  1. This was my first half marathon and my official chip time was 01:54:59 which as a first attempt and a veteran male of 42 years old I am very happy with. It was great to see the people of Southampton come out to watch and support everyone and I really hope this event continues and becomes a huge success. I am not sure what other people who took part thought but I had a couple of points I think need improving. There was a bottle neck in the ocean village area which was so early on in the race it ground everyone to a complete halt. As I said this was my first event but my experience in the finishing funnel was awful, there was not enough space, it was very disorganized and was the last thing you needed after completing 13.1 miles.

    JWP

Nice foresight Angelman. I also have noticed recently that James has started to fill out a lot more. He is developing like Luke Shaw did in the close season of 2013. I expect a big year from James next year and think he will cement his place as a first team starter. in
  3. He is going to get more starts now Wanyama is suspended for two games, in fact my prediction is he won't be out of the team for the rest of this season and he will score another goal.
  4. The way JWP tucked away that penalty yesterday then I think he should be on them for the foreseeable future.
  5. My mate was a penny share dealer in his younger days and Askham was one of his biggest clients, he pretty much said the same about him when it came to share dealing!
  6. Well when you come onto the site the day after a defeat and read threads on selling Shane Long, dropping Pelle and JWP being **** then personally I'd say all 3 are quite unreasonable!
  7. Well that's the impression you get from the majority of threads I have viewed on here. We lost 1 game and very narrowly against a team that have picked up their form at home. They are also a team who are quite strong, comparably to us and would have been higher in the league if not for a dreadful start and competing in the UEFA cup. The criticism of our individual players is laughable, some people need to gain some perspective and have a quiet word with themselves. We are doing great, still competing in EVERY game despite the odd narrow defeat. We are Southampton, it will never be perfect but **** me why are so many complaining?
  8. Cody Cropper called into the USA squad for friendlies against Denmark and Switzerland. The USA have a habit of producing very decent Premier League quality goalkeepers, just maybe we already have one on our hands! As you have alluded to it will be very interesting to see if he is number 2 and sat on the bench for the next match.
  9. Had a look on this thread and unless I have missed it can someone please clarify the following; 1. Is there a recall option in the loan deal with Bournemouth for Boruc? 2. If so, can we register Boruc to play in our squad in the Premier league this season? I suspect NO to both but am not sure.
  10. This guy is everything that is wrong with modern journalism and he is completely stealing a living!
  11. Not really, its a very sensible idea considering the country they have awarded the tournament to, awarding them the tournament in the first place is very questionable though. It's OK Grandad don't be so scared of change and you may see England do well in a tournament and go close to a repeat of 1966.
  12. Why not give something new a try? Are people that scared of and adverse to change? England haven't got close to looking like potential winners since 1990 so maybe this will be an opportunity to try a different approach.
  13. He had a great game yesterday and has been a very good purchase for us and hopefully will get better and better. I am a fan but one thing I have noticed about him is that in the same move he can look like the best player I have ever soon but also the worst. I have never seen a player who hits such highs and lows within the same passage off play. He is undependable, he doesn't know what he is going to do, his team mates have little idea so what chance has the oppositions defence got? This lad could elevate himself to cult hero status at Saints.
  14. I really do hope there is no skiing or snowboarding as can you imagine the furore should a serious injury be picked up.
  15. Just when you thought it was safe enough to forget and move on from immigration street another Southampton based TV star comes along. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2975365/The-mother-beaten-30-times-day-CHILDREN-Woman-reveals-stabbed-scissors-strangled-son-11-daughter-nine.html
  16. Yep, spot on. There is a pecking order and little old Southampton need to know there place. We will finish 7th too, them's the rules!

    "Stonewall"

Wow, if ever a post came home to roost it's this beauty!
  18. Spot on and I think he will. He comes across as a good chap and I think he will feel indebted to the club. Also the contract situation is probably on hold from both parties so they can see what happens. As the club are insured for players wages whilst they are injured then surely they couldn't increase these wages without taking a hit on them until the player is fully recovered?
  19. Do yourself a favour, if you think this is a good idea then don't have children as this world really doesn't need any more morons!
  20. Not buying another striker to bring off the bench and provide a little competition for Pelle is costing us.
  21. I know I will get mullered for this but just maybe we have our own Harry Kane in he form of Sam Gallagher? The coaching staff seem to rate him highly, he looked very useful in a couple of games last year. He obviously needs to get back to full fitness and work his way onto the bench but who knows from there? A couple of goals is what Kane needed and his confidence has soared since, just maybe we already have our own?
  22. Rumours on Twitter he has signe a pre contract with Real Sociedad!

    Red card?

Put it this way, I wouldn't bother appealing it.
  24. Taking Harry Reed off was the big mistake. This left our defence far too exposed and gave JonJo Shelvey all the space he needed. Other than has effort against the post Reed had Shelvey in his back pocket. Tadic or JWP should have been sacrificed for Mane. Oh and Tadic leave the ****ing set pieces alone, your dead ball delivery is poor compared to JWP!
  25. What a novel idea, or alternatively we could make a big song and dance about it when according to this weeks Les Reed updates in the local echo there really is no need to.
