Brilliant! I qualify as a nutjob!
-
I read it the same as you the first time to be honest. But the Dell was an old school ground so there is some comparrison there, same with norwich. We have invested in infrastructure and youth and as such landed on our feet. they spunked everything on players and plaudits and the bubble has burst. I think he is being more down about the situation rather than bigging themselves up to being in the same league as us and norwich. Those extra fingers should of been able to explain it a little better i guess?
-
Think he is comparing them to teams who have invested, as in they have not invested but other have and now look at the difference. Makes a good point really.

Maybe the previous wording implied that the FL were in agreement that there would be no further penalties and if they had applied some anyway the new owners could of challenged them? Changing the wording to leave the door open covers that eventuallity. TB's admission that the FL could take them on several fronts is a bit telling though. We have just been looking at the failed CVA1 but there are a few angles the FL could screw them or as more likley the case with all things pompey, act like nothing is wrong and give them a cash boost to make them competitive.......
-
The joke of CVA1 is that footballing creditors got 100% before and if there is still anything owed they will still get 100% now. The non footballing creditors went with the 20p less expenses and are now being forced into 2p in the £ of that!!! How the FC rule can be upheld in court is laughable as it is being used to absolutley shaft normal people while some rich players and clubs can cash in. I still dont think its over though, as even if they can continue they will either live within their means and suffer a relegation or 2, or spend big again and end up in exactly the same position in a year or 2 from now. The Saga will continue.
-
Ah your right, But that doesnt make sense in what HMRC have previously done. They only voted for 20p last time because Old co was getting Liquidated and an investigation could take place. Why voite in favour of 2p now?As usual, something doesnt smell right with them lot down the road. EDIT: Your right again, the only thing we have heard regarding the vote was #pompey CVA PROPOSAL CARRIED. No mention of how many voted for or against. In fact, didnt the last time they went through this take a little longer while they worked out the percentages of all the votes? Wonder if this was just a show of hands that got the vote through?
-
We still dont know what HMRC did in this vote? I am guessing they voted against it no matter what but there has been no mention about them at all. I would of expected the press to at least try and get a quote from them based on all the other Admins that they have voted against. But so far nothing??? Not even sure if they were there?
-
Think its safe to assume Ryan Dickson wont get a look in, Id guess Forte wont either. Isnt Fonte Non homegrown too? And possibley Morgan?
-
Didnt he just admit that Pompey dont have the funds to pay their bills? As in Pompey owe £425,000 but they dont have the funds to pay it? Isnt that trading whilst insolvent???????
-
True but since then he seems to have fallen into the same trap as everyone else down that way. There is no way HMRC are going to agree to that CVA but to block it there needs to be a few others voting against I would guess. Creditors from the previous CVA must get some kind of vote and HMRC have a nice chunk of that one too which could swing that collective vote to a no? I guess HMRC wanting the Perch in was mainly to make sure that percentages were fair and he wouldnt be ramping up debt levels to allow for his master to get his way. The fact that the only CVA being put forward is a massive kick in the nuts to everyone but Chainrai isnt the Perch's fault and at least this CVA has some kind of deadlines in there it seems. AA's effort was all gloss and BS with small print meaning the CVA was actually on the never never too. HMRC getting the Perch in should of effectivly ruled out the same kind of stunt being pulled.
-
He obviously doesnt know HMRC very well does he?
-
Just for sake of argument, Ask that question about the other 2 and you will have the same answer. The problem wasn't 1 man but the other 2 never agreeing with whoever the 1 man was. Anyway, we have been saved. The fishy few have not. Lowe is gone and Al Fahim is back. Much more LOL'age to be had.
-
Thats how I see it too. Glad he has gone as he was a pompous tw!at but in a small way I am glad he ran us the way he did as it left the door open for a serious investor to take over when it all went to the dogs. I would of rather had someone come in and buy the lot the year after our FA cup run but between Lowe, Wilde, Crouch and various other fractions it was never going to happen as someone would always block it for the others. Best solution all round was administration that booted them all out. Problem gone and future secured. Thats the only change in my view. At the time I didn't want admin as our fishy friends are proving, it's not a garaunteed fix. Anyway, this thread is to laugh.... Sorry, discuss our fish few down the road and how swimmingly their take-over is going.

the still don't get the situation that they were in at the time. They went for the cash up front option to try and bail them out of the poop! How can they now kick off because some kind of lucrative deal wasn't structured?? i still don't think they with "get it" when/if the club finally goes pop. Maybe when all the forensic accounting has taken place and fingers are pointed there maybe a few that start to understand?
-
I can't believe he has pulled the 100% payment to charities and local businesses owed less that £2500 again. Has the last lot been paid yet? I also like the way Chainrai wants just about everyone to wave big portions of their debt so he can run the club long enough to get all of his money back. I bet the gullible fools fall for it once more.
-
Ah I see. I was expecting an update from birch online or somit. Makes sense to officially notify the creditors first though. So maybe tomorrow we will start to find out about the next shafting.
-
So when is this proposed CVA coming out then? I thought it was due today???
-
Does anyone know how much of a vote the previous CVA creditors would get? Of anyone I would guess they would be the ones most likly to be voting against? HMRC will surley not be voting for any CVA after being shafted so often?
-
Didnt a rival admin firm send out a rival CVA proposal for Pompey's last admin? I doubt it confirms anything but it with give Portpin and idea of wether or not the CVA will get voted in or not. I just dont see how anyone can trust the proposed CVA from the same company who pretty much shafted the creditors on the last one.
-
With the FL all prescious about their football creditors rule and protecting the integrity of the game, it would be hilarious if that same rule forced Popmey to shut up shop as they were unable to get rid of the burden of expensive contracts. Protecting the integrity of the game has given clubs licence to live beyond thier means and those same rules have become some serious nails in the coffin. I still have a feeling that Chainrai will somehow come out of this with the club and they will start the season but only becuase we have been there so many times before thinking its the final chapter and they get let off the hook at the last minute. Quite happy for the pain to continue though, I cant see them being in a position to make a profit for a long time to come so life support will continue and league position will keep dropping. Shame.
-
I thought that was a possible scenario at the time but since then they may have dropped lower which would rule that option out I guess?
-
So this meeting going on yesterday and today, is that the one where they decide on Pompey being able to have their golden share for next season or just a get together of all FL clubs to talk about pretty much anything?
-
Unfortunately I doubt the people in that meeting who need to know player/or players? Are not getting paid probably will have no idea.
-
I wonder if it is possible for the other creditors to change their claim to be that of football creditors? Electric company provided electric to allow football matches to take place so why are they not football creditors? Every creditors apart from Charity's can claim their debt is so the football club can play football so must be a football debt and fall under the 100% rule. Charity's dont matter to Pompey so screw them. Bit of bad press maybe but plucky Pompey can dilute that with the rest of the bad press they have had and will no doubt have another bit of bad press along shortly to sweep away all that has happened before. I wonder if there is a legal challenge that could really screw the FCR up. HMRC are owed Tax, most of that Tax will be owed due to payments made within the 100% rule so why are they not entitled to that Tax being within the FCR? Just a thought...

I love this thread. Keeps me amused on a daily basis. Long may it continue.
