  1. They were ****ing horrendous and I wouldn't back them for top 8 let alone top 4. They along with Man United have helped turn Morgan into a shadow of his former self and they started last nights game with Saints 3rd choice right back and a previous backup\squad keeper. They now have Rooney who is hardly prolific so you have to wonder where Lukaku's goals are going to come from. My prediction is Everton will finish 9th unless they sign a proper goalscorer.
  2. Hope Les and the board have broad shoulders and are prepared for the backlash if that is the case.
  3. Ahhh got to love a review thread like this, particularly when they come up with such utter gems!
  4. There was talk of Spurs letting Harry Kane go until Tim Sherwood gave him a proper run, the rest is history.
  5. That is exactly what we are continually told on this forum but its something I have rarely seen in a live football stadium which doesn't fit the PuelOut agenda.

    Caceres

Yet another clean sheet for Maya Yoshida and Jack Stephens, they must have got lucky again.
  7. From what I have seen of him in academy and on loan games he has always had good ability on the ball, its one of the strongest parts of his game.
  8. You do realise with Chelsea, Man City, Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Everton in the same division and competing for the same honours that achieving that season in season out on our budget is night on impossible. We should be winning the odd cup and going on decent runs in both the cups and league but to do it consistently as some are demanding is ****ing lunacy!

    Caceres

The defence was the least of our issues, the problem Saturday was lack of cutting edge not giving us the lead for all our possession and dominance for 60 minutes, then we lost the midfield battle due to Wilshire coming on and Bournemouth outnumbering us. The defence stood firm and did their jobs by keeping a clean sheet. Yes we had some luck but if the midfield and strikers had done their jobs we'd have won the match comfortably!

    Caceres

I must have imagined that clean sheet on Saturday, lost for words!
  11. The best post on this forum for a long while, very well said OP! I would say though that for many his name just isn't sexy enough and they'd probably prefer the quick fix mercenary even though realistically we have very little to play for in the remainder of this season!
  12. Where has all the money gone??? A multitude of mongs can now go crawling back under their rock!

    Wage Bill

and the ignorant will still state 'where has all the money gone'? The answer is quite clearly, into the current squads pockets on contract extensions.
  14. Muppet!
  15. Let's get one thing straight, this is a desperate move by a desperate club at a desperate time. This isn't our type of signing at all, this is a club going into total panic that they are being sucked into a relegation battle and that they may embarrass themselves in a cup final, this lad was most probably near the bottom of the pile on the black box. His injury record, current level of fitness and huge wages tell you everything you need to know. That being said he is an experienced international with pedigree and we need someone desperately, although the more I think about it the more I suspect it will be a disaster, hope I am 100% wrong. If Les gets away with this one he is one jammy bar steward. COYR
  16. What's Steven Caulker up to?
  17. No idea what you are on about here as he won every header bar one that he went up for. He di give the ball away once during a very shaky period for the entire team. He marshalled the back 4 well and covered very well for Cedric when he got caught out of position late on. He did very well in my opinion, he does still has an awful long way to go compete with VVD and Maya though.
  18. If 2 days after the 1/4 final is months ago then guilty as charged, made a slight mistake they were £16.50 each way so a grand total of £35, so very affordable to anyone who got organised and wanted to go. I think there was a virgin sale on at the time although I'm not 100% sure on that one.
  19. This. I cancelled two days holiday I had booked in December and instead used them for this game. Travel Lodge for £24, return trains from London about £30, I'd say it's cheaper than the majority of northern away games, particularly if your staying over. There will obviously be those who have good reason not to go but it feels like there is a lot of apathy towards the club at the moment and that's sad, I reckon we'd have taken more in the Branfoot days and those were proper **** times and if you think this football is bad then count yourself lucky you didn't have to witness those times!

    Cortese's Dream

With some of the comments on here you'd never guess we had a great opportunity in a cup semi final next week.
  21. I cannot be sure but that doesn't look like Clyne to me!
  22. The bookies and local Palace rag seem to think there is something in it. http://www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/odds-tumble-on-return-to-crystal-palace-for-manchester-united-and-everton-target/story-30041540-detail/story.html

    Jay Rod

He is one goal away from being properly back now. As has been said in the last two games he is finally getting into good positions, we really need to stick with him and support him. I am sure he didn't want his career to go the way it has. His comeback has been extremely long and slow and it was always going to take a long time.
  24. Graziano Pelle then?
