Rudi Skacel played in 16 consecutive games before the Barnsley game when Molyneux came in at left back and was suspended against Doncaster. He missed out on the Norwich and Swansea games trying to get a move to a German club. He'll play if Wotte wants him to.

From what I can work out, Davies never went to Norwich in the end. That might change in a few days when Football League clubs can bring in "emergency" loans however.

We aren't in the Premiership any more so the rule put in place after the Tim Howard transfer wouldn't count. We're governed by Football League rules. As far as I know, players can play against their parent club unless the loan agreement forbids it. I'm sure you remember the Chris Lucketti situation last year when he was given the choice of whether he would play against Sheffield Utd or not.

When did McGoldrick get his 4th goal ? As far as I'm aware, Lallana scored the winner at Derby meaning that McGoldrick hasn't scored in our last 5 league games. It's not as if he's looked like scoring that often either.

Kyle Davies is one of the CBs in our reserve team. He played a few times in pre-season and looked promising if very raw.

Blackstock got 6 goals in 35 games in all competitions last season. He got 14 the season before. HTH.

I remember Jason Dodd whacking the ball in from about 30 yards in a game in the mid 90s that was disallowed because Iain Dowie was in an offside position. I can't remember who it was against but I'm sure we lost by the odd goal. The goal would never have been disallowed with the current interpretation of the offside rules.

That scoreline still makes me cringe. 75 minutes of an equal contest followed by the worst 8 minutes of supporting Saints I've ever had the misfortune to endure

How does it coincide well with the last NP team ? There are only 5 players in both starting 11s.

I believe the Premier League implemented that rule after the David Busst injury but it's not the same in the Football League.

Too many CBs ? Where do you get that stat from ? We've got Perry, Davies, Thomas, Lancashire and Svensson. All are experienced at Prem/CCC level. Lancashire has never played a single minute of league football and is injured (again), as is Davies. Svensson hasn't played any league football for well over 2 seasons. Wotton would be the next in line in an emergency but hasn't played CB very often in the CCC. If the last 2 seasons have shown us anything it's that you need 5 or 6 players capable of playing CB. There will inevitably be times when we have 2 or 3 missing through injury and suspension at one time. I recall a couple of games in the Premiership when we had to resort to playing Dodd and Benali at CB because all our recognised CBs were injured or suspended.
