  1. You are very very very sad. I know it is harmless but come on is it really that funny? Does it really make you feel that special? Perhaps an achievement to go on your updated CV?
  2. At this late stage it is very likely that we have run into a hitch and are obviously now out of time and any signings we do make will be loans with a view to a permanent move in January. Hold your horses and be patient and all will be announced in time!
  3. Ummm wasn't that the first thing He and Cortese said in interviews when they took over? They said they want to run the club as a self-sufficient efficient business that operates within its own means! FWIW I think these undisclosed fees are a joke and the Governing bodies of the game should stop clubs from doing it. Where is the transparency?
  4. Shame someone did not do it before the Everton home game on the 6th Feb 2005. How things could be different now!
  5. It is a poor result but not surprising after witnessing the team first hand at Swindon on Tuesday night. We could have lost 4-5 nil to a very average side. Anyone who still thinks we are promotion contenders and can make the play offs is deluded. Pardew and the team need time and the fans need to be patient. It is going to be one long season and the sooner than -8 is gone the better!
  6. Pardew's comments are very worrying. That is the heaviest 1-0 massacre I have ever had to endure. How we got out of that place only losing 1-0 I will never know. 3 or even 4 nil would not have flattered Swindon. If I was Pardew I would stop talking ****e and look to sign their right back and right winger. They both ripped us to shreds all night. Then we will be going in the right direction. The team needs pace and an addition of at least 6-7 players with it. One thing Torres said to me tonight which kind of stands out. We do not really know how good the Swindon keeper and back four are as we did not test them. **** me he is right. What a shambles!
  7. So you think his bitter and twisted attempts to blame one of if not the greatest player to ever where the Saints shirt is great do you? This chap has to have someone to vent his ill conceived and nasty comments at he is never happy unless he has a grudge against someone. Please read between the lines and don't give him any credit as his post isn't about fans expectations but just another cheap dig at MLT.
  8. Exactly. The fact he called Beattie lazy who is without doubt one of the hardest working strikers I have seen in a Saints shirt totally undermines the rest of his post. In all honest I stopped reading there.
  9. A little side question for those that have the Unbelievable DVD. Is it updated to include his entire career including the last goal at The Dell against Arsenal? I have the video but do not want to waste money on essentially the same product if it is not updated. http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/166265/Matt-Le-Tissier-Unbelievable/Product.html
  10. A yawn of a tie.
  11. We should be looking at Simeon Jackson. This lad is a nippy goal scorer and has already opened his account with 4 goals in 2 games this season. He may cost a million or two but he would be an ideal partner for Lambert IMHO
  12. Do you really, really, really think he will not be interested? No offence but I do not think I have laughed so much at a suggestion on here for ages.
  13. Just a couple of adjustments and I think it is perfect for our new number 7! When you're down, St Mary's Way Any given.... Saturday You will hear, the Saints fans roar... As RICKIE, LAMBERT always SCORES (the always is needed to keep the tune) We all love it when RICKIE LAMBERT SCORES Rickie Lambert scores, Rickie Lambert scores We all love it when RICKIE LAMBERT SCORES Rickie Lambert scores, Rickie Lambert scores.
  14. The original song is brilliant. There is only one simple verse and the chorus is also very simple. It is in my head already so if anyone is struggling to remember it then you can't have more than two brain cells to rub together. It is a great song and great tune and just what we need. Well done to those who came up with it!

    Jack Cork

I think he is far better than league 1 level and I also think there will be plenty of Championship clubs in the queue ahead of us. He is going to be a very good player. His old fella is a good lad to boot.
  16. A couple of long range efforts do not make a good player. He has great ability on the ball but if he wants to play central midfield then he needs to put a shift in off the ball. He was one of the main reasons we lost control of the game second half. He did not put a tackle in or close down any of their midfield players. Wotton didn't help but we are pretty limited for holding defensive midfielders that can tackle at the moment.
  17. These types of deals are rife in English football. I have no idea if it is the same abroad but it is a change in the English game that I personally do not like. There is no transparency and it is a way of football boards keeping its fans in the dark. The sooner the football authorities pass some rules that fees need some form of disclosure of transfer deals then so much the better in my opinion. I have to ask myself what are the clubs trying to hide!
  18. No one could ever doubt yours and Turtles commitment to Saints. You had your reasons so that should be fair enough for anyone! We all pay our money and make our choices.
  19. To be fair singing the stands names is so much better than the left side right side ******. It can be effective too it was always good when Arsenal got it going at Highbury (not often I know).
  20. Obviously not in Le Tissier's class but finally someone who may do the number 7 shirt justice. Sign him up I say. If we can also get a quick striker to play up top with him then I think we will have the makings of a very nice strike force.
  21. I have never been Rasiaks biggest fan but we need a striker and IF motivated he will be ideal and score bundles in league 1. If we can get a nice pacey striker to play alongside him then all the better. Saga can go as far as I am concerned. Bar his little spell whilst trying to earn a permanent move to Saints he has been as disappointing as that other flop Rudi Skacel.
  22. On the day when a true gent and legend of the game passes away we get a troll of a thread like this. Some of the comments here are unbelievable but if I am honest not that surprising. I am happy to let the board and Alan Pardew makes the signings they want and require and when they feel the time is right to do so. There are so many factors going on behind the scenes that to simplify it with some of your comments is just plain ignorance. I guess my status as a happy clappy is confirmed. I have never wanted anything other than success and a winning Saints team. I guess the fact I am patient is my undoing and is lost on the majority on here.
  23. It is without a doubt the saddest day I have ever had as a football fan. I never met the man but like everyone else you felt you knew him. I loved his passion for the game, the way he got the best out of players. He was just an inspiration and a true legend of the game. He is without doubt the best England manager of the best England team in my lifetime! He never managed or played for my club but there is no one else in the game I have ever felt more love and fondness for. Thanks for the memories Bobby and R.I.P. old chap.
  24. Can 19k not fit into a 26k stadium then?
