  1. To the tune of postman pat. Lawrie Mac, Lawrie Mac, Lawrie Mac we want you back, Southampton fans are calling, to stop the Saints from falling, to rid Rupert Lowe from our club!
  2. Some of you need to realise that as far as Chelsea and Jack Cork are concerned this is all about Jack's development for the purpose of getting him ready for the Chelsea first team. Now he may well not make it at Chelsea but they have to give him the best chance possible. Whilst his loan spell with us has been beneficial to Jack and Chelsea I guess they see the link up with their ex reserve boss as being a key factor. There is also the fact they may be looking at the situation of unrest at our club, the fact we are struggling at home and deeply embroiled in a relegation battle with a very good chance of going down. To them Watford may seem a more stable bet for Jacks development and who could blame Chelsea and Jack Cork for coming to that decision. It is a gutter but that is what you get when one of your best and most influential players this season is a short term loan deal. The real question that should be being asked is what is happening with the fully contracted 'stars' of the future of the glittering Saints academy? Must do better would be my assessment! I would like to thank Chelsea for the loan and Jack for his efforts. Jack will have a good career in the game.
  3. He is making preparations for his NYE extravaganza. He is off to See Oliver at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane to pick up some tips before then heading over to pick pockets paradise, Leicester square for a couple of hours of dipping fun.
  4. Please let’s not lose site of the fact that an innocent man has lost his life through no fault of his own. Commiserations to his wife and children who Christmas will NEVER be the same for again.
  5. On a positive note he will not be putting himself in the shop window when we play United. Also the longer he is out injured then the less likely he will be sold off in January.
  6. Like The Saints Trust you mean? Were they not taken in by the Wilde bunch last time? Where did that get us exactly? Oh...

    The big question

    1. Lowe still believes in the manager. 2. We don't have the money to pay him off.
  8. Alpine, I don't know why you don't offer your services to the clubs executive as you seem to have all the answers after every home defeat. I am sure they would be more than happy to have the wisdom of such a well rounded highly motivated fan. Maybe if that fan on the board place is on offer then I would love to put your name forward for the position. You certainly get my vote!
  9. I think I may pop down for this game and I have a positive frame of mind and can see us getting a good result. A few on here could do with lsitening to Darren Moore. His article on the BBC probably deserves it'sown thread. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2008/11/darren_moores_guide_to_promoti.html#040546 He is certainly a player we could do with now and should have been interested i nthe summer. Oh no I forgot he is to slow for a few of you on here.
  10. I have to agree. FWIW I also agree with the majority of your original post. What makes me laugh is I really cannot stand Lowe and all he stands for, but I am sensible enough to understand and realise that he is just about the best man to have in charge in the current financial climate and under our current financial circumstances. If that makes me a Luvvie then so be it!
  11. Yep Dave Bull has done the same for me too and he has also perviously for my Dell Diamond, Match of the Millenium and Full time at the Dell and they are all signed by Ted and\or Matty. The service is why I will always buy the Hagiology books!
  12. I really like the lad and his work rate, strength, hold up play and ability to run the channels remind me of James Beattie on a good day. If he has goals in his game then he could be the centre forward we are looking for. I do not want to heap praise and pressure on him too early but starting a match really has to be just around the corner. Personally I would ditch the guys we have on loan (Pekhart and Robertson) and give Patterson an opportunity until January as he could be the real deal. If he isn't then what have we actually lost? We could then sign a striker in the January transfer window (Or get Stern John back) as we would then have an idea if Patterson is up to it.
  13. Last night was brilliant. Thanks to London Saints for organising and thanks to Keith for sorting our tickets. Jan and the team were excellent company and it was good to see them enjoy a beer with the fans. Jan is so positive and I really believe given time he will get us competing in the championship again. The only negative from the night is the venue was a bit cramped and not as good as 3-4 years ago. Brilliant pub with great beer though! Thanks again to those who organised and also to Jan and the team for turning up!
  14. Mine may be a bit controversial but what the ****! -------------Davies Cork----- Pearce Perry------Rudi Lallana Schneiderlin Surman Holmes -------------McGoldrick -------------Patterson
  15. After meeting Jan and the boys last night I am pleased that they have got this draw. They will be buzzing and I say good for them. If it is on TV the game WILL NOT sell out so everyone that wants a ticket will get one so can we put to bed this hollow argument please? The comments from some on this thread sadden me and it does feel like there is a discussion going on that has little importance or relevance. Personally I have not yet been to a home game this season. I have my reasons and none of them are a boycott. I am actually in Southampton on the 3rd as I fly back from Edinburgh after New Year’s. Will I go to the game? Probably not! I would rather make the trip down to watch us against Forest.

I have to agree and to prove it I have used up 1\3 of my daily allowance. Top work CB! :smt038
  17. Not surprised by the content of the financial report and although I can't stand a lot that Lowe stands for I am so glad he returned. The previous board including 'super fan' Leon Crouch gambled with our future. Oh and to think people are suggesting he come back to replace Wilde and Lowe on the viable alternatives thread. Oh my god please NO!!! Had Crouch stayed there can be no doubt that we would be in administration by now. I love the way the same old faces and fractions of support are dressing up the timing of the announcement. I rarely read threads on here these days but one thing I do notice are snippets of useful information from people like Steve Grant. He told us this was coming on Friday. Those seeing it like the biggest conspiracy theory since ‘did the royal family have Diana killed’ need your heads tested. Why let fact get in the way of the daily fiction you like to play out in your sad little minds. One point of interest I have is the loan note holder our mortgage lender or is there an additional financial institution we now owe money too?
  18. Mods when will you start to lock threads like this? It is so obviously the usual suspects trying to make fun at other forum member’s expense. It is why I will never pay £5 and why this forum has become tiresome. The same idiots are still here despite your new policy of charging for the privilege!
  19. You should be ashamed of calling an honest, hard working guy a clown. The guy has been given a really tough task with limited funds and is stuck with a bunch of talented kids that he is trying to get the best out of. The guy has one of the hardest jobs in the championship and having a lack of respect from certain fractions of support is really not helping the situation. The sooner people realise that a football club in debt in the current financial climate have to make tough decisions because the banks say so the better. Some of the fans on here really do not have two brain cells to rub together! It must be lonely inside your heads!
  20. It is 'on the march' and I still have my copy if anyone wants to make me an offer!
  21. You are assuming that Baj knows that every time that he gets his head stuck in the door it is because of his ego.
  22. Well said. For once you are bang on the money. For me there are one or two other issues I have with the site and how it is run but they wont be debated by me on a public forum.
  23. It amuses me that a tactic vilified by Saints fans is now paying dividends in the premier league for Stoke City. Maybe we did not have the personnel to aim the missiles at but it is treated by Pullis and more importantly Stoke fans as a positive weapon. You only have to hear them get behind Rory when he lines one up Wooooaaaaa! I just guess that Saints fans new better eh? doh!
  24. Let me guess you were in a hurry and had something on display in your car that prompted the vermin to investigate further? Added to that I bet you had Saints stickers all over your car and the incident took place whilst you were at the game? Were everyone’s cars around you broken into? It does not take rocket science to understand the measures you could take to avoid such a situation. It has happened to me at football and trust me you do learn the hard way!
  25. We have signed a lot of players but as I see it there are two main problems with that group of players. Firstly the majority have a reputation as ones for the future with good potential which is great but we do need some more NOW men. They all bar Wotton lack experience. Secondly in a squad already short of full backs and centre backs amongst those 11 players only two are defenders. In my experience of good and successful football teams the 'building from the back' part is the essential bit to get right. If your defence is consistent and strong then with experience of playing together the goals will stop to flow against you. Once this happens you then usually only need to score one goal to win a match!
