Bristol Build Up / Teams / Predictions
brianoneils slidingtackle replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Ive checked the stats and they are getting just over 7000 on average this season, which is only about 50% of the stadium, so no where near sell out at any game.. The highest gate they have had is 8,000 !!! -
Bristol Build Up / Teams / Predictions

This is a big game for Bristol Rovers, with an average home attendance of just 7,000 it will be like playing at Wembley for them (same for most of the teams this year) so they will be well up for it. All the same I will go for a narrow Saints win of 1 -0 in front of a crowd of 19 - 20,000 -
I Hope for the best, remember Ron's playing for Saints very well,
-
Anybody notice that Plymouth's attendance today was less than 15,000, they actually gave away over 10,000 free tickets to students and under 18's, but still only got 15K..Disgusting, what with Pompeys attendance as well, shows what good support Saints can muster bottom of div 1 with -points.

Still laughing at pompey result, 24 hrs after the event. hehehehe :-)

S h i t e !!!!!

I'd settle for a penalty, we could have more points than pompey this evening....
-
But we have to score !!!
-
Cmon the Saints, 3 points would do nicely thanks
-
I'm loving this pompey trouble, how many turned up today at Notarf Krap :-)
-
I'm 51 but Saints make me feel twice that age :-)

King Alfred trouble
brianoneils slidingtackle replied to Sold To The Man @ The Bar's topic in The Saints
to be fair when I passed the KA a saints fan was shouting at them to go away as they'd already had one kicking and that to stay around would invite another one (but not in so many words) The Yeovil fans chose to stay and mouth off a bit more, so I really dont have a lot of sympathy for them, it was quite tame compared to the running battles down Hill Lane to the station in the 70's..... -

Very effective art work, a lot better than the graffiti thats sprayed over the place, southampton club badge at the far end looks slightly dodgy though !!

King Alfred trouble
brianoneils slidingtackle replied to Sold To The Man @ The Bar's topic in The Saints
From my point of view as I was walking past the Alfred about 6 yeovil fans already with bloody noses and mouths were climbing over the railing to get away, they then turned and started gobbing off to everyone, especially a young fellow in a green shirt, by this time Saints "fans" had caught up with them and started kicking and punching, one yeovil fan went down and about 3 -4 saints "fans" layed into him kicking his head etc, A couple of the Saints fans ended up cuffed and arrested by the law, the remaining yeovil fans were then escorted by the boys in blue up the road... Why dont they station coppers by the Alfred, it seems to kick of there every game now. is it because the away fans are welcome before the game, and then they go in there after the game when there is a different set of customers looking for the trouble !! -
You have your prioritys all wrong...start as you mean to go on !!

we are going to hammer this cider swilling, straw sucking, tractor driving, inbred bunch of yokels, at least 1 -0 :-), (if not we will either draw or loose) -
I'm happy with a 1 -1, I expected to get hammered in this game and Im happy to be wrong again :-)
-
Charlton to win quite easily I'm afraid. ( I hope Im wrong though)
