going into the box but not the goal? Think he is saying we had the chances but couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo
-
I think I gave the only positive I could think of but it means bugger all as its been the only positive we have had most of the season. Chances being the only positives we have had but if we dont score from said chances then it means naff all.

Beginning of the season I figured we would be alright because we were creating loads more chances than the opo and it would be a short time before our strikers realised where the goal is. then it went dead and we couldnt create chances to take and things went down hill fast. We are creating the chances again (all beit more even with the opo) but still have the same problem. Need new strikers? Hoddles spiritual guide? White witch? DROP THE ONE CONSISTANT PROBLEM IN OUR STRIKE FORCE McG? New boot deal for the strikers? I dont know what the answer may be but it seems the problem has been here throughout when all around gets change.

gutted again. what a crap season this is. Only plus side about this game is that we had more than enough chances to win this game and only lost the 2nd goal due to pushing for the equaliser. Can lose a goal like that as opposed to being 1 nil down and still pinned in our own half for the whole match. need to do something about our home form if we are going to get away with this. the replyance on the away form seemed to be more effective under the ineffective JP.

Cant even do that if its in the initial loan period. 1 month loan there is no recall option. Extend it for another month and the recall option kicks in. Same goes for any length of loan. Gone for a season? no recall. Extend it and the recall option kicks in,

I think he is too far on the side of talking optimistically (is that a word?) but cant complain at him for that surly? Personally I prefer the honest approach and I think we had that with WGS but he was as good with the press as he was with the players. As for asking for Rasiak and John? He can ask as much as he bloody likes it aint going to happen. Something to do with NO RECALL CLAUSE IN INITIAL LENGTH OF LOAN! Its the rules. As set by the FA.

think he meant that McG stayed on as Saga went off. Could be right about the knock but doesnt sound like McG has done anything to warrant being on the pitch ahead of Saga.
-
Not trying to stick up for him but would you rather his interviews go on about how rubbish we are and that we have no chance?
-
think that could have been a serious question over the whole season TBH
-
Cant say i would have done the same but to be fair we dont know how he has played this game so could be a reason behind it. Not hearing anything about McG kind of says allot though.

I know he is using the experience at a tough time but am I the only one that thinks a bit of youth should be ahead of Wotton? I know we need a bit of bite in the middle but surly Mule would be better in the middle with a young fast winger and Wotton on the bench?

BBC report at half time suggested it was more even than the impression I got off here. We hit the post and had one cleared off the line and there goal was offside according to our players. KD made a few decent saves to keep us in it but didnt sound like BC was all over us thats for sure.

I guess thats meant to be funny?

We are usually good in 1 half and arse in the other. I am hoping that the 1st half was the arse half and will stuck around for the 2nd just in case.

afternoon all. doesnt look good reading this thread. anyone that got comentary got any decent updates on how its all goin?

It would be my guess that the board will be looking seriously at this closer to the deadline also. As I said before, a couple of wins/loses and a few good/bad performances could swing the vote either way which is why the knee jerk reaction to claim we should jump now doesnt quite fit. With a bit of luck going our way and we could all be looking forward to a better time.

fair point. got side tracked. Appologies.

I think it depends on when the poll is taken and how it is worded. 1: If its a certanty that we will be relegated should we take administration now? Yes or No 2: If there is still a good chance we could survive relegation should we take administration now? Yes or No Results would be completly different IMO baring a few that want to take admin just to get up olr Rupes nose that is.

But it goes to show that if he or anyone else says something that fits with what you believe you are happy to use it as proof/example. But if he says something that doesnt fit with what you believe you right it off as something else. I have no problem with you personally and I am not replying to your posts to wind you up. I am just trying to give ballence to some of your ideas. I actually agree with some of your ideas or I have in the past but the doom and gloom does have anotherside to its coin.

to be fair I think I am less knee jerk than many on here but its just a message board and this game of football we all claim to love is very emotional and can make people act strange at odd times. many on here come accross as complete (ocks but in person I doubt they are as bad as they come accross and probably all share the same thing as everyone else on here. A passion for our club! I have stated many times that I dont think it looks good but I am still optimistic that we can pull through. MLT doubts that we can pull it off 2 seasons in a row. How many thought that season after season in the top flight in the 80's? Just because MLT is worried does that mean we are written off? If he came out and said he thinks RL has got things right now and we have a good chance of staying up you wouldnt take his words as fact. you would suggest he is having his arm twisted by Lowe.

2 draws and 1 loss in his 1st 3 which is the same as Pearson. I did feel more confident with Pearson than I do with Wotte but Wotte has more games to do it so maybe he can do enough? Just think there is plenty of points to play for and even if we can get 1 win the mood will change for the better and it may be the kick we need to salvage enough points.

didnt miss it. And I even said we are going down too. It was jwst after we lost a match that we all thought we had a chance of winning. was feeling pretty crap at that point and wouldnt have been surprised if my kids dis-owned me and my balls fell off. Lets just say, for arguments sake, we beat Bristol convincingly. Play them off the park and McGoldrought gets a hatrick and we keep a clean sheet. If the same poll was run then what would you hazzard a guess at the result being? My guess is that people would be high on life and suggesting that we should be walking the league and we will stay up no problem. now im not suggesting that is what will happen but my point is that the poll was taken after a carp game and we all felt carp. had we won the feeling would have been much better and so the poll would have looked much different.
-
oh yeah i forgot, Pearson did it by winning every game available didnt he.
-
Since when have you been the voice of everyone? Didnt earlier in this thread (it may be another thread?) you say that you are part of a minority? You sound indisicive..... or are you just not sure?

IF it was an absolute certanty that we are going down this year then the Odds would be pretty high that Administration would follow. The problem I have with what your saying is that as likly as relegation looks right now a few wins would change everyones outlook on the rest of the season. Wotte has longer to right things than Pearson did and the 1st few results are no different to each others. Wotte has brought the experience back into the team and seems to be trying to address the area's that have been our problem, Same as Pearson did! IF and yes I know its still a big IF, Wotte is successful in the coming weeks then survival is a real possibility and as such so is the avoidence of administration. Personally I think we can do it but that doesnt mean I am not worrying that we may fail. IF it was absolutly certain that we are going to go down then yes it would be better to take the hit now. But I think we are a long way off knowing that as a certanty.
