  1. Listening to away fans joyously rejoicing in our “own house” is starting to rub me up the wrong way!
  2. Pitch looks loads loads better……….unless they have done the green sand colouring in!
  3. Nope I don’t - you’re right.
  4. I saw bits of the game - as wisely Strictly Launch Show got priority on the remote - just watched the highlights to fill in some of the gaps. As a World Cup preparation England players will be enjoying the novelty of Christmas shopping and opening the advent calendar with their kids in December. Goodness knows what Southgate was watching listening to his comments.
  5. So now we will be playing against sides made up of Postmen, Milkmen, and Bank Clerks, who we will smash off the park. Whoever has the TV rights will be throwing themselves round the room burning through pallets of Kleenex as Harold Kane gets the England top scorer Badge playing San Marino, Andorra, and Faroe Islands
  6. Reading this I’m bloody glad I didn’t scour Istanbul for a bar with this on and end up drinking tea all night because I found a dry establishment. Following the game on here has been bloody grim
  7. 'Tis a strange one - would have been nice to go along and no doubt stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow subjects paying our respects, before watching a game of footie. The Queen was the embodiment of "Keep Calm and Carry On". If there was a horse race to be seen on TV yesterday afternoon as the end drew near, she would have been telling the family to get out of the way and shut up. With the Monarchy being about continuity she would probably questioned the postponement herself. 70 years in the job is something none of us nor our descendants will ever see again: it truly is remarkable. Whatever your view, she was the one constant in all of our lives, with there now being a hole of sorts the next few days are going to be rather strange, and as we are seeing on here throwing up many differing views.
  8. Brilliant sunshine and ours still seem to be on regardless.
  9. They haven’t got a Mané who has to be kept an eye on.
  10. They normally run those over the Chapel penalty box as it gets no sun in the winter, you can sometimes see where they have been as the grass is a slightly different shade of Green. Grass normally stops growing at around 7°c obviously a bit of sun helps. Not sure if the under soil heating can cheat nature should they have to relay the pitch in theWorld Cup window …………..although at present running that might substantially reduce the budget for a striker 😳
  11. Emma Hayes hinted as much on the commentary - the USA game will be a welcome reality check
  12. He’d gone into the bushes out of sight - I guess unlike Jason Puncheon he hadn’t asked the ref for permission to leave the pitch.
  13. This is taking the Piss! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62783917 I wonder where this is in the law book?
  14. Oh thanks for the reminder 😳
  15. Wow that is impressive, probably just the loan he needs to get game time under his belt. Could save us a few quid in time
  16. Of course I was being serious - you can’t post stuff and nonsense on here - the context devoid police will be all over you like a rash regardless of how many emojis you throw in. 😳 Get with the programmer Grandad! 😀😃😄😁😆😅😂😂🙃😵‍💫🤪
  17. What’s Rudi Skacel doing these days?🤪
  18. Seconded. I don't think even being cast adrift at Chelsea will add any humility to his attitude - big hullaballoo when he went to Chelsea then became a bit part player and hasn't worked out how to get himself into a better position.
  19. Don’t think Broja was ever the solution, yes he had an exciting start with us probably as he was an unknown with blistering pace, but he hit a point in the season when he dried up, some say it coincided with the Abromovic issues. Sitting in the stadium you could see teams had a plan for him, just let him run but keep pushing him out wide and he will more often than not run out of pitch. Which brings in the reason why Ralph went cold on him, he was greedy, having made break drawn defenders towards him, there was space and supporting players ready to receive the ball and more often than not he was selfish and all in it for himself ending up in cul de sac, instead of being a team player and passing for a better chance of a team goal. Ralphs preferred system is all about team work, that where things cooled with Ralph because Borja just kept on doing the same thing for himself. Adam Armstrong this season looks to have been reconfigured taking the pressure off him to score and to be more a provider of assists - there is no doubt he is quick and can play football. Broja Tuesday night, he turned on the jets just after he came on - Salisu ran him out of pitch. I think already with the guys who have come in we look a different prospect, our tempo has been better, once settled we could get goals from most positions instead of relying on one person.
  20. Thats even worse! 🤣🤣😂
  21. 🤪Thats what I said 4 centre backs playing 2 in front of the other 2 = 4 🤪 (Emojis are pants on my laptop - to punctuate the point of me silly - better on iPad) 😁😇🔴⚪️🔴⚪️😇
  22. I think our little adventure with him last year, turned out to be a try before you buy. I hope not
  23. Whats the plan ditch the 5 at the back and play 6 at the back now - we are talking about a lot of centre back possibly incoming - I know our defence had more holes in than a sieve seems a bit excessive.......................................................or are we being radical and planning 2 banks of CB's at the back (yes I'm being silly............ but we did have our resident nutter playing at 10 on Saturday). ...sorry @skintsaint I was typing as you posted
  24. Always liked the caption someone put to this - JWP "go on Jack! I'll hold your coat". He's done alright for us, and fair play to himself he has done well for himself, but one thing he is top of the league in, is shithousery. He couldn't give a monkeys how big a name he is winding up. Said it before, League cup final going toe to toe with Ibrahimovic after skirmish in our box, was a highlight of the afternoon. Looked like the conversation was from Jack "If you want a shotat the title lets go for it here and now big man" and Ibrahimovics reaction seemed to be - maybe I should go and play with someone else. The big important question now though is - who is going to be the Chair of the players fines appeals committee, last I heard he never overturned one appeal.
