I wonder if the future could see the two midfielders being Hoj and Lemina, will be a tough decision leaving out Romeu and Davis but they will move the ball quicker

Mitrovich ?

Finish above Everton. 6th to 9th Exciting football is what I really want, more shots more goals

I Rate him very highly and Koeman has built the team around his strengths. But I also love the way he always demanding better from those around him, he directs the attack and I think cajoles the best out of Mane and Tadic. He is also first to get in there and protect the younger lads in an incident. This is a real experienced pro we are getting best out of. You do really have to see a game at the stadium to appreciate a lot of what he does watch him after the ball has gone he never stops for 90 mins. Still wished we had kept Ricky though as I am concerned he plays too many games and stays on to long sometimes for 31 year old

Sky Sports Sunday Suplement 'Saints would sell Pelle if they could'
pezza replied to Bensfcno1's topic in The Saints
This hysteria in the press about us selling everyone is just ridiculous. Last was a bit of an exception as players were clearly unsettled by the Cortese, Pochetino issues, but nobody begrudged Lambert going possibly should have been stronger with Lovren and Lallana but they both engineered their move and financially we did very well, Chambers I question. But this year I cannot see what the board has done wrong, Clyne was entering the last year of his contract and it looked as if he was exercising his right not to sign a new contract for whatever reason and we did the standard thing all clubs do and took the money whilst we could. As for Schneiderlin they had promised he could go and he gave his all last season, if we had stopped him this time would he of this season ? I also think this could a terrible message to give young talented players we are trying to attract. As for this Pelle debate works really hard for the team he occupies defenders and if we have width this creates room and opportunity for others he has good touch but is could be a better finisher. A real team man and is the first to step in and stick up for the youngsters, much rather he was in our team than against us !! -
The Brazil v England game in the 1970 world cup is still the best international match I have ever seen. Would have liked to have seen the 1970 Brazil v the 1974 Dutch, what a game that would have been !!
-
I think he is a tremendous prospect, reminds me of a young Claude Makalele, reads the game well, breaks up play, brave and gets the ball to the more creative quickly. England have been desperate for this type of player for years. Big future !!

Sorry Sneijder
-
Scheijder would be a nice addition, what a player !!

To put this in context guys we have had a great start as we did last year and are having a tricky patch, as we did last year. I maybe wrong but I think it's maybe because we are basically the same team with no more depth than we had last year just a few different players. We have replaced those who left with great alternatives and shrewd buys but to have really kicked on we needed to buy all those players whilst hanging on to what we had. That would have given us the squad to move on. As it is I think we all hope the squad will get bigger and better either in Jan or next year without losing to many. But I maybe wrong its just an opinion.

I was expecting to see Jay Rod on the bench by now, whats happening hear?

Watched the game in Barbados, cheered me up no end after two days of the s**ts. Thought the whole team was great although Davis could do with some finishing practice that's at least two clear chances he has missed but hey ho. Back in time for Saturday and 3 more points !!

I think they should not let any of the youngsters go, they all have the benefit of long term contracts, they are breaking into the international sides. They are not going to switch off because they would get dropped from their national squads they are not so established that they would still get picked. The board need to just say no they are on contracts !!

Maybe I am just consoling my disappointment here but when I reflect back on the season we played some of the best I have ever seen at Southampton and I was very proud to go to games especially away and support a team that was also admired by most other fans as well. But when I reflect back I cannot recall, and I am happy to be corrected, MoPo making those amazing tactical changes and substitutions when things were not going right and I am wondering whether he did not have a plan B or it was the restrictions of the squad. We always started games fantastically well but did not always finish well and lost and drew a few games that we really should have won. Maybe a new manager will have that ability, I do like the look of Yakun.

anyone had an acromioclavicular joint resection
pezza replied to Viking Warrior's topic in The Lounge
I would recommend you give a call to a physio who works at Bournemouths ground called Dave Mott, he really is good. I have just had a hip replacement, 8 weeks ago, and I did a load of pre op work with him on a Galileo vibration plate to give my quads and gluts more strength, he had me walking without any aids at all in less than 3 weeks and back to work in 4. Have a read on the internet about an ice machine called a game ready that was developed for the England rugby squad Dave can hire you one and you will be amazed with the results it helped me get rid of all the swelling inside a week which speeded up everything, there is a shoulder wrap in the kit. Good luck !! -
anyone had an acromioclavicular joint resection
pezza replied to Viking Warrior's topic in The Lounge
I have, on my right shoulder and as I am right handed it did not take to long to get back swinging a club, left would have been worse. Seem to remember is was about six weeks -
I am of an opinion that Shaw is as good Baines right now and maybe better at picking when to get forward and not to. I also think both of our right backs are better than Johnson and Walker the two first choices for England, they both have the positional sense of a flip flop and leave the distinctly average England centre halves, whoever plays, exposed. I thought Clyne had the potential to be as good as any full back I had seen for years but Chambers has all the same potential and I am not sure who is best
-
I think Bony would great for us he is improving every game and looks like he could be very good, like Welbeck but will compete with J Rod not take over from Lambert as he becomes an impact sub. But on reflection Welbeck and J Rod could potentially be a very awkward day for a lot of centre halves !!!

Saints players to make the England world cup squad
pezza replied to stockbridge_saint's topic in The Saints
I personally think both Clyne and Chambers are better than Johnson and Walker. England do not have good enough centre halves to have a RB with the positional sense of a flip flop and the concentration span of a fruit fly like Johnson and Walker. -
I am really struggling to understand all this rubbish I am hearing from people about Lambert not playing well. I listened to a couple of numptys going on about it at the villa game behind. I didn't play football to a great standard only ever played at conference level but I do know enough to know that he is playing as well as ever this season, his positional play the amount of work he is doing and THE SPACE he creates FOR THE TEAM is exceptional. His assist stats are great and he is helping the team, just get to match and watch him properly and you will see!!!
-
Couldn't agree more utter tripe !!!!
-
I got it, amazed in got through the banks firewall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You do not have to be world class to play international football especially for England, you need to do a job that makes a team function better and I think Rickie does that. Of course he is not a Ibrahimovic but from what i have seen so far he has helped england to work in a system tat seemed to work. Lets wait and see against a better team but in my view the england players seem to function better with a system they have grown up playing and not trying to play like spain which they have not
