  1. Cause me not wearing any shin pads swung (for the ball-ish) and connected with the other guys shin. Shin to Shin. The amount of damage he recieved you would have thought i might of at least had a bruise. Like I said I put it down to him being a flash git with all the super duper kit to make him look the part which actually did nothing to help him when it mattered. I actually think he would have gone down the same had my 5 year old son tackled him lol
  2. Fair point and I never looked at it like that. I just figured he bought some flashy shin pads that looked great but were pretty useless. I didnt hit them that hard to be fair and I didnt have a mark on my shin at all. lol
  3. Maybe they are planning to relay the surface in the off season so anything we do to it wont matter? Although I was under the impression that we have one of the better pitches in the CCC and didnt think we have had to relay it?
  4. Thats a good point, there are 1 or 2 that refuse to go to the games as they dont want to line his pockets so stumping up £100 to the club for a kick about might be too far too?
  5. Do we really think the powers that be at SMS are going to let us lot run round with Studded boots? Im just imagining the Ground Staffs faces when they see us lot thunder around taking chunks out of the grass as we all slide through Scooby, Stanley, TDD, FC and any one else that gets remembered for falling out with someone. lol
  6. id like to know if the players in the pics have a look and laugh at them?
  7. the best photo gallery the OS has produced in a long time IMO
  8. This one and Arizona's Asda Price are the best for me so far. Make me chuckle every time I see them.
  9. LOL'age
  10. Who is Y'all and is he a Luvvie or an Anti?
  11. what do you think the 4k is for? We will have a direct link to Southampton General Hospital with a fleet of private ambulances on standby
  12. So has this got any further? or did we give up on the idea?
  13. Allot of people manage to say things to get others backs up and IMO Stanley started the debate off with less than helpful comments that surprise surprise wind people up and get a reaction. not saying what followed was right but just think what started it wasnt helpful at all.
  14. :clappysmileyemoteythingy: And as for some peoples good advice that has been given???? :Laughingsmileyemoteythingy:
  15. After the chat room went pete tong I got no-where near the forum. just timed out to page can not be displayed everytime. Not having a moan just letting you know. I understand people are not happy but try not to take it personally even though some of the comments seem more personal than others. Im not sure what your future plans are but i use a web site guy that has access to some really good servers at some really good rates and can put you in touch with him if you wish. He may be able to help or he may not but if you want that as an option then give me a shout.
  16. Including the likes of Boyle who has been doing well so far is probably not to give them a 1st team start or a go on the bench just yet, but probably more to do with the seamless transition betwwen the acadamy and 1st team. Of all the ideas with the Dutch Experiment, the use of all of the squad training together sounds pretty good to me. Let hope that it produces a bit more than any previous systems.
  17. I can see what you mean aas if it is read how it is written its easy to think he meant more responsable than the manager, but the way I read it was Rupes see's the role as of great importance to the whole club so needs someone there that will treat it with that degree of importance as this will be the bread and butter to the club. I dont think it undermines the manager who is still the person that runs the 1st team and decideds on who to use in that 1st team. Whats the point in trying to build an acadamy that will feed our 1st team and provide much needed cashflow every now and then and just letting anyone who nows how to tie a pair of boots run it?
  18. I would say there was a reaction on the forum but it wasnt anything like a backlash. Most of it I think was more down to wrighting off certian peoples choices before it was thought about them being any good or not. Remember Lowe doesnt come up with good ideas, he forces his changes and if any of them work its out in spite of him rather than because of him So there was certainly no backlash to Wotte or anyone else and like others have said we didnt know about them until not long before GB got in so no time to have a pop either. Maybe someone in the board room feared a backlash should they appoint Lowe or SCW's choice and that info got back to Wotte? Lowe has wanted to build the team from the roots up for a long time but the manager choices havnt been ones that lend to that phylosophy so its never worked and we have lost the likes of Best and Blackstock. Maybe thats what Wotte was getting at? Im just guessing but he seems like the 1st manager (ignoring JP) that really buys into building a club from the kids up and as such we may see some of the more tallented/potentialed kids stick around for there chance in the 1st team. Other managers have definitely limited the chances of many of them and it seems Rupes has had to try and get the various managers to look at the kids. I still think he kept telling Redcrap that he would like him to look towards the acadmy more than looking for journymen loans and Redcrap threw his toys out of the pram with that cup game by sending the kids out with no real instruction, just so he could say I told you so! Wotte does seem to be more along the lines of Strachan with his direct comments. baring translation he lets everyone know where he stands and where he wants to be - the funny comments. Not everyone will like it but if he gets results to go along with the arogance then I doubt it will leave too many non believers. Time will tell.
  19. ok was gettin aheaad of myself, was thinkin more as if it was a luvie v anti match from the forum with Lowe and Crouch giving there support and local business's sponsering us all to raise money for a local charity. if that was all the case then some form of media would surly be interested and it could easily snowball into a decent event
  20. Depends if they play the Offside Rule at AFC Parkhurst?
  21. that would be funny as to get the local tv involved or radio. surly someone would be interested in doing something with it? out of interest, what does the 4k go towards? is there anyway we could get some sponsorship from any local compaines or major shareholders to take it beyond the 4k and give the extra we raise to a local charity? We could even invite Lowe to come and be the chairman of 1 team and Crouch the chairman of the other. put a bit more rivalry in it and make it more interesting for the press to get hold of?
  22. im definitely interested. think it would be a right laugh and just meeting some of the wierdos on here would make it all the more fun. just to play at SMS would be awsome IMO
  23. It depends if his mind is on the game. it obviously has been since the incodent so this shouldnt change much. im sure he has been advised on what is likly to happen so it should be no grrat shakes. If it was me I would be a mess as the thought of having to shell out money I havnt got would be a nightmare. I could do comunity service but no money means no money so i would be stuffed. What kind of comunity service do professional football players get? do the fines effect there day to day lives? only a prison sentance would really effect him and at a guess that would be a long way down the order of punishments he is likly to get should he be found guilty. So I very much doubt it will change much in the plans for the game tomorrow. If he was going to be included he probably still will be. If he is not he probably wasnt going to be anyway.
