What !!!!!!!!! -
Thin end of the wedge Im afraid, all the clubs living beyond their means are going to come a cropper, I notice that Southend are saying that the banks are not lending money anymore.. what about Chelsea, Man U etc who owe millions and are in debt much more than Southend. Shame about Southend though..

Players That The Old Gits Talk About :)
brianoneils slidingtackle replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Brian O'neil (hence the name) I think he had a race horse with Mick Channon, called Cathy Jane after their wifes.... but what a player, 100% commitment, mad as a box of frogs as well... -
ive giving up predicting scores for a while, Im never right :-(

Really feel for Ron, my thoughts are with him. What a player Ron was, it would be great to see him at St Marys to get the applause from the Saints fans that he deserves. I consider myself very lucky to have watched him play at a time when footballers werent the overpaid stars they are now.

Thanks for the information. Sounds very positive for tacking the spirit out to competitive matches.

How many Oldham tickets did we get?
brianoneils slidingtackle replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
Oldhams average attendance this season is only 4,500. With about 700 + Saints fans it should be easy to outsing the home fans (if there are any) :-) -

shouldnt be a problem to get tickets on the day, just wait until the Travel Club arrive and get the returned tickets. I have been told to pick mine up from the ticket office in Oldham -
Just got mine online, very good pricing policy by Saints, very impressed, we should have over 10,000 for this match even if its on TV.

I will most probably pay on the day.. I've gotta clear it with the missus first :-( -
Are football fans getting too middle class and up their own rear end, I notice that spurs fans are trying to get chelsea fans banned for singing anti Jewish songs, (considering they call themseleves the Yids)is this how far we have become too precious. as few years it was considered fair game to have a go at anybody and everybody. Now we have to watch our P's and Qs every game. While i wouldnt like to see racist chants return I feel that we are trying to get any atmosphere banned from the stadium, clubs will be handing out sanctioned hymm sheets next.

Lets rig another vote....

all 10 positions selected, imagine a full team of MLT !! -
I'll be turning up, dont wanna miss a goal fest do I :-)

Bugger Pompey, wouldnt miss them at all, OK, there might be some "Saints" fans who wouldnt welcome their demise, but I have had nothing but trouble with their fans, they are not even able to be civil outside a match environment, even my sister in Petersfield takes abuse from these so called fans at her work place. The sooner the rotten club dies the better. I remember the seventies when they were last going bust, with bucket collections and sponsorship of square yards of krap notarf and players (before this was commonplace), it was a pity they didnt dissapear then..
-
On another matter heres H Harry Redknapp dismissed any notion that he was about to leave Tottenham after odds tumbled on him becoming the first Premier League manager to lose his job this season. Bookmakers slashed odds on Redknapp leaving White Hart Lane from 50-1 to evens at one point despite the manager having led Tottenham to their best start for 50 years.

prior to the last couple of seasons when they have been above us in the league I was hardly aware of their existance, the only time I had anything to do with pompey was "friendlies" and when their fans used to come to the dell to support the opposition and cause trouble. Good riddance to the blue rubbish
-
I wont miss them, the blue few can follow Havant- Waterlooville or some other crappy side.
-
As the Serious Fraud Office announces today that it intends to request permission from the attorney general to prosecute BAE, is this something that Harry has been involved with as well ??? Lots of brown envelopes involved there :-)
-
Why is it absurd? Have you forgotten all the celebrations from the blue few when we were relegated, and all the gloating about our apparent demise a few months ago. No symapthy for them, as for the players they can always kiss the badge of another club, even redknapp left his spitritual home as soon as he could. Let them rot
-
Sorry but I would love for Po**ey to go bust, cant find any sympathy for them, and if I had it in my power to hasten their demise I would do it. F *cK off Pompey Pompey F **k off
-
They may of been singing it for fifty years but I dont remember it being sung when we used to play them in the 70's etc... in any case i think its like a lot of modern myths about supporters etc, ie Pompey being loud and loyal is the first one to spring to mind...
-
The trouble with these teams is that we will only get about 1,000 tickets for the return match, as the ground only holds about 11,000. Not that are able to get anywhere near that attending on an mormal match day..!!!
-
I was sat at the other end of the ground and thought the Rovers fans were very quiet for the numbers that they had, the Northam did us proud until all the enthusiasm evaporated out of the team towards the end...
