I think they have - in the car park that I use there was a Bournemouth taxi empty and parked up!!

I joined many drinking their pint outside yesterday, when I fancy a pint before the game I prefer to pay the Alfred prices than those inside the ground. It serves its purpose for someone like me is not a hardened drinker.

On a committee of our works social club trying to arrange details for a BBQ, one guy said that as it was in an area with no cover if it rains on the day we could hold it the week before.

If this is your original work, may I have your permission to spread message this far across the land - as in texting all my mates...brilliant!

After today's result let's hope Forest don't start their improvement until after our next home game.

I know it's too late to add to the speculation for this season - but what are your thoughts on the mascot prize winning shirt design entry on the OS. Although the sketch is pretty basic but at the hands of our talented kit designers I think there could be some mileage in the design for next seasons' home shirt. After all the future is 'white and red'! COYR..WLOW (Come On You Reds..With Lots Of White)

Included in last weeks' championship team of the week (something our idolised Jose/Jack or Rickie didn't achieve) and played very strongly Midweek. Not sure how much more he needs "to step up" to satisfy some of our fans.

As we are not playing the multi-ball system this year the pressure is off them anyway

Connolly doesn´t like the "back from the dead song"

Why does he have to have a chip on his shoulder - it was mildly amusing the first time and only the first time. If the guy doesn't like it why can't we respect that and change to something else, it's not as if he's an ex-skate and should be persecuted because of it! Get behind our own players don't p8ss them off.......unless your initials are JP -
As the saying goes' you can only beat what's in front of you'. Did we manage the game making time on the ball or did Barnsley trot around not picking our players up? I don't know as I wasn't there, but it sounds like they went for it at the end and our 10 men stood up to be counted especially when Kelvin was down. We eventually took a very energetic Torquay apart with what some would describe as a second team, but presumably playing in the same style. Possibly the question should be - playing all these poor teams and winning will we become too complacent and be unable to step up when we meet the super teams in this league?

"Back to Cortese what has he actually achieved that anyone else couldnt? Promotion from league 1, that was expected as a bare minimun with our resources we should have won it. O and the JPT, a trophy that only 2 leagues enter big ******* whop. Already ****ed off the national media and some of our greatest players, it will all turn sour its just only a matter of time. Watch this space. Is it me, but didn't NC provide those resources in the first place? We lost out on winning the league by 3 points and what would have happened if we had won the league?....yes that's correct we would have been promoted. So the difference between being 1st and 2nd is? Prefer not to abusive but I concur with most on here about the OP being a somewhat attention seeking 'individual'

I know we are further south than Manchester, but are we that much closer to his family in S. America? And at 2 games a week he'd be jet lagged beyond belief keep going home in between games - though with the quality we've got he might not play every game.

FFS it's 12:30am - why aren't you tucked up in bed?

I've decide to make it 72 - although if The Colonel can't go now it's back to 71.

I didn’t go on Saturday. I didn’t go because of the price. I didn’t go because the club never phoned me up personally and asked if I would like to go. I didn’t go because it was not in the echo till Thursday night. I didn't go because I couldn't spare 6 hours out of my Saturday I must be a better fan than you because I am going to the W.Brom game

Wasn't he recently "over the moon" because he signed a new contract? Why do people still post drivel about unrest on the bus.
-
Are you sure you are on the forum of the right club? If you care to read one or two other threads on here you find that we still need to sign another 5 players yet.

I hope there are good photo's of it when it is released - I don't want to be caught out again after changing my mind about the home kit
-
My reaction - even voted on day 1 (I'm one of the 46 against it) but after seeing the photo of Barney holding one - I quite like it Official photographer - OUT!!
-
He's off deffo....not modelling the new kit - must be a sign.

Just very underwhelmed

Mine's a simple story, I supported our local Southern league team in the 60's ( Blue Square as it's known now - wish the team wasn't known by another name now tho'). Listened to the West Ham cup quarter or semi -final v. Manure on the radio one Saturday afternoon and started following them (before the World cup trio got themselves really famous). But for some unknown reason I started looking for the Southampton result each week as well. I lost interest in the game in the 70's, stopped playing and settled into life of.. well doing family stuff, had kids and eventually moved to the New Forest. When my boy got to around 12/13 he started going to Saints games with his mates, home and away. Me and his Mum split up and I started to do more 'Dad' things with him, like taking him to watch Saints v. West Ham one Monday night in something new called the Premier League. I went in to the ground 60/40 pro W.Ham and came out 100% pro Saints and have never looked back.... although I have to admit to being one of those that boycotted the season of Lowes' return. I did go to the Burnley game to see what may have been our last ever home game of the Championship, so Marcus I thank you and in Nicola I trust.

Gobern wasn't 'released', his contract was up, we offered him a new one which he declined and then signed for someone else. He figured more prominently in the second half of the season, to some probably more than his skill levels demanded. But the manager and therefore the club thought that he could do a job for us and his leaving should not be used as a stick to beat SFC with.
