  1. Blimey there is pot of they hidden in the kitchen having the drinking munchies that it quite a tempting midnight snack. Back to the subject at hand: Pigs in blankets without doubt Too many roast spuds so you can eat them cold later Christmas Pud with one of those brandy laced creams (that my Dad adds to) Got to have money in too Without doubt Sprouts with Pannacetta and Chestnuts................. The active ingredient when blended with Turkey to ensure a gale warning is issued around about half 3 - 4 o'clock! Paarrrrrrrrp! Merry Christmas
  2. Just heard on the Radio London that the congestion charge is suspended from tomorrow right the way through to the 4th Jan, when I swear that's what they just said......I thought that's very nice of Boris.
  3. Where was Mike Reed to say "I have just taken a look at this cover, take a look at this cover! I am not playing this: sorry!". A week ago thus propelling them to number 1 by manufacturing a network ban.

    Sloe Gin

Just hope we have a good Sloe season again like this last autumn, as for your tree plant a couple just incase you get one that does not fruit. We had 2 in our garden that were self setters both were fruitless.
  5. I have to say that it is complete cobblers that this thread is still so high up in the posts list ( yes I know that I have not helped with this) so many folks have to pull their heads out of their backsides and give one of the most promising young English managers a chance. Some folks need reminding that Sir Alex was on his last chance and now Man U are a team we would all like Saints to emulate. We are in league one partly because of the revolving door policy with managers. Get off Adkins back
  6. Get a long stick with a couple of bags tied to the end a brush it off!! ;-)
  7. Bonanza is regularly on one of the Sky channels in the evenings, I often spot it while scanning through. My choice to come back: The Herbs Hectors House The Clangers
  8. It's just no fun driving these days. Another speed camera to look out for, seems strange to see another new one when the Gatso ones appear to be being taken away, the most effective one does appear to be the Average Speed Cameras through roadworks, surprised they are not rolling more of those out: lots of them on A roads in Nottinghamshire.
  9. Blimey that's a shocker at 64. Condolences to his family especially so close to Christmas. I only thought of him the other day as I followed a TWR Jaguar. Those Le Mans wins with Jaguar were very impressive as with Ross Brawn they formulated a strategy that had them going backwards down the field at the start of the race, but as everyone racing at Le Mans knows you can be the fastest car on the track but you have to be still running when the flag falls.
  10. I think the way he fired The Brand highlighted the cobbler Lord Sugar knew he had dropped firing Liz. Stella gets my vote Sunday night. Just as an aside I thought Ms Brady looked very pleasing on the eye in the "Your Fired" show on BBC 2.
  11. If it ain't snow a frozen pitch will probably scupper us, bit of shame if it does succumb to the weather. If it does survive they will be doing a roaring trade in Bovril!
  12. I thought that he looked like a 1st team regular in the JPT final, he has always impressed when he is given a run out. My Daughter will be please he's back, bit upset when he was sent out on loan....................... No idea why?!
  13. Do you think he goes home to his palatial abode after a busy day at Staplewood sits in a large imposing chair and strokes a white cat sat on his lap with a rye smile on his face?
  14. If he is,that is a damn fine example of Hypermiling.
  15. What about being sat at the busier Saints games where new faces occupy the normally empty seats and then talk insessecently about everything but the game we are watching, then when they do comment about the game can only spout a load of cobblers, then return to their ramblings about Fred's bunions. We once had a couple of old birds who were doing their knitting chatting about Mrs Miggins down the road, the only time they put their mouths into neutral when a Saints player strayed into the oppo's penalty box.
  16. I always enjoy a glass or two of red wine especially in the summer when I can stoke up a Cigar to accompany at the same sitting, of a special occasion I like nothing more that cutting the end off a Cohiba, Fidels first choice brand.
  17. Thanks to a great Beef Wellington from a cracking butcher in Marlborough accompanied by a very pleasant Cote du Rhone thankfully I am in a state of mind that numbs me from the pain that is the X Factor, that the miss us and tin lids enjoy. That said Mary whatsit is the only high point most weeks.
  18. His Ice Hockey playing Brother Hakka is much more famous!
  19. Well I think it's a great tie as we have friends down the road who hail from them parts, so until the game there will be a bit of friendly banter from us down to the kids in both families.
  20. Did you not read on to Thursday!!?? and I am off for a weekend on Friday so I do not want a load of the white stuff.
  21. Perhaps he read my comments the other day on here and decided to prove me wrong, which he did today. In reality I expect NA had a word because he did play much better today than he has in more recent games.
  22. http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/11 Ha Ha to all of you numpties who had your hats scarves gloves on a few weeks ago when it was 15c, where in your wardrobe do you have left to go when the Mercury hits 1C on Tuesday night.
  23. Nope can't think of nowt!!
  24. There was a moment in todays game when the ball was heading to the posh goal line, there was a Posh player pursuing it with Rickie in hot pursuit yu saw him look over his shoulder and in the next second it was if he thought " cripes Rickie Lambert is breathing down my neck, lets just launch this into the stands" = a throw in deep in there half.
