I ask what are they waiting for then? If they carry on sitting back and doing nothing then they are hurting the club as much as Lowe and Co are. by the time they step up to be the white knight there will be hardly any club left to suppobrt and a fan base so fed up with it all they will do like you and give up supporting our club.

Im going for ----------------------- Davis ---------------------- Cork ------- Lancashire -------- Pearce -------- Skacel ---------- Schneiderlin ------ Surman ----------------- Lallana ---------------- Euell ------------------ Gobern ------------------- McGoldrick----------------------

Now that is talking sence. I have said before that the stay away fans are few and far between and are not getting the support they need to amke a difference which in turn just makes week in week out more and more depressing without anything being done by it. I have no problem with showing the board that I am not happy and want improvments. if that means they all walk out and give someone else a go or work for free then so be it. If we are going to get something done then we all need to send a clear message to those that count. If a boycot is going to be used then it needs to be more organised and a simple boycot of the last home game of every month would IMO have more effect. Lets say we can get above 15000 on a regular basis due to all those that could turn up actually bothering, then the last home game of the month gates went down to 13 or 14000. some might notice it and think a bit more. following month other fans have cottoned onto the idea and we hit 15000+ for the non boycot games and down to 12000 for the last home game of that month. it would not take very long at all for the gates to get below 10000 for that 1 game each month yet above 15000 for the others. the team would know who we are supporting and the board and bank would know who we are not supporting. if your trying to twist someones arm into making something happen at least try to show the power you all posess

thought as much. your about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. cant come up with a valid argument to suit your cause and you brand me a luvie just because i wont go on a witch hunt with you and your merry men. show me a viable alternative to lowe and the muppets we have in our club and i might start to agree with your ideas. but as things stand your as laughable as scooby.

If they are that willing to step in surly they would want to step in before we sell off the few good players we still have and before we go into administration? IMO anyone who wants to take us on has plenty of reservations and in the current climate wont touch us with a barge pole. They have also seen how the fans can behave should things not go the intended route and they can probably see there investment would be worthless even in a stable financial market should things go bad. Also the longer they leave it the less support they will have for me as if they are in a position to make a difference and let the club go down the tube then they are damaging it as much as Lowe is.

you keep digging yourself that lowe hate filled hole dont you. lol Did the OS tell me we are going into a resession? Did the OS tell me that people dont like to go and watch there team get beaten week in week out? Did the OS tell me that fans would rather watch there team in the Prem than the CCC? I get my evidence and information from all over the place and I get the 1 sided match report and possible team news from the OS. Facts are we have no money and the bank want more than we have. Our income is not enough to service what the bank want so sales will need to be made to cover that. Reductions have been made in an attempt to bring out outgoings below our incomings. Vicious circle in that as we reduce the product the customers that wish to pay for it also reduce. Lowe could step down or get the Boot today but our problems would remain. Now unless you know the odd arab that wants to throw 30 million quid away I dont see how this situation can drasticly change. i would be glad to hear how you think that could change though. Or can you not see past your hate for 1 man t come up with a better solution?
-
lol good point. spelling is not my strong point but its no biggy.

My dad always said that if you have nothing inteligent to say then say nothing. did your dad say the same to you?
-
I can see what your saying and people should stand by what they believe in. But they think its right to do that how can they think its wrong for Lowe to do the same?
-
And you call me simple minded? Not everyone who doesnt go anymore are staying away because they are unloyal. Many just simply cant afford to go. Should Lowe have known everyones personal finacial status? The board decided with the bank what the operating costs were and what they need to be, they also decided how many supporters they need through the door to sustain that operating cost. they also decided if that is not achieved they will need to sell players to service the banks need to recover its money. How has lowe gambled on cheap youngsters? The CLUB cannot afford to do any better while the income is not servicing the operating costs. I dont get why that is so difficult to understand. had we been filling the staduim every week then I would put money on us still having some of our high earners out on the pitch week in week out and maybe a better blend of youth and experience.

But while he still had the job I still wanted him to succeed. when he didnt it was right to make the change and the FA made that change. Club managment is a little more tricky as the time frames to choose someone and the ability to gather a decent squad are not the same as a national team but there are still similaritys. If England had won against croatia and made it into the Euros would we have supported England in every game and hope they got things right or hoped they lost so Mcclaren would get the boot?
-
So you saying that he made the wrong cut backs? maybe he should have sold the players 1st and kept the corners open? maybe he should have just ignored the banks and went further into debt? I can see how his thought process was so wrong and how the rest of the board had no part making these decissions.
-
I wasnt. I wanted Steve McClaren to do well. I didnt think he was either good enough or the right choice but I never wanted him to fail.I support England and want them to succeed. I would prefer the managment to be english when doing so but will support them all the same.

exactly which is why i said we shouldnt bury our heads in the sand. its not like years ago where the board were invisible and just results matter. today clubs are more transparent so we see more from top to bottom and we need to be happy about the whole package. I dont think we should be involved as much as we are but i do think we should be involved. I can understand Long Shots frustration but coming on here a day before we play 1 of the best form teams in the league hoping they beat us to get some kind of reaction seems a bit silly to me. If we get points out of this game I will be amazed and have a smile on my face from ear to ear until we next get beaten. In much the same way as I used to when we beat Man U. Back then I knew we were crap, i knew we were in a relegation fight before the season kicked off and I knew that we would pull out some surprises along the way. we are in the same situation now but on a lower scale and with less money. To me its a time when Saints fans should be at there strongest. but we have fans turning against the club they claim to support. sad really isnt it.
-
To be fair there is no point in burying our heads in the sand and what goes on behind the scene does concern us a little but it shouldnt as much as it does. years ago most fans wouldnt have had a clue who the chairman was at there own club yet now we can name the chairmen of most clubs in the Prem.
-
The stay away fans are as bad as Lowe IMO. neither will admit they share some the blame of what is happening at our club. When its dead you both will point fingers and say I told you so. Congrats bud. I hope you will be pleased with your self. And for the record I dont think losing on saturday will make the blindest bit of difference as we are playing a team that is top of the league and doing very well so there probably isnt many at the club that realisticly expect us to get points out of it. The plan will be set to get more points than 3 other teams and it will also be set on who we need to beat to get enough points. Achieve that and the people in charge will have succeeded for this season. anything more will be a bonus and talked up on the OS. anything less will be failure and administration.
-
Ive said before that the only thing that can realisticly change things is the results on the pitch. If the current team can find a way to win and also defend then they may do enough to bring the gates up and reduce the need to sell. I honestly think that there isnt enough time to make that much of a difference and with every player out of the door our chances to improve results and therfor gates reduces further.

We are where we are because we support the club??? Are you for real???? I agree we are tetering on the edge and for a long time we have needed to make a decission and go for it with all the majour players pulling in the same direction. To be fair the only way the current lot (and I mean all of them) are going to succeed will be if they all do things as 1 unit with the same message and the same belief that they want the same things. IMO its the constant divide between sharholders and between fans that is causing us more problems than the results. I dont believe for a second Lowe doesnt care if we go into administration and if he does point some of the blame to the fans then he will be bloody right. There is something we as fans can do to help the club and that is turn up. For many reasons not enough are turning up so there for some of the blame should go to the fans. Some can do so mething about it and some cant so its not a blame game trying to make people feel guilty. its just the facts. A big portion of the blame needs to go to the main shareholders and I would be amazed if Lowe would publicly admit that but we all know it to be true. But then saying that, Wilde and Lowe cant stand each other and Wilde gave Lowe the boot in the 1st place cause he couldnt work with him. So those 2 have at least tried to put there personal opinions aside in an attempt to work together to save the club from going into administration. so thats another flaw to your idea of lowe doesnt care about us going into admin. Right now it doesnt feel like there is any improvment anywhere in our club as we keep hearing or seeing 1 bad story after another. If this continues then we will go down the pan and have to try to build from even lower than we are now and probably with the same people in charge. with the same people refusing to help and blaming everyone else but themselves. If we can show some improvment and keep us out of admin and build even very slowly then I will continue to support our great club however i can and no matter who is in charge. Same as I will support anyone that has the balls to take us over an inject some life into us. -

I think as saints fans we all want what is best for the club but some have so much hate for Lowe they see anything he does as some kind of plot to p1ss us lot off. We moan that the kids dont get a chance and yet when we find out Lowe was moaning about the same thing all hell breaks loose because he is interfearing. We want him to bugger off but he owns part of the club so unless someone offers him some money for his shares he aint going anywhere. We used to moan cause he says too much and now people are moaning that he hasnt said anything. There are so many arguments for and against him yet its the few deluded people that manage to stir up more of a frenzy and create more problems. This club will be better without him IMO but only if we get to the point where someone actually offers to buy him and the others out. get rid of him via administration and I can see him walking straight back in through the door along with wilde and some other idea of how to do things. -
Agree with you on the spuds site but not too sure of Poopys. personal taste n all that i suppose.
-
like a few others have said its much better than the premium sites most clubs seem to have but personally i still think it could be better. thought the same after the last revamp but got used to it so no doubt i will get used to this one. i am no web designer but im fairly confident i could design a site that looks like the OS without trying to think too hard. yet I know a couple of people that know what they are doing with websites and within minutes they can create the basics which blow the OS out of the water. As long as they keep putting up team news every now and then im not really too bothered though.
-
If they were doing this a few years back just after we got to the final of the FA cup then I would call it a ridiculous experiment as back then all seemed to be getting better so why change it? but right now without a pot to p1ss in we have to do something. we have invested heavily in our youth system and some of the kids are bloody good. we dont have the luxury of being able to afford enough experience to blend that youth in so we are forced to go for it full tilt. Its not something I would have liked to have seen at our club but I cant see what else can be done to avoid it. If lowe and wilde walk away now and leave it up to crouch he still has to find the money to fend off the bank and i suppose if he is to change direction he will also need to find the money to buy the experience we so desperatly need. I think people are that blinded by there hate of the guy at the top that they cant see the situation is no different with him there or not. I still think that the kids are or at least can be good enough to give us something to be happy about this season but I think this will only be the case when the right players are selected. we dont have the luxury of good enough players to cover certain key positions. Our best 11 is good enough to get enough results. change any of those 11 and we can look awful. I think thats why the fan base is so up and down based on results so far. 1 min we feel like we have turned a corner and will go on to spank a few results and the next we dont deserve to be in league 1. My fear now is that the team dont have enough time now to get the results to improve the gates. so even with our best 11 playing from now till jan and winning the gates wont improve enough to save us from selling 1 or 2 of the key players. this will leave us with the team that can look awful and it will seel our fate IMO.
-
Difference is that Leeds managed to keep a fairly large fan base through there doors on a regular bases. If our gate reciepts were higher there would not be so much need to sell to keep the bank happy. Catch 22 cause if we dont start winning matches and fast then the fans wont be back to help pay the bank off. players will get sold to pay the bank and the team will do worse so less fans will turn up. Someone has to break this circle at some point and if its not us or the players it will be administration and a couple of league drops before we even remotly start looking like we are moving forward.
-
I think Lowe will accept any sensible offers based on if he doesnt he may lose the support of the bank. that said, we dont know what the bank have agreed too as the terms of there support. it may be agreed that some players are not for sale while there are others that are a must to lose. john and Skacel IMO were on the must be gone list and some of the emerging kids were on the try to keep list. Surman is probably somewhere in between as he is home grown and probably not a high earner. If we can get rid of the high earners and get some cash in for them then surman has a better chance of staying. As things stand all we have done is reduce some wages with no transfer fees so there is still a big hole in the finances that need filling for this year.
