  1. So if this turns out to be true does that mean Rupes and co will be letting go of the club for a tenner? (or at least allot less than it is currently worth) If the deal is something similar to the one that got him wolves I mean? Surly that would be the kind of fan friendly deal that Leon would be trying to make rather than something that Rupes would agree too. dont get me wrong as I would love it to be true but it just doesnt sound like anything Rupes would be interested in and sounds more like something a main shareholder on the outside (currently LC) would be shouting about to stir up some kind of rabble to beat the current chairmen.
  2. If you had over 10 years running such a business would you really employ someone else to do it or to advise you? Not saying that makes him the right man for the job but in his position I doubt you would hand over the reigns of a job you thought you are more than capable of doing.
  3. Dont think many will find anything to disagree with on these points and most would have been more than happy if Lowe had kept pearson on. Something that is not discussed though is the level of finacial dificulty we were supposed to be at while under crouch/wilde/lowe. It is impossible to know which rumour is gen and which ones are not but the basic OD rumour was that it had risen to 6mil while Crouch was in charge and it appears its back down to 4.5mil with lowe and wilde back. I know we only really care about what happens on the pitch but I very much doubt those at barkleys care much about us getting 3 points and a load of happy fans. Long run sure they want SMS to be full and us to be able to service our debt but short term i would have thought getting cash in is there only worry and it is something that the current mob appear to be doing well enough. I just think the picture is allot bigger than some of the debates we all manage to have on here and think there is more reason that we do not see as to why the egotistical pr1ck is back and running the show.
  4. Again someone is not looking at things objectivly. you say Pearson inherited a mess of a squad and so has Wotte. Pearson pulled together a team that eventually started performing? How many times did that team perform may I ask? How many times did it not? How many games has Wotte had with the same Support Pearson had? you say nothing has changed but you havnt given Wotte as much of a chance as Pearson had. I said before that I dont think Wotte is anything special but neither was pearson. It just points out that if Crouch does something then its the right thing to do and gets support yet if Lowe does something it is straight away at a disadvantage. I agree that lowe got off fairly lightly when he returned and a number of peopl gave him the benifit of doubt to a certain extent but to be fair Crouch made the same mistakes Lowe did and some yet is supported by most just because he is against Lowe.
  5. This highlights one of the problems we have at our club. It doesnt matter what Lowe does as even if he does everything right many fans still see him as the problem. This time last season we had Pearson who made our squad run around allot more than we had seen for any of the matches previously. We liked that and he got out support even though the results were not any better than the rest of the season. This time this season we dont have Lowe we have Wotte who has got our squad running around allot more than we have seen for any of the matches previously. We dont like this as the results are not magically better than we have ever seen before and because Wotte is Lowe's choice. I dont actually see Wotte as a manager to get excited about but then neither did I get excited about Pearson. But the least some of us could do is give the same level of support/leway to either manager?
  6. Just a random point but if the team was doing better and the fans came flooding back earlier maybe the money leaving the club due to crouch's decissions would have been compensated by ticket sales and the 2 ronnies wouldnt have had a stick to beat Crouch with? IMO our club is in trouble no matter who is in charge and its about time we all stopped looking for someone to blame and looked for a solution.
  7. trouble is with message boards and this one is no exception is that when things get repeated enough they become used as facts even when evidence against is there for all to see. So the 1st post might not be believed but if enough people jump up and down saying its an outrage peoples feelings follow suit and before long there is an angry mob demanding change when half the people dont actually know if that change is either needed or worthwhile. facts are born out of rumours and they are hard to shift. If there is an OS quote on Monday morning saying BWP and MCG have done nothing wrong and they dont know where this story is coming from how many from on here do you think will be shouting cover up and conspiricy?
  8. If it happened like the original poster (not sturomseysaint) said then its a disgrace but does anyone else think this sounds a bit like the guy is not whiter than white? I mean when I was a kid I wound my bro's up all the time until they snapped and when dad came to shout my halo was back in place and I swore i did nothing to provoke them. My 1st impression is that some drunk lad found it funny to have a dig at a couple of our players and they probably gave some back. If it escalated to some fisty cuffs I doubt there was an innocent party and all of them should have known better. Christ if they wernt footy players would there be as much interest? It happens every night in and around most towns. Its one of the draw backs to the old alchipops. Everyone grows a pair and thinks they need to take on the world for some pretty odd reasons. On top of all that it could still just be a load of donkey balls and some muppet has made it up in an attempt to make things worse for us. (was wondering how it could get much worse TBH) Will wait to hear it in the press before I jump on any bandwagon me thinks.
  9. Not disagreeing, like I said he would do better keeping his mouth shut but think that when he does open his gob I would rather him be positive than negative. just comes accross as BS when we are so carp though.
  10. did you expect him to say they are all really depressed and ready to call it quits? fluck the fans cause they dont mean jack sh it to us. we are just looking forward to league 1 footy cause then we wont have to play poopy next year in the CCC. I think he would do better by not giving any interviews personally but come on trying to talk positive about us at the mo is near on impossible but at least he is try ing lol
  11. I think thats what I was getting at before. there are a fair few teams that will be looking at the bottom 3 and we are due a few good results so I just think that we can do enough to get ahead of at least 3 worse teams.
  12. Dont want to turn this into yet another debate about those in charge but if knob head is doing what he said with regards to barcleys they wont give a flying fluck about us not wanting league 1 football. When he came back our overdraft was around 6mil and now its around 4.5mil if what has been reported on here is to be believed. So in there eyes we are making progress. If we were winning matches then the fans would return, maybe not all of them but a good enough number to make the banks even happier. I dont want the team to make us safe for the board to keep there jobs cause IMO there all toss pots. I want them to get the points for us because collectivly the fans have put more into football than any of the gifted few will ever dream about and its about time they pulled there frigging socks up.
  13. Maybe I always try to think positivly, same as I think Saints will be the biggest club in the world....... 1 day But looking at our team/squad, on paper does it really look like we should be battling the drop? A poor run, poor decissions, injurys, changes, board room and many other reasons put together turn us into an underperforming team somehow. But I just think if we can get 1 or 2 things right we can build on that and move forward. Before the Shefield game we were 2 wins away from 14th place I think. Its only been 1 game since then and now we have a game in hand so it is all firmly still in our hands. I wont give up yet and I hope the team doesnt either. long way to go and all that but the club need to realise fingers need to be pulled out of arses if we are to stand a chance.
  14. Technically I think we have more than enough about us to stay up and looking at how many teams are still well within reach of the drop zone I dont see why we shouldnt be able get out of this hole. To do it though we will definitley have to do allot more than we have done the rest of the season. So yes I think we "Could" get out of it but will need a complete change of fortune and a lot of luck to just move in the right direction.
  15. Kind of squashes me being a hypocrite then. My points are not trying to get one over on alps or anyone else. just pointing out that its easy to hear snippets on here and get carried away with the whole lowe is at fault for everything and anything that good happens is in spite of lowe or accidental. ive said before there is plenty to hate him for and campaign against but having hissy fits over things that have not happened just makes the anti lowe lot look a bit silly. same goes for the odd jobs like scooby/nineteen canteen. the actual view is awful but fairly ballanced and we all want it to be so much better.
  16. So Lowe obviously just looking out for himself didnt tell Crouch that he could buy his shares as long as he bought the shares of those that supported him for the same price? If the report that turned up on here or where ever that crouch made the offer is to be believed then it makes sence to also believe that rupes replied as such? So crouch had a chance to clear the club of Rupes AND rupes' suporters but didnt go through with it? We dont know what the offer was in all honesty or what any conditions may have been. But do you believe that if Crouch went public saying he has 10 mil spare and he wants to buy out the other main shareholders he would get an overwhelming amount of support from 99% of the fans? Me included? Would this support not flush through southampton and make Rupes and Wilde and co's position completly unetainable? This is what I mean by making something happen. As it stands there is no boneifide alternative but if Crouch or who ever stood up waving a bank sheet saying everything is in place to buy the others out then there would be a definitive alternative and I would love to come and protest, demonstrate and sing swing lowe. I would even try to arrange a way to get you there too alps. but it aint gona happen is it? or can you see a way forward where Lowe is not around?
  17. We didnt get relegated and for that Pearson has been given credit when we didnt actually get enough points to make ourselves safe. Surly thats like giving Lowe credit for keeping all our players here when no-one actually bid any suitable offers? if we had got relegated I personally would have felt sorry for pearson as I agree he jumped onto an already sinking ship. but my feelings on Pearson are based on what I think the guy could do not one the facts of what was done. So my points before were not from my own opinion but more playing devils advocet and looking at the facts. Do I think he is a good manager? yes I do. Do I think he did well with us? Not that well really. Do I think he would have done better this year? Yes I do and a whole lot better than what we have have. but thats the bit that is based on a big IF and not a Fact. So I dont think I am being hypocritical on anything. Just trying to look at things objectivly and not let what I think of 1 person or another get in the way of whats going on. As for what I think of them all I can only go on what I have seen in the press and formed my own opinion. I dont mean to offend any of them not that I think they will give a monkeys what I think of them but its the impression I get. Allot of the info we form our opinions on them comes from here and allot of that is fed directly from them as it supports what they want us to think. If they are all going to be here then I think they should all work together and if thats what Crouch wants then great. Its the only way I think all of them can achieve anything but there have been many times the option has been presented by one or the other and there is always 1 of them that bins the idea. its not long before who ever tried to make a truce comes out in the press or via here telling everyone how they are the ones trying to do whats right and make the others look like the big bad wolf again. This is where i think they all have a go at point scoring and it looks like they all want to get one over each other. If Crouch or any of the others want to give me a call then I am all ears. there position doesnt effect me and I have nothing to gain from speaking to any of them. But I will quite happily speak to any of them and hear what they think that can do if all 3 were there or why they cant make a move to buy the others out. Its not going to happen the same as the club wont move forward while they all have something to argue about. All just my opinion of course.
  18. Big mistake on JP's part I agree. I think maybe a 4-5-1 formation might have suited him better as the back would have had more cover and the lone striker could have had more support from all over the midield. The english game can cope with diffeent formations and they can work but if the manager cant recognise that a particualr formation is not cutting it then he is well and truly doomed. The change should have happened sooner although I do believe McGoldrick and BWP with a bit of specific coaching could have done enough to get us a few points in a 4-4-2 without the help of Saga. but coaching beating the offside trap for BWP and Shooting on target for DM must not seem that important to the powers that be as they seem to have learnt nothing that they need to in there time with the 1st team. Hindsight should be used and learnt from no matter who is in charge and its something that Rupes has a big issue with admitting. His Ego is one of my biggest gripes as his constant projection that he has never done anything wrong is the biggest thing that gives support to his oponents. If he actually came accross like he was trying to do things for the best the oposition would have a much harder time trying to shift him. But the plank comes accross like he knows best while sticking with obviously failing managers and systems that need more than a few months to work on.
  19. I pointed out what? 1 contradiction? the rest of my points show up that you are talking rubbish TBH. I like some of Rupes ideas but I dont think he is the man that can carry them out. Most of his other ideas are complete arse and he shouldnt have the chance to carry them out. I dont see anything in the rest of them that can do any better than what we have as long as the others are still involved. If Rupes bought out the others and was playing with entirely his own money I think he would get better results because it would matter so much more to him. Likewise with Crouch. Any decissions he makes effects not only his bank ballence so he can afford to play with other peoples money. If he owned it outright do you really think he would have racked up 6 mil debt? he couldnt offer to pay just 2 mil then could he? If he buys either of the other 2 out he will get so much more of my support and I will happily clear the desk of Rupes or who ever but I cant see him doing it whilbue he can still argue and fight with the other muppets in charge.
  20. I dont actually count Pearson as a failure but I wonder had other results gone against us on the last day of the season I wonder how much support he would have now? I think he should have been given the chance and think we would be in a much better position now FWIW. But most of the arguments on here are based on IFs and Maybes or complete boll0x made up by a few posters who like to spout out constant abuse as it suits what they think. And thats from both sides IMO. I would say 99% of the fan base want Rupes out of the door and never to return. The problem I have with the others to take his place is that they all seem more concerned on getting one over Rupes and co than they o eon getting rid of him completly. Do they not understand that if they buy him out he has no say at all? Stand and shout and stamp there feet as much as they want. I cant be arsed to support any of them untill they actually do something that will make a change forever.
  21. Im with you on wanting Lowe out and for our fortunes to change but cant help but laugh at some of your arguments mate.
  22. Sorry to but into your little love in you have going alps but your points are over a 10 year or so period and Crouch made rthe same co ck up within a few month period. you would have thought he might have learnt from Lowes mistakes wouldnt you? And to be fair Pearson wasnt exactly a success either. I know he was trying to clean someone elses mess but he had more than enough time to do it and in the end was only saved by other teams results. So you could say Crouch had a go and co cked it up with both swings of the bat. Rupes tried to build something and has failed. i am not arguing that at all. But in his attempt to build something we moved into SMS and had an FA cup final and hit our highest league finish without spending beyond our means all mixed in with many stupid ideas and pompus point scoring against anyone he thought was infereor no himself. his few success' doesnt earn him my support but until someone buys the pr ick out then i dont see the others doing any better IMO
  23. I think if were lucky the youngens passion and lack of fear may have carried us quite far has the results gone our way and we could have built on that to be in a pretty good position by xmas. I never thought that they would be up to pushing the whole season so I thought any progress made in the 1st half would have dropped off in the 2nd and we would have been safe but some way off play off places. as it turned out some dodgy injuries and many mistakes bornout of the inexperience meant the results rarly went our way and thats been the line we have followed ever since. Now we need them all to stand up more than ever and we have to call on the experience to help bale us out. This season was based allot on IF we get a run going me thinks
  24. Just a question but these people that want to get involved but only if Lowe is not here, Why dont they just buy him out? Surly its the only sure fire way to be involved without him at the club? People go on about Lowe PR company talking boll0x and making fools out of them selves but how many years have we heard about that bloke at the BBC who will come and save us when lowe is gone? Its the usual line that gets wheeled out by most people trying to gain support to get Lowe to move over, yet none have got rid completly. I dont challenge anyone to buy him out, I dont challenge anyone to stand up to him. I FOOKIN BEG SOMEONE WILL DO IT! Hands and knees, on the floor Begging!!!! Please someone make the move that will unite our club. Buy out Lowe and Wilde. If we are left with Crouch so beit. I dont care anymore TBH. If he thinks he can do it on his own get the others bought out and have a crack FFS. All this BS about rallying support and Fans choice and protests and EGM's and all the other gumf will mean bugger all if someone just steps up and says they want to buy the others out and move the club forward.
  25. Was just talking to a friend at work about something similar. If I were to win a massive euro miillions payout then I would love tobuy the lot of the dip sh its out. But as I dont have the 1st idea on how to run a football club I would employ a CEO and all other relivant people to try to turn the club around as I think the flack I would recieve for not knowing what I was doing would be more damaging to the club in the long run. Why the major players cant come up with a sensible idea like this is beyond me.
