aiming for top 5 prem is a fair enough target no matter who is in charge.
  20. To be fair though, Ajax a few years back made a name for themselves by being at the top of the game without spending a fortune on external players, Barcalona have a team full of players that they have brought through the ranks from kids. So it is possible to build a world class team without just going out and buying the best players that everyone else has found like Chelsea and man city. Not saying I believe that will be us but then I am not saying we will break the bank to bring in top talent either. It does sound like NC wants to get the basics right so we can attract the best young talent and turn them into decent 1st team players. If we step things up a level each year then why can't we be supplying our 1st team players from our own academy in 5 years?
  21. Thing is, as wrong as it sounds to include the likes of players who are due 100% no matter what, it is actually aloud so HMRC had to have a go on different grounds as Mann suggested the football creditors rules should be tackled separately. I think that screwed 90% of HMRC's argument and made their case look very week as the points being argued were not winnable by HMRC. Where things swing back in their favour however is the liquidation of the old company. That gave the chance if a proper investigation and they have managed to get an independent company to do it. If they find anything dodgy (and by dragging in specialists to go over initial findings it sounds like they have) they can then go after previous directors for money that should of been paid but by way of fines. If that happens they might wish the football creditors rule was scrapped a while ago as they could of paid HMRC the same as everyone else and they wouldn't of been chased down by the tax man. I think the club Pompey will somehow survive even if they have to do an AFC Wimbledon but I am still confident that most of the wrong doing will produce punishments and we will finally see justice served.
  22. Must of gone to Chelsea for Bob a Job week
  23. All sounds promising but a fair bit could also have some translation issues. He could have been asked about the speculation on AOC from other clubs and he could have been agreeing that bigger clubs would no doubt be interested. Journo takes that as we are looking for offers and AOC will be off! I think it would be more of a surprise if AOC is still with us at the end of the summer though. And I wouldnt be surprised if NC finds out about this report and has a fit on this new employee for spouting off more info than has previously been alloud.
  24. Something that has not been mentioned is the investigation into the accounts following the liquidation. Judging by the state of affairs down there for the past couple of years and the androids working of the books to work some percentages in your favour, it doesn't seem that unlikely that the investigation might turn up a few more gems. If so it could well be your previous directors could still earn your lot some points penalty. In your case it's a shame that all the crap thrown in the air when the club went bang didn't all fall at once as then you could happily know your club's main direction will be forward by now. Luckily for us the crap in the air seems like a never ending weather system that seems like it will be Un-loading at regular intervals on your shed down the road for some time to come. Justice may still yet be done my fishy friend!
  25. You another saint in torquizzle? Good feeling down this way specially as it wasn't certain for them till the end! Bet it's amazing feeling back home though! Watching the pitch invasion on SSN was brilliant. Seeing a close up of Chambo hoisted high by the fans with a huge smile on his face almost brought a tear to my eye. I hope that sticks with him as the summer of speculation approaches. We did it for Marcus!! UTS!!
