Rileys (with a 3 metre screen, managed by Lee, ex landlord of the Alfred) the shield and dagger and the kings arms, my local, are the 3 I know of in Shirley
-
If that's the case can the mods please remove the post. Just a heads up but wouldn't want to cause offence.

Peter has undergone a heart bypass op, now waiting for a defibrillator to be fitted. Get well soon sir

Svetoslav Todorov @HarryHaskettPFC If Bournemouth have goal music, they may as well leave the whole song on repeat for 90 minutes

Was a top bloke, leaving 3 young kids, all under 10. If anyone would like to donate to his family a paypal account has been set up (ripkevsadler@hotmail.co.uk). Nothing to do with me, but thought it a nice touch.

The Kings Arms in Shirley show all Saints games and, I have been told, the brickies in Wimpson Lane, Millbrook too

I got 18/1 on Plymouth to win by 4+ goals earlier at ladbrokes. That dropped to 7's within a couple of minutes, now best in that market is Plymouth to score 3.5 goals + at 13/2. Correct score might be the way to go with small stakes! http://sports.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/football/english/plymouth-v-portsmouth-e216264924#

within a minute or 2 of going out last night the telly was off and "we're Premier League" echoed through my local, so for the vast majority there it is definitely club before country!

How about to the alouette tune? Morgan Schneidelin, Morgan Morgan Schneiderlin, Morgan Shcneiderlin, Morgan Schneiderlin. Even I'd remember the words!

Before the game The Park Inn and then the Angel, after the Alfred, Yates, Encore then the Park Inn until late. What an amazing day. Head is throbbing now mind!

haven't smoked for over 4 years, 35-40 a day before that and had tried to give up on numerous occasions. I never actually packed up for a year in my mind, didn't think of myself as a non-smoker, just that every time I was desperate for a smoke, I just thought, I can have one, but I'll wait 5 minutes. Within those five minutes the craving had gone and my mind had moved to other things. On this basis, and knowing I could if I REALLY wanted have a smoke, I found it surprisingly easy to stop

43 from the Warren, first home was Mick Channons testimonial, May 3rd 1976. Can't remember the game, can remember queuing from down Hill Lane to get in though, and sitting on my dads shoulders to watch. Was a regular with him after that, me sat on the wall of the cage under the west after that. Cheers dad, happy times. First Saints game away from the Dell was the 79 league cup final, cannot recall my first real away!

You must of been freezing!

Can't edit! Cannot remember what the occassion was, maybe just a preseason friendly, but Bally went over there for the summer iirc, played and managed them. Game ended with a strange shoot off, outfield players started at halfway then had 10 seconds or something to score.

Saints played v Alan Ball's Vancouver Whitecaps one year in the early 80's

Will be off to see Bill in a few minutes, works behind the bar at the Park(Friday and Sundays), though he's been on the wagon for a few years, still the life of the party. Has some great stories to tell, though as others have mentioned his jokes are awful! He is stewarding one of the coaches for the skates game too, so some of you will hear how bad those jokes are!

The day Benali gave John Fashanu a flying lesson! A great day out. Plenty of cuts and bruises for me over the years, cracking my head a few years ago at Villa Park when Paul Rideout equalized is one the springs to mind.
