  1. I wasnt there so can only go on what has been said on here and by the looks of it his contract wasnt renewed or the option to break it was taken. but either way those options were there as part of his contract. not quite being told to clear your desk is it? but what ever suits your agenda goes I suppose. Hey its an internet forum so go for your life.
  2. Course he did.
  3. I thought that happens in the 11th min?
  4. Do you have a part time job as a clown or do you enjoy making yourself look like a pillock? your comments, even with your little get out of jail card were not too clever and you resort to calling names to justify them i agree on allot of things you say but on this your making yourself look a fool.
  5. would be perfect. but even better on a tv match and even better still if we were winning at the time.
  6. people staying away completly are hurting the club financially IMO although I wouldnt label them as anything. An organised boycot that i suggested (if it was ever possible) would see the stadium as full as possible no matter who the oposition is for the most part and 1 game per month nearly empty. Finacially the club would not be hurt and would have more chance of being able to compete or keep 1 or 2 of the higher earners and therefore give us a better chance of seeing us pick up 1 or 2 points along the way. But the message would be there to everyone that we are not happy with things as they are and if changes do not happen the financial backing the club would lose would be too great to ignore. I doubt that the fans would ever need to stretch the boycott to anything more than 1 game per month before serious changes are made.
  7. think you are right on lowes postition and right about wilde wobbling which will end in yet another change. think your wrong in the fact that lowe will be gone once an for all though. he will hang around like a bad smell for a long time to come unfortunatly. but how much worse than the others is he now? I just wish they were all gone.
  8. the boycot will only work if it is more organised. Ideal game to boycot would have been against man u. its the one game the club expect to sell out and with it being on TV a stadium with only Man U supporters would have sent out a pretty good message. Lowe has said that this one game although helps finacially doesnt do enough to solve our problems so if an organised boycot of that game was organised then it wouldnt have hurt that much financially but still sent a powerful message. other than that the club needs to see what its missing for a boycott to be effective. protests outside involving more people than the ones that actually go inside. or fill the stadium most games but choose a regular home game to boycott on mass. something simple that everyone can get involved in. boycot the last home game of every month. get 25000 people in for the other games and if the above was to happen it could easily get down to under 10k for the last home game in a month within just 2 months. the bank would see hoy meany people are not happy with the status quo and would have to act IMO. The current boycot can not be messured and therefor is ignored
  9. Someone mentioned the posability of him going to ease the wage bill earlier and I was thinking. Just him leaving and as someone already said, it wont make much of a difference because Lowe signed him and he is probably on peanuts compared to the high earners. But if he is going along with Pekhart, Robertson, Smith and possibly 1 or 2 others and half as many come back or come in on loan then collectivly the wage bill would have been eased. not sure how much it would hlp but it seems we are at the stage of trying to save every penny so it might make a difference. ???
  10. Will he really be that much of a miss? He has been slow, inacurate with his passing and we have seen no sign of his free kick specialitys. I still think we could do with a decent older head infront of the back 4, just dont think wooton is him.
  11. If your going to call someone names make sure you know they understand what your calling them otherwise its not an insult If you think I would want a job with Rupes you have clearly got your wires crossed. I just dont think acting like lowe is the best way to object to him.
  12. Im not trying to start an argument with you but IMO you could be as ITK as saintdavid and tommac just as much as you could be 100% correct. I have no idea and as this place has been proved in the past to be full of wannabee ITK's forgive me for not taking your info as the truth and nothing but the truth. My points were not based on fact and I was just putting forward a different view. I have said many times I think Pearson should have been given a chance and think he may have done better with the current squad and problems. you may be right and i may have been given the elbow but when companys have let me go as a contractor I know that it has been because they are tightening there belts and expensive contractors are the 1st out of the door to be replaced with cheaper alternatives. jobs still need to be done and the companys will decide how much they want or need to pay for them to get done. I still dont think I got sacked from a contract.
  13. feck me!!! someone talking sence!!!! Can we vote to put you in as the Chairman when we get rid of the rest of them?
  14. So if you get made reduntant do you go round saying you got sacked? If your a contractor and your contract finishes are you sacked then? I worked as a contractor for a few years and a few times the company decided they wernt going to renew the contract and there was always clauses that meant they could end the contract at various times as if it had run out completly. Not once did I say I had been sacked. But if people keep saying pearson was sacked it will become widly accepted that he was sacked and the amazing lowe bashing will continue for stuff that is simply not true. it doesnt do the argument for having a go at lowe any good at all IMO. Isnt spin to take a fact and twist it a little to suit an adgenda? This is something Lowe does all the time and something we rightly have go about. yet it seems its ok to say pearson got sacked, WGS and lowe hated each other, Sturrock was sacked and it also seems ok to talk about Lowe and Mugabe in the same paragraph. pedo = kiddy fiddler
  15. Blimey and you lot think Rupes is the Spin Master!!!! You might think its ok to drop in the Mugabe bits and try to make it sound like your not refering to him or what ever your point was, and i am sure Rodney Marsh thought it was Ok to make a few light harted comments about the Tsunami a few years back too. Im sure he didnt mean any disrespect to all those people killed and made homeless and the comparission of how the team were sweeping aside all in front of them probably did look like a Tsunami. Still not the sort of coment anyone should be saying though it is? If I was to talk about some pedofile and in the same paragraph mention (Insert username) and try to link 2 sentances together by a harmless word in between whilst adding a cavet stating I am not suggesting that i think (Insert username) is a pedo in any way. But I kept repeating it for months. It wouldnt take long before people started to associate (Insert username) with pedo and there would be a lynch mob. Same as how people believe Pearson was sacked. people say it because its easier to create the spin that Lowe is still the big bad man and we should all hate him for it. when the truth (if what UP has said is the truth) is still something we can hate lowe for but doesnt quite fit into the adgenda that some people have. many dont like lowe but too many use lowes tactics to put there point accross. does that make them any better than lowe?
  16. but surely there are plenty of other shares available? ask a broker to get you as many saints shares as possible and they would soon start mounting up. it wouldnt take long for crouch to increase his holdings and along with the proxy of his supporters he would be back in a position to call the shots. Wilde doesnt seem to want to be anywhere near the place so im guessing it wouldnt take much to buy his shares off him. wasnt there also a rumour a long time ago that crouch offered to buy rupes shares off him and he said only if his proxy were offered the same price and crouch said no? there are so many rumours back n forth it gets to the point where i wonder why we all argue over these idiots at the top? Surly we support the saints cause we like going to the game and seeing some goals or a good match. preferable wthe result going in our favour.
  17. Dont think I will ever support him cause I dont like him. Who else is there to support though? For now I am just supporting the team for what they are and hoping they can do enough to keep us up. I hope that Rupes can do enough to keept us out of administration but i wouldnt really call that support.
  18. just see things for what they are rather than following the rest of the sheep. personally i think rupes is a prize pr1ck and needs to keep his mouth shut and get on with clearing the debt. I wont jump on the Lowe Out bandwagon until there is a firm alternative that is worth supporting. As others have said there are plenty of shares to be bought and Crouch has the money to do it and then get his own way. so why doesnt he do it? probably the same reason why no-one else has stepped up to do it. Im still trying to win big on the euro millions without my wife knowing so i can clear the lot of them out and spend the lot in the hope of a few years champions league footy.
  19. Trying to play devils advocet here but if you and someone else owned a business, the other person ran it and put it into massive debt the came and asked you to stump up some money to clear the debt would you not laugh in his face? just seems to me that rupes thinks he can run the business without putting it into further debt and slowly clearing the debt (something all business' should be trying to do IMO) when he left he believed the club was on a sound finacial footing so to have to fork out 2mil due to someone elses incompitence is laughable in his eyes. Unfortunatly for rupes to be able to run the business within these tight finacial guidlines he fails to realise that he needs the other shareholders and our support and it sounds like his attitude today will not help him in the slightest. As someone else has said a bit of humility would have gone a long way today.
  20. As much as it is a shambles and does nothing to help our club its about frigging time some of the people in charge showed that they give a toss and if having a bit of a slagging match is the spark that gets everyone moving in the right direction then im all for it. What will actually happen though is a few verbals will be thrown, nothing will ultimatly change and we will go back to the status quo and wait for some rich idiot to come along and buy the lot of them out.
  21. Rupes is not the only one to give the cheap option a chance and I think Gray and Wigleys record for the same number of games is better than JP's and D&G's albeit all under different circumstances. Rupes leads the lone though for giving the cheap option a chance for longer than needed though i will give ya that much. lol
  22. in the total football aspect I agree with you and earlier on this thread I think I suggested that some of the lads need basic instructions. like stay wide, get to the bi-line and get some crosses in! drop some of the interchanging guff and get a few basic skills and tactics going on. the players we have surly are good enough to do this much? and with this formation would that not bare more success than recent weeks? JP said himself that we have been missing proper wingers which is what this system needs and we have suffered from lallana and mcgoldrick always coming inside when they should have been playing wide. James is a central midfeilder too so he hasnt often stayed wide and gone for the bi-line. so having Dyer back and (ehum) on form the system may benifit a little by stretching the play on either flank. Has Dyer got any of his form back though? TBH I havnt bothered keeping tabs on him and the 1st i heard of him scoring a goal was on this thread.
  23. Im with you on that idea IF Dyer gets some of his form back, but like i said earlier we have never seen the potential that is supposed to be inside him somewhere. He was meant to be better than Theo when they were both 1st at the club and the expectation was that he was the real deal and Theo was 50/50. Has he ever looked like he was going to be that good for us? IMO he needs to get as good as he ever was for us and then knuckle down and make head way into that potential. On form I think he could be a really good asset to us but I just think he is no where near that good form we need.
  24. Soon you say? if he kept them on any longer there would have been people jumping from the itchen!!!!
  25. Some of that is a bit unfair IMO. Gray and Wigley were wrong choices but looking back at the options its understandable why they were given a go. Shame they didnt produce but its in the past now. Sturrock was IMO a good choice based on our funds not allowing us the free reign on bringing in the top big name managers. He was a manager from lower divissions that was doing well. He had a track record for taking a team and slowly building that team to be much stronger than was expected of them. We have a go at Lowe for not acting soon enough but on the Sturrock occasion its almost as if he wasnt given enough time. Burley and Redcrapp? Shows what we know dont it lol. WGS and Hoddle are 2 more you missed off of that little list that to be fair should be included. The fans were not happy with either as WGS failed at Cov and Hoddle's ideas for england would have made us a laughing stock for giving him the time of day. Hoddle took us to the best league position for years and withing touching distance of a europe spot and WGS gave us 1 step further and a FA Cup final. If we are going to beat Lowe for his bad decissions that we all knew best on surly he should get some sort of praise for the good decissions that we all thought were going to be a load of carp?
