  1. I have a tedious link to him and heard he is much the same as he always has been.
  2. Isnt the dispatches thing going on about how people have got around the drugs testing or got away with not being tested for 2 years or something? Joey Barton tweeted something the other day about the dispatches thing on tonight. Saying he had never seen anything that they are aledging so was interested in seeing what they come up with.
  3. To be fair I wold be surprised if its just one player. Bit of a shame if only one gets singled out but no doubt it will soon be followed with others that get found out. Cocaine and Pot seem far more socialy acceptable these days and many people with money see it as just part of a night out and not doing any harm. Footy players with bags loads of money would no doubt be mixing with plenty of people that do this kind of stuff so it wouldnt be hard to get involved.
  4. haha to be fair that sounds like a bit of freindly banter and I expect our fans would of done something similar. No doubt many others go for the full kit but shirts IMO are more than enough for grown men. lol
  5. I was watching the Rugby this morning and forgot to sky+ soccerAM. Did Beats give them much stick? I flicked over to see that they wore their new Penis kit which made me laugh.
  6. I honestly dont think there will be anything more than a fine that will come back to the club for the those in the court case. But if they are found guilty it will be of a crime that took place while they were still at your club. If that crime breaches any rules for the Prem or FL then actions should and would be taken. Like I said, it will be no more than a fine IMO as like others have already suggested, the possible crimes relate to a small number of things where are Luton was a shed load. Im surprised that the CVA is ringfenced by the parachute payments as I didnt think there was much of them left. Didnt Pompey get an advance on those payments to get them through the final year of the Prem? Then there is the football creditors that get paid 100%, I thought the parachute payments were kept back for some of that? Nothing factual in what I am saying though, just going on random bits and bobs from this thread that I seem to remember. Is there any accounts or statements over the past year or so that states where money is ringfenced? I know the CVA payments got defered to next April but there has been no speak of the football creditors. Have they been paid? Or do they also get defered till April? You seem to think there is a pot of cash just sitting there ready to pay the creditors in the CVA covered by the parachute payments. If thats the case why has it not been paid? Pompey are due the payments and the creditors are due their money. Why doesnt those holding these parachute payments just hand it straight over the the creditors and make everyone feel a little better? So while there are still no real facts from you or us you have to admit there are still plenty of questions that remain un-answered and its these questions that will keep this thread rolling on and on and on.
  7. Its amazing that we are now a few months into this new ownership and there are still basic questions that the skates cant even answer fully due to muddy waters surrounding their club. I know the FL (due to Pompey pushing for it n all) overhauled their FAPP's test to make sure they dont get mugged off again. Surely the same club that pushed for the change would not of exposed yet more holes in the process? Could it happen??? lol
  8. So just when you think you can see the bottom the waters cloud up even more. Its OK though cause im sure the Ruskies will facebook everyone with the real details. LOL
  9. Interesting how the new company believe the adminitrators created this little nugget in a "very wooly way" Its like they are trying to wash their hands of the whole process just in case someone trys to come back and bit them on the arse about it all. Surley the small creditors monies are owed legally within the CVA and the promises to pay full amounts under £2500 were just words to make the children follow the pied piper. If there is no legal document about paying full amounts under £2500 then the small creditors will get 20p in the £1 just the same as everyone else. Can they then argue that they would of voted "No" had that been the case all along? Can they withdraw their vote? That could put the club on very dodgy ground along with the FL as they rattified and rubber stamped the golden share and lack of penaltys for agreeing a CVA that duped the creditors. Who looks more stupid? Small creditors? FL? Or the Ruskies?
  10. Haha typical brits. apologies for apologise lol Anyone got any updates on the court cases? Or have the skates been LOL'ing about their latest penis kit? I messaged Chris from Soccor AM on Twitter to let him know about their 3rd kit as half their supporters will be on the show Sat morning. I got a reply from some @Lord_Palmerston saying "Of course, with a Southampton shirt there's a c**t inside it." My reply was that the Skate shirts have ringfenced them on the shoulder of all their shirts. I didnt hear any more after that. lol Anything new to LOL at the skates today or has it all gone quiet again?
  11. Ah right, Wasnt after apologies so no need. The whole situation for Saab is pretty unclear so easily to get confused with it. Doesnt look good for Saab but does seem strange that they run the risk of shutting up shop completly but wont let mega rich pompey owner in the doors to save the day.
  12. So Spyker have now got something to do with Saab? I thought that didnt happen in the end? Cause the Ruskie doesnt have anything to do with Saab does he? I thought Saab would rather go under than have him in charge the way they are acting. Anyone actually know whats going on between the Ruskies, Spyker, Saab and so on?
  13. He is on Soccer AM this week with the skates as the fans in the stand. Think its a bit tight taking half of their fan base to be honest but they at least might see some entertainment.
  14. I would love him back too. Dont honestly think he will be anything like we remember which would be a let down but if Him, Marian, Le Tiss and Chris Marsden Football Genius shacked up wanting a squad number I would sign them all up regardless.
  15. Question is when did they stop doing this on a regular basis? If they still do it then their argument doesnt hold up as well but can our home ground be compared to london grounds? Weekends in London see's many sets of fans moving around so the chances of situations between groups must be higher than somewhere that there is likley to be only 2 sets of large scale fans. Last year it seems the approach to let everyone out at the same time was adopted, or at least noticed more. Was that a nationwide thing?
  16. It was also mentioned how holding back fans was more of a blanket response which is now more of an exception. 2006 they were still doing it as a standard act but 2011 politics gets in the way of a more ruthless approach. The police are not alloud to suit up in riot gear and run in battering anyone in a footy shirt anymore as they get sued for breaching something or other. Times have changed and in a way they could be asking for something serious to happen due to the namby pamby approach. Public will either chill out and the majority of fans who dont want trouble will weed out the minority that do, or the minority will take advantage of slack policing and build things back up to like they used to be. I would rather the former TBH.
  17. I realy dont think its worth the effort FC. He seems to think that because on paper they made a profit on sales and they dont know where the money went its all OK. If they got to £70m in debt and were not trading insolvently then they would of been servicing the debt and paying their way with no problems from anyone. Manu are in lots of debt but they service it while paying all other bills. Pompey were in feffect creating more debt to keep them afloat and it wasnt even paying the bills or sevicing the debt. At some point in that someone must of thought they were trading insolvent but carried on regardless. At what point was that? When was the date that they should of looked at their accounts and thought.... we're in the poo here! To almost double up the debt again on a road trip to another cup final and not think there is a bit of cheating going on somewhere is mind boggling. And the answer to reduce costs to try and survive was to shed the high earners.... good move.... but then to shed anyone who doesnt cost much and replace them with people who cost alot more just smacks of lunacy. But its all OK cause the FL said so I bet the FL didnt know half the stuff that the forensic investigation will be looking at. Wether any of it is illegal or not remains to be seen but as more and more came out it became harder to understand how the FL rubber stamped it all. They may be hoping the investigation doesnt find anything too as it would make their actions more questionable.
  18. Its a tricky situation for the club. If dan was being a knob or the agressor that came off worse due to falling and hitting his head then the club dont want to be seen to be condeming him or anyone else or supportive of actions that look bad on the club. If dan is the innocent party and someone is up for criminal charges then the club probably dont want to be the route of a public campaign or the cause of possible jury's having their mind made up before and cases. It seems hartless but by giving the bare minimum of info without taking any sides is probably the most diplomatic approach. Once the facts are out they can either support or fine dan and get it dealt with ASAP so they can move on and put it behind everyone.
  19. If you really do see your clubs situation in anyway similar to ours then there really is no point in trying to explain it to you once again. But please stop acting like you are surprised that we think you and your club are rotten to the core. Its been spelt out more than enough times and you have completly ignored what has been said. Looks to me like you are jusst trolling for kicks and if thats the case then fair play as you have got more than enough reaction than you deserve. Thats it from me though. Was happy to try and sensibley debate with you but had enough now. See ya
  20. Sorry for asking but could do with some help if poss. I am doing a skydive for Paignton Zoo and I am looking for sponsorship. If anyone can spare even just £1 I would apreciate it. I am jumping tomorrow morning around 10am from 15000ft strapped to a stranger. I am not sure which bit is more worrying to be honest but im sure all will be fine. If anyone would like to donate please visit www.justgiving.com/PZooJumpJP where the minimum donation is £2 or via text send PZOO77 £1 to 70070 to donate £1. Thanks loads. Jay
  21. Knee jerk reaction would make most think the bouncers were being more old school and out of order. But for ballance it could equally have been that DS was being thrown out against his will and fighting back, not knowing how he ended up on the floor of course but any fall resulting in his head being smacked on the floor could cause serious injury. Without knowing the facts I personally would lean more towards the doormen not doing their job properly but its worth keeping an open mind till more comes out.
  22. If thats true then the police may take a lesser view on the action outside the club. Cant see someone slapping a doorman once and being alowed to stick around though. There should be plenty of witnesses though so truth should come out and be dealt with well as its in the public eye so much already. Will wait and see though.
  23. Yeah pretty sure that will be on camera. Think the Police are looking for anyone that might know what went on inside to figure out if what went on outside was in any way justified. Its easy to jump to conclusions of bouncers being heavy handed but on route out the one being ejected could of just as much been out of order. These sorts of things are not easy to prove one way or another. Hopefully being a high profile person in trouble will mean the police deal with it correctly. Doormen down this way used to only turn up for work for a scrap. knuckle dusters and gum shields in their pocket ready to go. much different now and doormen tend to spot trouble long before it kicks off and move in to defuse situations before anyone gets hurt and allow punters to continue with having a good night. Torquay nights out are not quite the same as a night out back home though. Incendents like this tend to drag doormen into much more of a prevention tac tic which can only be a good thing. Its a shame serious damage to anyone has to happen before things start to change though.
  24. As others have already said, thoughts with Dan and his family. There should be CCTV available from somewhere I would of thought. Hope he makes a speedy recovery and the situation is dealt with ASAP.
  25. But the point is the rules stated meant that we should of got away with it. So legally we were within our rights to challenge it or expect to "get away with it". Cant remember too many on the forum actually thinking we were hard done by when we didnt get away with it though. Losing the radio station and insurance company made Saintsfc exclusive to the parent company which allowed the FL to bend the rules and dish out point anyway. I remember most people thining it sucked but probably deserved as other teams had been hit worse in the past. Then your lot come along making fools out of the Prem and creditors and come away with what seems a pretty week punishment followed by bending the rules as much as possible while the prem and FL bend over and take it. So we feel we got treated harsh but probably fair, and feel your lot got treated with kids gloves and didnt get whats coming to them. Hopefully the court cases will nail those that put football to shame and some form of punishment will reflect on all that went wrong in the past. Think its a long way off your club having a clean slate though. Wouldnt you rather your club had been run through the mill and earnt the respect of the footballing world by re-building after it had made roads into paying its debts?
