  1. He was in my opinion harshly criticised during his tenure. His intention was always to do the best for the club he supported. He put significant funds into the club, but was screwed over by the Wilde child and Lowe so got wrongly grouped into that rabble. He may have gambled but he did what any grass root fan would have done, tried to get us up. No ? Good to see he is back and should be applauded for his role in keeping this club alive. A fan who put significant money where where most of us would if we could?
  2. A fan who put his money where his month was. Maybe misplaced but heart in the right place. Deserves respect not abuse in my view.
  3. Seems they cannot get a team up to face Eastliegh! Taken from the Eastliegh board Sorry to inform you that the game scheduled for Monday 12th July, against a Portsmouth X1 has been cancelled by PFC. We are told that they do not have enough players available to play us - which makes it impossible for them to fulfill the fixture. We are hopeful of re-arranging the game, during the pre season period. More news when applicable.
  4. Has anyone actually got their tickets in hand yet? Renewed day 1 but not yet received?
  5. Rumour has it that the Pompey players not paid again? Also seems all not well in the boardroom! http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/dec/02/portsmouth-transfer-embargo
  6. From the Eastliegh FC Website. A young center half I think. Well thought of but only limited games so far. Following discussions between Ian Baird and Southampton FC - it has been agreed that Aaron Martin will train with SFC during the course of the coming week. It must be stressed that no transfer deal has been discussed or agreed at this stage, and we fully expect Aaron to be part of our squad for our game at Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.
  7. After 40 years of supporting and watching the Saints I have finally decided enough is enough. For only the second time I left a game early ( the first time was in 1976 cup run when we were losing 0-1 to Villa at the Dell and I left before Fisher hit the equaliser, we all know what happened after that !) as the team were without doubt the most clueless I have seen. Lowe out, Wilde.. hang the bastard, the Dutch connection can **** off home. Saturday afeternoons are no longer football dominated.
