Smallbone has not played all season for the Under 23's - presumably injured. Maybe Slattery will get a game tonight instead of JWP.

As a supporter of 55 tears standing I thought I had seen it all but that utterly shambolic performance last night was quite extraordinary. Take nothing away from Leicester who were sharper, faster and played very well. Having said that, we gave them the time and the space to do so. A defeat of this magnitude happens once in a generation to most teams (I hope - with back to back fixtures to come against City who knows). We all know the reason why we are in this mess - and its not the manager - but how we react will be the real test of the manager and players. The long term future for the team - indeed for the club - is difficult to predict.

I have always liked Alfie and although he mainly plays at centre back for us I think that he has played in midfield for us in the past. I believe that he is on a season long loan at Gillingham so would not be able to return to us until next season.

What has happened to Smallbone, does anyone know? Played most of the preseason matches but not been seen since - not even in the U-23's.

Surely if Cedric was fit to play he would have been on the bench at least and we would not have gone into the match with only 5 outfield subs. On that subject, was Adams not in the 18 matchday squad?

I agree with that totally, but would say that if Cedric is injured, loses form or throws a wobbly bring in Valery and don't mess around with square pegs.

Still showing on OS - Squad No 42. I thought he was a great prospect and always played well for the Under 23's. He also had two good loans last season. The silence is deafening.

Very pleased with the signings. Che Adams looks a player and whilst they are young, Moussa and Danso seem to have the right credentials. Possibly a defensive midfielder would be useful in January. There were stories a week or two back that we were signing a wonderkid from Reading (Diamond Edwards) for the youth teams but that does not seem to have materialised.

New photos of the players on the OS in new kit. Austin and Lemina still listed in the First Team squad but Vokes omitted. Austin positively beaming - in an ironic way!

Jake Hesketh and Kayne Ramsey have not featured at all.

Whenever I see Moi play I think to myself that no one can be that bad. He came with a good track record - surely he can't be that bad - can he?

I have only seen Alfie Jones play 'live' a few times and I feel that he has great potential but as others have said his development has appeared to have stalled. From what I have seen, I think that Klarer has overtaken him and could be fast-tracked to the first team squad. For that reason loaning Alfie for the season could kickstart his career. A very important season for him.

Always liked Matt Targett and personally I thought he never let us down when he played and he always gave 100%. Having seen Vokins play on several occasions I can understand why we are selling Matt and I endorse the good wishes of others.

No one has mentioned Mo Elyoumossi as being on the exit list. He came with a good reputation but to say he failed to deliver would be a massive understatement. Surely he can't be that bad - maybe be will be a revelation this season. After all many wrote Redmond off this time last year. Maybe I am clutching a straws.

I am sure I read somewhere that there would be an overhaul of the coaching staff. Presumably the comment that "the management and operations will remain unchanged" means that this will not now happen. Disappointing.

I would guess that it was a loan because the deal was done at the very end of the transfer window and it would have been quicker to set up a loan than a full transfer with only minutes left before the window slammed shut.

Freeman seems something of a mystery. I think he is a left back that we signed from a Scottish club (Dundee?) a couple of years ago. He does not seem to have played at all yet we are apparently offering him a new contract.

I have no idea if our interest in Jansson is true or fake news. However I was talking to a friend of mine this evening who is a long standing Leeds fan. He rates Jansson as the best centre back they have had since the glory days of Jack Charlton & Co.
