There are many ways to lower outgoings and still get a team that is capable of competing -Swansea, Doncaster, Preston, Blackpool...etc If we had gates that only dropped ~1% (FL average) instead of the 26% that has happen, it would have helped further stablise the finances.

Crouch didn't experiment with the coaching staff, at least has a connection with the fans, got on well with the staff and worked for free. I also heard he had the backing of the bank for his business plan...!

It depends whether he's having a local, general or epidural. Having a local can shorten the time up to a few weeks, depending on age! As with regards with money, I'm sure if he can do something for the club, they can contribute towards the expenses.
