His 1st game in charge was at home against plym. He might not have had much say in picking the team but he was indeed our manager and in the dug out so that puts him in charge IMO. Only 1 point difference but should we get a win tomorrow Wottes 1st 4 games will produce a better return than Pearsons 1st 4. And you can stop laughing at the thought we might win tomorrow.
-
I think his comments are aimed at a few rather than the many but think he needs to be at least more carful in his choice of words. As or his managment of the team he has already tried to change things to what the majority of us lot think would be better. If our strikers could shoot then things may look allot better.
-
So if Wotte manages somehow to get us safe then he would have done better than pearson? Im guessing a few people on here wont like that idea at all. lol
-
??? Was Norwich his 1st game? That would make 2 draws in his 1st 4 games and Pearson had 1 win 1 draw right? I was thinking Wotte has had 3 games and only 1 draw which is the same as Pearsons record i think?

Feck me someone with a good idea!!!! Ive been trying to say this over the last week or so. If all those that put all there effort into boycotts and protests actually got together and made plans on attracting a buyer we might actually get rid of the muppets and turn a corner that we can all support. IMO I wouldnt take admin until it was mathmatically proven we are down and even then only if it was proven we cant afford to survive in league 1. If we had to take it and had the points next season then so be it. but while there is still a chance we can survive without admin then we should be at least trying.
-
IMO I think he can do it. He certainly has enough time to do it and there are enough teams in free fall or in trouble to make it an interesting fight. No doubt we will find out by the last game of the season though.
-
Thing is he had been written off before he started but I agree with the mouth shut and get on with results. If we had 9 points since he started IMO he could say what he liked and I would join him in slating the stay aways. We havnt though and IMO 90% of the stay aways are staying away because there is little chance of 3 points and its no fun watching us get relegated from the CCC. If it looked like we might survive the same would happen as last season and the gates would fill. So the comments from today would be pointed at the small % of fans that want the club to sink as long as RL is here. 0 points from 9 doesnt give him a good base to throw these coments out from though.

TBF I have already said he would be better off getting points on the board before he goes round mouthing off at everyone else. But my comment was purly to highlight (tongue in cheek) the fact that his words were not directed at everyone on the march buret at those who are percieved to be organising it. As Darren W pointed out this kid should actually get some credit for trying to do something but thats a different story. The idea of the march is supposed to be to let the board know we as fans are not happy with the current situation and we want something done. But jus like every thread on here it has been highjacked into a Lowe Out and anything else in campaign allong with boycotts and giving up season tickets. Wotte in a stupid way is basically saying the team/club have done crap but they are trying to do something about it. The team need the supporters to come back and support the team, not having a dig at the ones who bother to go into SMS but the ones who dont. The ones who wont come back until Lowe has gone are also the ones that are waiting for us to fail and get relegated and go into administration because thats how they think Lowe will be gone. IMO they should be putting there effort into getting rid of Rupes without letting the club burn down around us. now what has Wotte said that is so wrong?
-
Are they the ones organising the march on facebook? If so I can see why his words are so wrong
-
I thought they are marching as they dont support the board? The team still needs support
-
I wouldnt go that far. I would rather him get on with the job and give a "no comment" to the press. If he had won his 1st 3 games in charge and we were out of the drop zone his words might carry a bit more weight and he has already proved that he doesnt mind having a dig at the main shareholders so a few choice comments while winning footy matches would probably win him allot of support with the fans. Points 1st IMO
-
So you can insult someone that has a POV but Wotte should appologise for asking a question?
-
I can see why his comments have got your lots back up but apart from the kids bit what is he saying that is so wrong? He asked if the protesters are really supportive or if there waiting for us to go down? So if the protesters are also boycotting the games is that being supportive? Most of the talk over this season has been talking about boycotting so again that is not being supportive of the team is it? You can see in some of the comments after the report that there are some who want him to fail as it somehow provides more amunition to get rid of Lowe and Co. So again, what is he saying that is so wrong? IMO he should keep his mouth shut and get on with the job to get some points on the board. Him getting involved in the politics will do nothing but anger the fans both supportive and unsupportive But as he has said something look at it and tell me how much in his quote is so bad?

To be fair I thought he set the tone for the AGM by reading a letter which has never been printed or revealed that he supposedly got that morning or something. The wording of the letter sounded like it was written by Scooby so you can imagine how it got everyones backs up. That doesnt excuse what followed and Crouch and Co should have seen it as nothing more than pointless goading by Rupes and kept his cool. I think Rupes knew that if he said the right things Crouch would blow up from all his hot air and make a plank of himself. Unfortunatly Rupes didnt think about how stupid he would look for reading out the words of Scooby. If the AGM was a boxing match then it would have just about been round 1 to Rupes and that was probably what was behind the whole idea. The rest of the fight would have been canceled as it turned into a complete farce with Chorley the spectator invading the ring and Crouch and his entourage throwing in the towel and walking out. If Crouch had kept his cool I think the whole meeting would have gone the other way and Rupes would be left witha proper rosey cheeks.

I think it says we generally agree that things havnt gone well under any of the 3. I dont think anyone disputed that before TBH. The debate that goes on and will probably continue is what everyone thinks is the best way forward with what is available.

So that is what is perceived as Lowes Biggest mistake?
-
Im guessing they have doubled up as toilet cleaners by now
-
Thats a hell of alot of gumf for a few yes or no answers.

I actually think this one looked the strongest -------------DAVIS James--PERRY--SIZE--Surman -------Gillett--Wotton Lallana-----Euell----Skacel -------------Saga Maybe changing lallana on the right with someone who will keep the width and as long as Skacel can keep the width on the left. Ah actually im not sure about Surman at LB either. Glad im not picking the team on Sat.

a)Yes - if you mean the season we got relegated and the following season b)No - They appeared to becuase lowe was gone but what went on combined with what had preceeded just made things worse. c)No - Again they appeared too but just followed on in Wildes footsteps and combined with mistakes from the previous 2 followed on with more of his own and things got worse still. d)No - Lowe has come back and made yet more mistakes and as if it couldnt get any worse..... it did. If the questions relate to whats happened on the pitch rather than at the club then its a simple a)No EDIT: I meant Yes b)Yes at the start c)No d)No

A staggeringly irrelevant bit of information

Fair enough he had a mare for 1 season but awsome this season so 50/50 if he should be included. Bale and Theo had bad games too so should they be dropped from the magnificent 7ish? -
thats something to do with the seperation between fans. the only time you are likly to get a complete sell out (and even then not ever seat will be bought) would be for a testimonial involving past and present saints teams. As soon as there is oposition there will be segregation between fans. this creates a bunch of empty seats.
-
I dont get how it takes them nearly the whole match to work it out? Tickets are not bought at the turnstyles are they? and the club always know the figure for season tickets so its only the match day tickets that change. does it really take nearly 90 mins for the computer to add up how mnay match day tickets have been sold?

KD, Bale and Theo? Cant think of anymore that stand out to be all that good since we have been down here. John? Scored lots but was a lazy arse getting back onside Rasiak? Score sheet shows he was good but painful to watch him play sometimes Cant believe I am struggling to find the 7 good ones! lol -
Dont think any of them will want to risk increasing there shareholding when there is a high risk of going into admin and tking a bigger hit. At the mo they can all weild the sword and make the right noises about how they all can take the club forward and how the others are tin pot no hopers, as they are all playing with more of someone elses money than there own. Can you imagine what would be being done if just of of the 3 owned 90% of the club? Losing 2mil while the others lose 5 mill between them is almost acceptable. Losing 20mil and a reputation along with it would not be tollerated by any of them so they will rather fight amongs themselves than put any money where its needed.
