Fantastic day out, glad it didn't rain as it looked as if there were quite a few players finding the surface slippery as they kept falling over. What a way to lose my new Wembley stadium cherry with a 4-1 win. On the down side we did too much hoof ball with a weak midfield. Carlisle had some good moments but fortunately didn't have a player to unlock our defense. We took our chances and also shut them out until the end when it was really all over. Harding was great considering he was out of position, in fact all players played their part but disappointed with Mills as he played too much hoof ball.

I heard boos, but there were plenty coming for each set of fans in the build up. The biggest boos were for the Carlisle fans for not carrying on the mexican wave!

As SG is the largest unsecured creditor at around 50%, he is the key player in all this as he has the land surrounding the ground, including the skates office. Whether the "new" owner can strike a deal with him backing an approved CVA for pittence in the pound and the land is bought at an inflated price, I can see the skates getting out of this dirty great big hole. I would imagine they would still be in a mess financially as the footballing debt has to be paid in full (~£10m) and if Chainrai remains the owner he wants a profit for his troubles. Although being able to turn a £60m debt into something like a £6m + £12m for the land (so SG gets £15m) would be advantageous when there are parachute payments (2x£16m) plus player sales (£10m-£15m) to come over the next two seasons. So the questions are: How much is SG wanting for his approval of a CVA (assuming another 25% agree with him) and the land? How much money does Chainrai want to either squeeze out of the club as owner or as a secured creditor? I've probably missed a few bits and pieces as it's difficult to keep up on this thread and do work but that is my take on a possible outcome!

You're missed the points that Norwich could integrate all those new players and get to top of the league in one season, even with an early change in stewardship from Gunn to Lambert.

For me, sometimes I have check my euphoria of how the team have played on the pitch considering what has happen this season at the club, especially when you see such fantastic performances (Huddersfield, Leeds, Walsall etc) that they will not be the norm. However, expectations are there due to the expensive squad building process. It may take a bit longer than first thought but there are examples that success can be made from adversity given the right choice a club makes: If you think about what has happen to Swindon, where they lost their top striker in the summer and they only brought in a few defensive replacements. The squad as a whole was stable and has got them in the play-offs with an astute manager. On the other hand, Norwich made wholesale changes in the summer to their playing squad and sacked their manager early on, not the best for stability but they are now leading the division. There's no point dwelling on the failures if it only provides frustration and additional pressure. As long as some benefit can be made from what went wrong, the club, team and fans need to move on.

The same for Leeds where the CVA was agreed by 75.1% of creditors but then disputed by HMRC, the FL voted on whether Leeds should get points deduction for joining the League anyway, hence why Leeds went to the courts saying the punishment wasn't due. What is different now to then is the recent FL rules introduced this month where clubs need to show they have the financies in place to complete the season ahead.

Much would depend on the relationship of Baloo and the Sacha as neither can do anything without the other, land wise. And the pheonix club would be able to (hopeful) not be infected with crooks or chancers if they set it up right.

The first step is to get the FL to agree that they can join the championship as members. To do that, an agreed CVA is a recognised route, detailing how debts have and will be paid. Some how I don't think the skates will have one so there will need to be some guarantees that the club will be financially able to complete the 10/11 season, no points penalty will be imposed but a club in admin isn't likely to be able to build a squad to succeed (look at stockport). If no CVA is agreed when exiting admin that will be minus 15 points penalty, potentially more as it's their second time. I think Luton got an extra two points for it being their second administration. On top of that any financial irregularities found (surely this is beyond wishes with what has been said in the media), more points deduction will come there way, at ten I would say.
