I see one comment saying they have been punished four times for going into admin: -9 pts, £1m fine, ban from europe and relegation itself. If they are going to be that perverse I suppose they could add TCWTB, Admin Man Andy and Super Duper owner Chainrai to the list.

Well, the world of deceit and corruption of the skates needed to be told as there is no hard luck story. I try to be fair and unbiased in my comments but you should see Vastariner's - he's got it in for the club and fans big time!

One season, so if the skates decide AA is doing such a good job, he can only last a year with the club in admin. The footballing debt is tied into the golden share, so a buyer could save on £24m but most likely find he owns a Blue Square club (with matching facilities).

I'm no accountant, but surely there are legal Standard Operating Procedures to follow for filing claims and issuing of accounts so that at anytime the business knows the level of credit/debt?

I agree with those that it's not going to be easy next season, however, considering what has been achieved this season with a handicap of a slow start and -10 points we would have been challenging for automatic promotion, regardless of the odd bad result (tranmere, oldham) which occur to all teams. The only issue for next season is to manage the high expectations. For that reason I expect Saints to get promoted next season. The biggest risk to that is the lose of the manager as that can effect the squad, but we are at least in a good position to attract a manager that is just as capable as Pardew. Players can be replaced and at least we can hold out for a top end valuation for our players. I was staggered that we could attract Fonte in January when promotion was only a slim possibility so there is hope current players will stay for another season or at least decent players would be interested in joining Saints to replace those wanting to leave.

Great thanks. On a few there is an option (dial 5) to call but I assumed it would be at a premium rate but most is just a recorded message.

All the debt (including football related) is unsecured. The only way to get them off the unsecured 'list' is to pay them... something that will come out of the PL in way of income. That is my understanding anyway, happy to be corrected.

Does the TPS work with those that use a recorded message to sell/advertise things? I'm getting quite a few, obviously you can't say hold the line and leave it, and there is no option to tell them to f-off.

To obtain a CVA it's 75% of unsecured debt which includes the footballing debt. It's a seperate issue that all footballing debt is repaid as that relates to PL(?) and FL rules to gain entry to the league for the club. Also, from next season, all clubs in the FL will have to inform the FL authorities about their finances as to whether they can complete the season. Call it £55m just to pass go! They would then have to reduce costs drastically as I would expect that either the first parachute payment (or loan against it) or the £5m of TV money plus outstanding January transfer fees is currently being used to cover costs up to end of the season.

Could the cups have dented promotion this season..?
Doctoroncall replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
More recently, the points tally to gain sixth place has been around 75 points. If we don't make the play-offs and still get to the 78 point mark, it would be the first time that such a high points tally misses out of a play-off spot since the 02/03 season when 81 was required. -

I was due to fly out to San Francisco on Sunday but I cannot see that happening. I'm glad to be in this position rather than being stuck away from home, especially a far away place. All the best to those stuck out there and hope you get back soon.
