  1. I was playing off 18 before the kids arrived, now its up to 24 :-(
  2. Oh dear, people are cashing in on the pandemic panic... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8131911.stm even a tamiflu pen (ballpoint) was sold on ebay for a £5!!!
  3. "Come on! Come on! Come on!" as Mrs Doyle said.
  4. The 10 point penalty is correct. In a way I wished we had not tried to recoup money squandered in the past by slashing the wage bill this season and having this admin issue while in the CCC. I suppose the penalty is hard to take because of that.
  5. Nice one... any idea what happen to Siberan Tiger? Not a good day for me (on here) but a few to come and bijou dan came in.
  6. Crouch cashed in on Walcott, Lowe cashed in on Bale (plus the fourth choice keeper).
  7. It probably means he hasn't got anything else in the pipeline for him to go to so this is the best deal at the moment, hardly surprising considering his career record.
  8. 4.50 Perth Siberian Tiger to pip Toshi 3.30 Catterick Summer Dancer and a long shot... Mister NY in the 7.50 Kempton
  9. **** Dipping
  10. So the cycle of hope begins again!
  11. Not unless they think the individual parts would get more...
  12. so we are limping on but it would be comforting to know what groups are left in the race and whether they are at an advanced stage.
  13. FC, this has been going on for nearly two months, SFC is solvent, just and these sales will secure that for a bit longer as it's now needs must dictating. The worst part of this protracted saga is the amount of time left to get in a decent manager and his players.
  14. did someone say something? ;-)
  15. He learned a valuable lesson which cannot be taught in a lecture! A few days later he won most of it back with a multiple bet (tri-fold I think). 3.45 Hamilton Stateside
  16. Didn't the Coventry deal go down to the wire? The game of poker still has some time to play, irrespective of the consequences it seems. Players can be replaced as can a mediocre coach. The main concern is that the club survives and then has some money to pick up some players and a good coach to not get relegated.
  17. It reminded me of a mate at college along time ago who bet his terms grant on a sure thing, about 3/1 on. It was leading and looking comfortable until he fell at the last.
  18. I use to enjoy it when it was on channel four and I was 'in' to cycling. too many other distractions now. It will be interesting to see if it drug free this year!
  19. So it's still a race: MLT "I've spoken to the [group] owner this morning and he's confirmed that once the Football League issues have been dealt with, it will only be a matter of hours after that that we can complete a deal." The administrator for Southampton said he was expecting to hear 'early next week' if talks with a Swiss consortium would lead to a buy-out of the club.
  20. Thanks for the report. BTW Pearce scored the penalty in Euro 96 against the Germans, it was in 90 World Cup when he missed.
  21. If you have a water cooler in the office, put a pin hole in the cups and watch the fun. If you have some glue like prit-stick glue some pens and pencils to the desk. The get pretty stuck if left over night. Swap a few keys around on the keyboard (actually I think someone's done that to Frank's cousin). Take the ball out of the mouse or tape over the light.
  22. Expectation grow as time went on about this rich backer, a shame they have taken so long to not quite get the deal done as the tide seems to be turning (unfortunately) because of not meeting those expectations.
  23. Fry was brought in to sell the assets of SLH, if SLH could not be sold as a going concern with some cash injection. If this can be done in a reasonable time frame all well and good. If not, with no buyer coming forward, then the individual assets would be auctioned off (e.g Jacksons farm) and then wound up.
  24. Yes Yes. Hope that helps.
