  1. The saints decided that they wanted to start from scratch and promote their u18 academy team up and build from the bottom. Plus the southampton womens team didn't want to reintegrate with the club having been burned the last time. It basically suited both clubs to do their own thing
  2. That is what is now southampton women fc. Were their own club back in the day, merged with saints up until the Lowe years when got cut aside and still exist as their own club in the league below saints. My daughter plays for their youth team. Saints women are on a whole other level but the team they beat in pre season was the southampton women reserves. Southampton women play their home games at alresford fc and drew 2 - 2 with Exeter yesterday. A season ticket for saints women is just £15 and well worth it in my opinion. If you are a mens season ticket holder then the women's season ticket is just a fiver and kids are free. Is a very entertaining day out and pompey are in our league so a local Derby to look forward to.
  3. I didn't receive my original 9ne for my wife. Only got it after chased and was told it had previously been sent so one of your 4 might be my wife's missing one 😄
  4. Diallo's brother kind of fits our brief. Central defender who can play at full back or dm. And psg rumoured to be willing to sell. Would happily take him here
  5. I was very impressed too when requesting one for my wife. Replied to email within minutes
  6. Itchen would be being used to house the team members and staff in a more socially distanced manor too.
  7. The girls team that my daughter plays for keeps beating the boys teams of their age group, with the coaching they are getting there is no argument at grass roots level that the standard of football for girls can be compatible to that of boys. At the professional level the game is years behind the mens but that is due to the attitudes towards the game. The quality is improving all the time and there is a market for the game so I am happy to support it especially if my daughter one day can play for our beloved saints and who knows one day for england
  8. I'm a part timer. Had to give up my season ticket 5 years ago when had my daughter and realised that she was going to cost more than a season ticket. Now I have a son too so did all chance of affording a season ticket on my wages lol. I still get to a couple of games a season but accept it is unlikely I will be able to get a ticket for me or the wife and especially for my saints mad 5 year old daughter who hasn't got a customer numberb yet. But if I don't get to go I will remember how amazing it was there for the jpt. Wish safe travels to those that do go and spend the day shouting at my telly with the family
  9. I used to work with his mum. She is a lovely lady and said drew never wanted to leave but did what was right by the club as much as for his career
  10. 8 Benali
  11. Ever since we built St Marys I have been going on my own. got to know people around me but a lot of them have stopped coming over the years as we have declined. My fiance comes along when she can ut only about 4 -5 games a season
  12. allegedly one of the applicants is steve clarke
  13. does anyone think this could be result in the arrival of the dof in partnership with a zola type less experinced manager in charge?
  14. Thank you Markus for everything you did. You gave us a club to be proud of again and we will all be eternally grateful for that. The best way we can honour your commitment to us is to show the commitment we have for this club and pack the ground to the rafters the then raise the roof as we drive the team on to win the league in your honour. Rest in Peace.
  15. You are forgetting that this want the last game..... we play Eastleigh Monday night.
  16. she was fit
  17. was numbers 201 & 202. got my shirt. loving it decided against the scarf though as the white paanels actually look quite pink
  18. the last home match against them they had fencing up wither side of the car sales place to stop their fans getting at the saints fans. they also had a cordon separating the fans at Britania Road so Saints could not use it. They did it because the 1st time they came here they had 2 OB stood in the car place and about 30 pompey fans overran them trying to get at the saints fans leaving throwing stones etc. after they rioted at krap Notarf last time out you cant really blame the OB
  19. my season ticket in the kingsland is row nn and there is one row behind me befor you hit the persoex. as suck row OO is the furthest back you can go
  20. With a large proportion of fans in the kingsland being season ticket holders I dont think they would want to move. I chose the Kingsland so I could have a good view. but be away from the away fans as like to be able to watch them from afar. I think opening the itchen north would be a good idea. There would be all sorts of problems with moving the away fans down to the old family enclosure and a lot of the fans down there would not be impressed.
  21. That would be Charlton who they call Clown Town
  22. Haven't Man U or someone got a decent right back knocking about we can take on loan for a bit?
  23. although as we all really know it was his older brother and former saint Matt Mills who had trouble with his name
  24. what do people think bout this guy? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11096_5503404,00.html
