  1. Kelvin Davis - Keep whatever division but expect him to go to a CCC club. Poke - Better than Forecast but that doesn't say much! Keep if other GK go only if we go down. Perry - Keep. Svensson - Keep as coach. BWP - Attitude and application stinks, get rid. Stern John - No, too expensive and getting on for a striker. Euell - Keep at much reduced wages, so will therefore go with no transfer fee to pay. Jamie Hatch - Keep if we go down. Lloyd James - Keep, getting to be a good player. Jake Thomson - Keep. Ryan Smith - No. Jack Boyle - Keep. Joseph Mills - Keep, if we stay in CCC prefer him to Molyneux. Jeffrey Imudia - Keep. Andrej Pernecky - Keep. Jamie White - Keep. Michael Byrne - keep.
  2. Why are you repeating yourself?
  3. Just to add there are two issues in this affair - the third party influence which I thought was decided on before the end of the season and the apparent tearing up of the contract which allowed Tevez to continue playing. It's the second which Sheff Utd went to (civil) court on regarding loss of earnings which only needed the judge to decide on whether Tevez's involvement in all probability helped WHU's cause to stay up. As such I don't think Warnock and the players have much of a case to get any money out of WHU... if only they beat Wigan at home! Middlesbrough case is total different so you cannot compare these two cases. But as you say it's bad for sport and will only get worse with more money at stake.
  4. NO, it hasn't happened at smaller clubs. There was a clause in the agreement that Tevez could be sold without WHU say so. THIS was the issue - third part involvement.
  5. As I said before, Dave Jones said the wage bill was a blip and it was bound to (and easy to see) the bill come tumbling down with the loss of the loans, retirements and out of contract players. Not really a hard decision, however, when it came to the replacements that's a different story (and BTW it's not about how much as Saints spent more than Swansea, Doncaster, Plymouth, Watford, Sheff Wed and Blackpool in the summer).
  6. I would'nt have minded them going if there was a reasonable replacement, but that's not really the point as we have now abandoned the policy of playing youth as much as possible. So Chez, spill the beans, how much are those three earning? Weekly or Monthly wages with any add ons will suffice compared to the likes of Gasmi, Pulis, Cork etc.
  7. Is this the blip Dave Jones talked about at the AGM? With the player loans having gone back to their parent clubs, player retirements and out of contract players not getting new ones, a financial ninny could see wages would only go in one direction (a clue: that's down). But who in their right mind would then sacrifice salaries of worthy CCC players to bring in loans and transfers, most who have hardly played, with the added 500k agent fees thinking these players would do well in a new team, new coaching set up, using new tactics with defensive frailties that have plagued the team for THREE seasons?
  8. Don't forget sorting the football staff out, the total football and the challenge for promotion (all talked about by Lowe on Saints TV).
  9. We now play the bottom 3 of that form table. We need 9 points!
  10. Not for Dowie or Adams but perhaps for Jim Gannon who's done well with little financial support and a young squad. I worry that Wotte has a bad transfer record in bringing the right type of player in and is a bit one dimensional in his approach to management (mainly his arrogance) will not last over time.
  11. I was thinking we would lose this one but now I've changed my mind. If we can get the first goal, the home crowd will turn. 3-1 to us like 7 years ago!

  13. The Championship table since Christmas dinner, pud, and the Port and Cheese: Bristol City P11 Pts 26 Doncaster P10 Pts 25 Swansea P10 Pts 19 Preston P11 Pts 19 Ipswich P10 Pts 18 Coventry City P10 Pts 18 Nottingham Forest P11 Pts 16 Sheffield United P9 Pts 15 Sheffield Wed P11 Pts 15 Birmingham P10 Pts 14 Cardiff P8 Pts 13 Watford P9 Pts 13 Derby County P9 Pts 12 QPR P9 Pts 12 Southampton P10 Pts 12 Barnsley P9 Pts 11 Reading P9 Pts 10 Blackpool P11 Pts 10 Burnley P10 Pts 9 Charlton P10 Pts 9 Plymouth P11 Pts 9 Wolves P11 Pts 8 Norwich P11 Pts 7 Crystal Palace P9 Pts 7 Not looking good Charlton and Norwich, let's hope a few others around us can drop like a stone!
  14. bottom of the page... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/club/?page_id=10729 you may need a magnifying glass though!
  15. The trouble is those that come into the Cardiff side want to do well to stay in the playing eleven. If it's the in-form players injured then we will have little excuse not to beat them.
  16. Not so much damned if they do. If only they engaged brain first and put a proposal which could be discussed rather than be dismissed as a pointless piece self promotion (as well as being a daft proposal).
  17. Is that the joke of the day?
  18. I expect this has something to do with it... "At relegation threatened Bournemouth co-owner Paul Baker, a lifelong Chester City supporter, is trying to sell his 50 per cent stake. He has admitted that he has no more money to put into the club. The Supporters' Trust have issued a highly critical statement about the financial situation at the club, in particular a plan to sell 2009/10 season tickets well in advance to raise some money. If the club goes insolvent again, fans could lose their money."
  19. Depends on the agreement with the council on what could be built there. There may have been regulations or agreements regarding retail and leisure outlets. Besides the costs would have dramatically increased from the off-the-shelf stadium we have at the moment to purpose built complex.
  20. You obviously have a problem reading complete sentences!!
  21. heart says: Cardiff (h) win Ipswich (a) lose Birmingham (a) draw Derby (h) draw QPR (h) win head says: Cardiff (h) draw Ipswich (a) lose Birmingham (a) draw Derby (h) lose QPR (h) draw Birmingham are awful under McLeish considering the quality under his disposal so a win is possible especially if it's a mid week game and only 12k fans there.
  22. now for the tricky part... name them!
  23. At least sid's staggeringly irrelevant bit of information made sense!
  24. I thought it was the execs that were working this not the three major shareholders. Can you clarify FC?
  25. ... and a decent manager (although McLeish is defying the odds so far!)
