  1. Although a tad late, has this been touted on the Gas fans website? As I would imagine that with cut backs Bristol Children with Heart conditions would more than likely be sent to Southampton, so regardless of shirt colours they should be encouraged to sign too.
  2. Jumping on the thread deviation band wagon, when I was at School there was a notorious School in Basingstoke full of mental cases, my school was out in the country. One day this school played our School at Rugby ( sorry to swear) they turned up all we are hard and you are country half wits, they left at full time on the bus quick smart with their rugby kit still on. Strangely when you met that schools pupils in town afterwards and they tried to intimidate you, when they found out what school you went to strangely they would become very wary................ Thankfully.
  3. +1 Tell us, do!
  4. I must have inadvertently found the rational filter in error! Having flicked through all 3 pages the moaners and wrist slitters seem to missing. Most of the posts seem to be quite level headed........................ Like the team we have been knocked on our backsides, so lets dust ourselves down and climb back on. As for Rochdale they have had good momentum for the last 2 seasons, and are on a charge of their own.
  5. What a load of cobblers Rochdale are no push over. The lads just need to dust down and start again. Come on Saints
  6. Whats this? site going slow cos all the miserable moany buggers have logged on for a moan.
  7. Forte seems like he just gave the afterburners a light to defend
  8. We keep knocking but it won't go in..................
  9. Bugger! I am no longer cool! Having lost 5 stone I am only 2/3's cool now when it's warm enough for 3/4 lengths.
  10. ^ | Nope would never do it!!
  11. Anything is possible in Football: they have just lost their captain for the next 3 games for a straight red. They know that 3 points has them over the finish line promoted, there alone are 2 little triggers that could cause anything to happen in the minds of their players till the end of the season. I have a mate who has been a Blackpool fan all his life, earlier this season the chat was that they only needed 4 wins to almost certainly secure another season in the prem, I said getting through 30 points would be a hurdle, then from 35 to 40. Now what looked like a breeze of a hurdle with games to spare is a massive wall for them............ How Brighton view the final hurdle we will just have to wait and see: I can't see them stumbling, Poyet (who made Wise look better than he proved to be in management) will not let it happen.
  12. I think many of us with Saints scars are like this, although not quite as nervous. I always felt that supporting Saints sets you in good stead for the up's and downs of life in general. At the moment whilst enjoying the bus trip, one eye is constantly on the road ahead looking for the nail destined for the tyres! That's what happens when you live through the longest slow motion car crash in history, from relegation from the prem until the takeover.
  13. I am quite happy we do not get mentioned too much, I much prefer to lurk under the radar without the pressure of the media hulla-balloo. Get into second dig in and stay there.
  14. Bale's look like callipers (not to be taken the insensitive way).
  15. Jaidi for me, once again he had his cameo "I can do this........ This ........ This too........ I'm very good at this.......... And hey watch this little trick!" couple of minutes in the latter stages in the second half. The bloke is gold plated!
  16. Few lads in front of us were not too impressed with him: when he slotted the second they were on their toes for the exit in disgust!!
  17. Had someone kick my Achilles a few years back chuffin hurt for weeks! Although the only difference was I was not "shut down as a precaution". I liked that line, it's almost like the dressing room at SMS is now dressed like the Nebuchadnezzar in The Matrix!!
  18. The bloke deserves a Knighthood!!!
  19. The bloke is a Giant Redwood in our defence, and every game recently we have been treated to the Radhi Jaidi show with all his tricks and skills. When you see the array of players in our team Raidhi is the one player who increasingly puts a smile on your face. Last night when he chased that poor Charlton player to the Northam corner, the poor chap must have felt that he was being hunted down by a Bear.
  20. I could settle for a tad less! Forte's loopy 2 minutes whipped up the crowd for the remainder of the game capped with Barney slotting the winner..................... I was buzzing for ages on Saturday evening: Not the best for a work night!!
  21. +1 Some folks must be watching another game Butterfields crossfield balls consistently find a Saints player, invariably bringing the crowds favourite, Lallana into play in space created by the sudden switch of play. Fonte (who many accuse of hoofing aimlessly) try's the same ball and normally over plays it, that's why knowing this Fonte passes the ball to Butterfield to execute the pass instead of him. Butterfield might not be the most glamourous of players, but it always comes back to Lawrie Mac's team analogy: "A good team is made up of roadsweepers and Violinists".
  22. Arsenal are getting a statue of Quiz show favourite Jim Bowen complete with his famous strapline "Look what you could have won!?".
  23. Surprised that a recent song sang by many in SMS about our then chairman swinging from a local bridge has not seen his name included in the list so far.
