  1. I am guessing we get something out of the deal as that is normal practice even though its not publicised. On top of that there could be an option to buy come Jan or an agreement to buy in Jan which may bring us a few extra bucks in. Either way the option to reduce our outgoings as much as possible and at any cost may be an instruction by the bank so if we get an offer we may just have to accept it. The fact that Lowe is in charge at the time just gives us lot something else to hate him for. Who knows if the same would be happening under Crouch or anyone else? As for the OP's comments, you mentioned many things as if they were fact and it seems many of the things are what Crouch was either suggesting or have said. yet you try to make it sound as though he was a small part in your comments. Crouch also told us that it was Paul Allen that was taking us over and that we didnt need to sell Jones. He also said that we hadnt cashed in on the Theo deal. My point is that Crouch said allot of things and not all of it was true. Any chairman saying we are not skint is usually saying it to keep the vultures away and all our main shareholders have said similar at various times so I wont use that as a stick to beat them with. But to cherry pick the comments that were utter arse from any of them is just as ridiculas as thinking we are on the verge of being taken over. We are not an attractive proposition while we are in free fall. We have no main shareholders that have our confidence to get us out of this mess. We dont have any funds to change the situation. Options we do have is to hope that this team can do enough to make us safe. Hope our current main shareholders can do enough to hold the banks off long enough for the team to show signs of improvment. Or go into administration and watch the club get completly stripped to the point where we could be bought by the local butcher. I do point out though that if we get that far down the pan it is very very likely that one of more of the current bunch of imbasills will also be the ones that buy us off the administrators putting us into the same position as we are now.
  2. I said this above all be it in about 5000 words but the OP comments seem to be directed at a hug ammount of people when in reality it was the odd nutty 1 or 2 that made such bald statements.
  3. even then there is some cut off date where you can take the points. If the FA think your basically doing it to take the hit this season and not next they will find a way of deducting points the following season too. Everything that can be done to avoid Administration must be done or the FA will punish us further for taking Administration as some kind of easy way out. Still wouldnt lose the dross from our club and would only lose the (ehem) cream from our club.
  4. To be fair I agree with some of this. The players before pearson were a disgrase and Pearson got allot more out of them even if the results dont look that great for a team that was in the playoffs the year before. I now think that our players are not good enough to play the system being asked of them. They are good enough to bring the ball out of defence and move it round the middle of the park but there are not enough options up front without making us very week at the back. Its ok everyone rushing forward for support but the defence need to be excilent to cover the traffic coming the other way. And they are not unfortunatly. I wonder how much success we would get if we reverted to 4-4-2? we could still play pretty football but the support up front would be much better for us IMO.
  5. I take it you are having a go at Scooby here? cause other than 1 or 2 people I dont know anyone that is actually glad to have Lowe back or even assoiciated with our club at all. The 2 situations are completly different. We were games away from relegation when Pearson came in when we knew we were in a scrap long before, Burly was left in charge long after it was obvious he wasnt going to get us anywhere this season so Pearson came in when the feeling was already bad for crouch and co. Crouch was cashing in all over the place and loading up the wage bill to a point that without promotion we wouldnt be able to sustain. OK it paid off and we stayed in the CCC but had he stayed we would still have had to dramatically reduce the playing staff and wages. Would he have done it? Would Pearson have stuck around while his squad was shipped off? Even if Lowe had kept him, and we dont know what conversations went on with him before letting him go, would pearson be happy with the squad he would have now? would he get better results? So many questions that cant be answered because the guy has gone! get over it! If you thought this season was about anything other than survival then your a mug! Personally I was hoping the kids would have done a little better than they have and I was also hoping JP had the ability to get the team defending better. By the looks of things neither are true but is that because we dont have the quality in the team or because JP doesnt have a clue? The guy was a world class defender so im guessing it is the quality we lack. How do you suggest we fix it? Olly has proved he can do a job but got suspended trying to make sure we didnt lose. Nicky Butt did the same thing today earning a Yellow. Svennson can be world class but its touch and go on seeing him play enough games let alone seeing him get his form back. Cork is no centre back as is Wooton. So when our limited but main 2 defenders are missing we are buggered. Get a loan in? free transfers? moving John on has proved if nothing else we are at the limit on wages so anyone coming in would be on pittence which is what i guess Morgan, Gasmi, Holmes, Forecast and Pulis is on. There will be bonus's tied in to league position come the end of the season rather than appearence or win bonus's IMO. So given out situation now compared to last season how can anyone but the nutty few be hypocrits? I would have been happy to see NP stay but just because he would be here we wouldnt be see our high earners playing week in week out so results would be just as mixed IMO.
  6. Not saying they havnt spent money but considering they are richer than chelsea they havent spent allot at all. they are more in a position now where they dont have to worry about money. the saints qpr game the tatters were talking about how dowie hasnt had much money to spend yet they are one of the richest clubs in the world
  7. thats the catch 22 that we are in though. and its probably the completly wrong time to have a board that is widly hated. Anyone else in charge other than the main culprits and there may be more support at what is trying to be done. The only thing IMO that will make our situation a litle easier is for the team to turn a corner and start bagging decent results. This will bring a few more fans back and we may actually look like getting out of the mess. If they are not up to it though (and it hasnt looked like they are as yet) then each decission and each result will just make the situation worse and we will slowly head towards administration which will pretty much kill our club.
  8. id say all our players are for sale at sensible offers. free transfers will be the very very end of the line. but admins would be happy to take the highest offer no matter how silly. i hate being in this situation but considering how many times stern has played this season and how well he has done in this system it really isnt that much of a loss and could like someone else has said be the opening for skacel to play more. if finances are that tight then our defence is what needs the experince right now. I feel confident that Lallan, McGoldrick, Holmes, Morgan and even BWP will bag a few goals each. None of them will be prolific but in order to win when not scoring many we need to make sure we are not letting them in at the other end. Maybe Skacel at LB will be more regular and Killer will get some of his form back? lots of ifs but you can see my point.
  9. How many of Leeds players were recognised after they went down the pan? Believe me the admins will sell off anyone that is worth anything. 1 problem we have as a club is that we have shown that we are prepared to use the kids if we have too. the admins wilds use that to there advantage and sell of anyone they can leaving us with the proper kids.
  10. Lowes price is not going to be the price that tha admins will look for. On top of that players have had the chance to go elsewhere but some have stuck here due to the wages. If we go into administration doesnt the players association get involved to make sure players are happy with the cancelation of contracts and options given to them? Something that wont happen unless the admins move in so in some ways we should think our selves lucky if we manage to get expensive players off the wage bill.
  11. If you think Lowe is stripping us of the same ammount of players that the administrator would then you need to think again. KD, Perry, Killer, Olly, Mills, Surman, Gillet, Morgan, Lallana, BWP, McGoldrick, skacel, forcast, euell, and most of the players currently playing in the reserve team would be gone. and most of them for nothing like the ammount they should be worth. If we are playing with kids at the mo, and our reserve team is our under 18's team. what kind of team would we be left with?
  12. That would always be a worry but not sure if it could or would happen with us. the damage that administration would do though would be pretty bad so I for 1 would rather try and avoid it. I am hoping that Lowe and co do well enough for us to be an attractive opertunity to some rich nut that buys the lot out.
  13. Why not keep hold of all the high earners and spend a few more quid while we are at it. the banks dont mind us going further into our over draft so why not eh? when the banks get fed up with us for not doing anything about the rapidly decreasing finances they will empleoy a nice little chap with a dodgy voice to come in and strip us of any player worth anything and leave us with a team that would struggle in league 1. add to that the FA not being best pleased with the banks decission so in turn stick a nice points penalty on us to make sure that we struggle to stay in league 1. Great planning there bud. Im not happy that we have to lose so many players and cant afford to get in more quality but ffs i know there is bugger all we can do about it in the mean time.
  14. Trouble is, some people are so anti lowe and co that they think Administration is the answer to be able to get rid of them. Anything that is done to try and avoid Administration puts there nose out of joint becuase Lowe and Co will have to stick around longer.
  15. Got any other suggestions?
  16. TBF we will do well to avoid league 1 this season anyway. This does make a ittle harder but if it free's up some cash to keep the administrators away then the future is still just about in our hands.
  17. Club will loan out anyone if it will take the wage bill down a little bit. With some of the big earners not getting sold over the sumer our only option is to lower the wages. Shame but needed.
  18. TBF QPR may be the richest but they have speant bugger all compared to other so called rich clubs. Dowie was still asked to do the job on a shoe string budget and I thought he was doing OK. Could do with ome of his pressence in our team sometimes.
  19. Dont think John made the difference that was required but cant really say McGoldrick would have done any better. Skacel at LB prob was a bigger factor. The plan was for Surman, Mills and Skacel to rotate but Skacel did the most of the work in that position so have to say he made a difference. General defending from all was better though and set peice work was obvious.
  20. I think we are all set up to take the 1st serious takeover that comes along anyway. Trouble is, there isnt one!!! Hounding Lowe, Wilde, Crouch, Aunt bessy or anyone else wont do much good IMO. JP was in charge last night and we got a draw. He was also in charge when we beat Brum in the cup. Sure he has got a few things wrong but he must have also got a few things right too. When the team dont do as good as they should I am all for giving a bit of critasism but when they do better they need encouragment. They know when we are happy and when we are not. These are the things that we should be concerned with and it would be nice to have men at the top that give us nothing else to be concerned with. But we have what we have and without a nice chunk of money we wont have much different.
  21. I think the ame plan is to try and run riot in the 1st half and bag a couple of goals. 2nd half is all about coping with there attacks and try to catch them on the break. If we were 1 or 2 goals up then there would be far more opertunites to break forward with more space to work in so its not a bad plan. Problem is when we go a goal down or dont get in front we struggle. The opo's will sit back to protect there lead or not risk losing the point from a draw. We find it hard to break teams down when they have men behind the ball so JP needs to find that plan b to cope with a situation that will happen in just about every game.
  22. I heard the tatters say he was already on a yellow then the next thing they said was "its a Red" Dont think he had much choice though from the sounds of it. he would have got slated if he did nothing and they scored.
  23. a point is better than none and I would rather see us grind out a few 0-0's before we start to hit teams on the break and look for the fast flowing football stuff. Its a bit wierd feeling glad to have Kelvin on the team sheet though.
  24. bugger at least it wasnt a pen this time
  25. pleased we havnt conceded but sounds like a very boring game listening to the bbc. sounded like it was a cracker in the 1st few mins when Su were on top and the tatters were happy but since we came back into the game they have made it sound like sod all has happened.
