  1. I cant be bothered to find where it has been said before but I thought the SAAB deal was already done ages ago. SAAB didnt want to sell to them so they sold to someone else. The Ruskies then bought that company so became the owners of SAAB anyway or something along those lines. Then there was some 400 mil loan to help bail out SAAB or something which doesnt look like it has actually gone anywhere near SAAB yet. When sniffing round Bompey the Ruskies were dropped as it was thought they didnt have the funds. By the time they shack up to buy Pompey they are labled with having around 400 mil. Strange that init? Now the money may well be naff all to do with the loan and they may really have 400 mil to throw away which is why I started my comment with the word "IF". Because (doesnt matter where a loan like that is intended) borrowing 400 mil will come will a pretty hefty payment plan. Bare in mind even a full house every week down your ground will struggle to break even on current finances, its not a complety mental idea to think repayments on a 400 mil loan might be difficult too. So it may have nothing to do with it and you can chuck money about without a care in the world. But what IF? What if its another punt on the never never? Where will your club be left with another round of balifs at the door? Can you be sure that the money is there and finances will be fine now? Can you be sure the CVA will be getting paid? Can you be sure the court cases for previous directors wont come back to bite you on the arse? While the questions that are raised on here may well be wide of the mark you cant seriously discount them 100% in the knowledge that everything is rosey can you?
  2. From our point of view it's a nice addition as it puts your outgoings higher. When the rules kick in to get teams spending within their means it will make life harder for your lot. Honestly speaking though, its good that it has been settled before getting to court or wherever it was heading. I suppose it shows the russians are at least trying to tie up loose ends. If the creditors owed £2500 or less get paid up too it will look even better for you. So far it looks like money is being spent but unless you lot have an amazing season I can only see more and more money going out. I wonder how long a business plan the Russians have worked out before they start looking like they are breaking even? Let alone getting a return on their investment. I suppose our owners would of been looking to invest a similar amount into sfc to get us in the prem and showing a return on their investment but that investment has been ploughed into infrastructure and building for the future. Your russians have to spend like there is no tomorrow to get your squad able to compete and to get past debts out of sight. Infrastructure is an add on and will cost allot more. Still many questions that don't make sense about what's going on down there but on the face of it things seem to be looking up for you.
  3. Can someone just put one post with all the images of possible shirts on so we dont have to go back through them all?
  4. lol @ some of the comments. Some seem to get it and some dont. There are a few there that still seem to think TBH owes them and he is a money grabber. That may be the case for signing up to a lucrative contract that was offered but he cant be at fault for expecting his wages to be paid. nor can he be at fault for the club not allowing him to play. Still, it is no doubt a nice addition to the wage fund for the blue few. If CSI are using the 400 mil loan to fund this venture the fun will start again when its time to start paying that back. A good chunk of it will be going toward filling the squad up with quality over quantity (or high wages on players others dont want) and a bit more will at some point go towards paying the CVA (wonder if that is something they are considering or not??) All they will need then is to over fill their shed for both home and away games to make it look like they are living within their means and everything will be hunky dory.
  5. Thats the first one I have seen that takes the tick symbol thingy from the Markus Leibheir suite logo. I wouldnt be suprised if the logo has got anything to do with the new kit.
  6. After seeing the new Markus suite's logo I am wondering if it's design has any kind of hint on the new kit?
  7. Sounds good. Wonder if the logo has any reflection on the new kit? Free food but not a free bar. Seems like a good deal. Wonder who the speakers might be? Also it mentions the Mathew le tissier suite can take any excess. Was that a suite that was there already or have Matt and NC kissed and made up?
  8. I think I have only had a few looks at the super thread. Can't be bothered to trawl through it to find the odd rumour hidden in there. Separate threads for players makes more sense to me. Even if it's cobblers I will get to see it usually before it drops off the main page.
  9. Didn't we let him go cause he was always getting injured? I saw his last game for us I think. Pre season friendly against Exeter back when we had the invisible tin man on our books. Think his equedorian mate got a game that day too. Anyway, that game Monk did his knee in again and think it ruled him out for the season. Was let go the following summer. Was always rated but unlucky with his knee. If that's all behind him then great. That kind of experience along with Jadhi will only help seaborne and Martin. Although not sure 5 CB's will be happy competing for 2 spots so someone could move on.
  10. I'm not sure the barca way means we will be using similar formations because they do it so good. I think it's more of a reference to how much time and effort is put into the academy. Barca bring through so much talent because they have a large academy and top class coaching from youth upwards. If we can emulate that then we can create the Southampton way which will be an English version of the barca model. We will need to be challenging for tittle's and silverware if we have any chance of keeping hold of any top players we bring through which is another debate but the vision and funding is there for us to get our model off the ground. Will be exciting to watch it progress I think.
  11. Always need help but IT is not the most funded of departments in a Zoo so im a department of 1. Maybe one day.
  12. Haha in my dreams! That place looks awesome!
  13. Not in IT. I am a team of 1! Lol. IT is not at the forefront of Zoo conservation and education in Devon. ;-)
  14. Cheers. I love it.

  16. Any idea how long the investigations into previous accounts should take? I guess it's ages and ages but would there be a time frame on it? Could the results of that investigation have any baring on the current process or would the results be treated as a separate entity? If bad could it deem their current situation void or something or would new measures be taken to deal with the results? I am guessing it's all a separate issue but thinking it could make this thread pretty interesting as losing £130 mil while claiming to be trading solvently just doesn't seem to match up so would be amazed if there are not a few gems to be plucked from the reports.
  17. So your saying your club have started making payments on the CVA???? ....... Or did your club not bother, release the kids and spend out on Kitson and Lawrence? So in reality your club didn't start servicing the CVA at the initial time that was agreed with the creditors but in fact used a clause that the same creditors agreed to so that you could defer the servicing of the CVA? So the first actual payment is not due yet. Fair enough, you don't need to start paying and that's where your argument is. But it's pointless saying you are servicing the CVA when the only thing you have done towards the CVA is fail to raise funds through player sales and defer the initial payment. If your club had tried to save some cash by getting rid if high earners, using the reserves and youth and still didn't have enough funds to make the initial payment which there for triggered the clause to defer the 1st payment. You would find many more on here with an understanding of what you are going through. But to come on here and defend the blatant flicking of V's it's hardly surprising that you get so much laughter.
  18. Google search boxing guru for a good feed bud so I've heard.
  19. To be fair I don't drink beer either. Had a camel back full of Guinness, vodka, jäger and redbull. And only went back to the van for a refill. The glade bar usually was the easiest to get too the brothers bar was always rammed. Bloody tough meeting up with anyone though. I didn't realise just how big it would be or how many people would be there!
  20. He could of course be waiting for west ham or another club to offer something so he can at least speak to them and see what they are offering if it's more than us he may have something to come back to us with for negotiating to get a better deal. They may offer less which makes his decision a little more simple. Nothing wrong with making sure he gets the best deal possible. As long as him and his representatives act properly then I can't see anyone having a problem with it. Gobern having a deal sorted out 2 weeks ago when the club knew nothing about it is a bit off and that kind of behind the back treatment is what will make our club drop interest in someone.
  21. I was at Glasto too! If I had known I would have arranged to meet up for a beer in the mud! Cracking weekend too.
  22. That said, how many times have we seen reports that talks are going on or a deal is in place? Until we hear from the club it could all be gash.
  23. I just can't see NC agreeing to terms that are not fantastic for us. If they agree on 12 mil then NC will want as much of it up front now or they can jog on. I don't even think NC wants any instalments at all although he may end up having to concede it's the way things happen in footy. Being a banker however, he may offer a better deal for a one off fee or a higher price based on instalments. Bit like interest payments on a loan? Can't honestly see him still being here come the start of the season but would not be surprised if I am wrong.
  24. Infraction for going off topic?
  25. I like how the 2 women on the right (as we look at it) shoulder actually look like one woman ready and waiting. Would be a typicle skate bird if she was 20 stone and had a beard to match her Father, Mother and Brother.
