  1. Greatest hope for this season?- Champions Biggest fear?- Not getting promotion Most important player?- Lambert Terrace favourite?- Lallana Keep an eye out for...- Dickinson Player you'd happily drive to his next club?- Pullis One change you'd make at your club? - No booking fee on my single match tickets! Have we got the right manager?- Yes What advice would you give him?- Sign Antonio Which team do you most want to beat this season?- Sheffield Wednesday Opposition player you despise?- I have no idea Opposition player you secretly admire?- I think Lee Carsley could be buy of the season.
  2. Personally like most I think we are short ofone body that will give this option. Antonio would be ideal but it appears reading seem to be giving him a chance. Oxlade-Chamberlain may prove to be as good an impact option but he is untried yet so it is a worry. I am sure someone who offers this will be hear before the end of August and it may end up being a player like Antonio on a season long loan.
  3. Agreed. It would be nice to hear other fans take on the matches and how they think we did especially in the second game. Steve G are you listening?
  4. I think the key point here is how many season ticket holders have not renewed because of a lack of an installment plan? For me if there is just 1 case then that is a shame and SRS/DBP has won this argument. We were always going to get more sales this year due to our investment, potential to achieve, and the return of the feel good factor, after all we did win a trophy last season! I really fail to understand the hostility shown. Having more options for fans to pay for their season ticket is a no brainer and the club are missing a trick here. I think it is for certain they would have had more sales if they gave people the option to pay for their season ticket over the season.
  5. We did not lose to one Northern team away from home in a midweek match last season. In fact we won at Hartlepool in very testing conditions in a midweek match last year. I would say it was one of our best away performances of the season. I seem to recall slipping up at Tramere on a Saurday afternoon, and a few southern teams such as Swindon, Colchester and Gillingham. We did not really lose away that much and if we carry that form into this season we will be in the top 2. Alpine is just proving what we all know and that is he is just full of hot air and can only ever see the negatives. Facts are lost on him as HE KNOWS what is in his head and that is the truth that fits his argument despite a million other posters attempts to put him right with actual facts.
  6. Huddersfield are the team that worry me as well. Wednesday should be strong but it depends on their start. Anyone thinking this season will be easy is in for a very big shock!
  7. He has been involved in both of readings pre season friendlies so far. He came off the bench for the first one against Farnborough. In the second game on tour in Slovenia he started against Red Star Belgrade but was substituted after 25 minutes with a groin injury. He would not be on tour unless he was in Readings first team plans so as much as I would love to be wrong I think this deal is dead.
  8. Nah has to be the Windsow Castle. Ahhh oh when the saints has just come on in the hotel bar Jazz Stylee. Oh the temptation to sing!
  9. Likewise, but alas I am away!
  10. Not surprised Pardew is taking the opportunity to change some numbers about. He is not daft and realises his star players will all have their preferences so he will want to accommodate them where he can. The job has becomes a bit easier this season as we renew both kits which will mean no shirts handed back by fans as their favourite player has changed their number. The club have always held back changing too many numbers in the past because of this.
  11. A brilliant signing for them that will keep them challenging next season. I totally agree with you that we need an old head in Midfield. Normally I would say don't go bak but Matt Oakley would be ideal now Carsley has gone elsewhere! Hendrie is a good shout too.
  12. You make a good point and Tyson is definitely not a support striker. He plays up top and as a wide player sometimes. Personally I think he is ideal as he offers cover for Lambert which is essentially what Pardew wanted. Ricky needs a break now and then to keep him fresh. You are not going to get another 20 goal a season man to play second fiddle to Lambert which essentially is what Tyson is likely to be.
  13. Sarcasm is great until you look an almighty **** if\when it comes true!
  14. What a crock of ****e. Terry Butcher summed it up perfectly on Sky we are simply not good enough, no more and no less!
  15. Not an option for those at work and in a controlled user environment!
  16. Sorry mate but it's awful. The format is very garish and in your face. A work safe mode would be good. Also it is very slow when replying to a post. It takes ages for what you have typed to appear in the text box.
  17. Very sensible man. I don't go for replica's but I have to say it is a nice kit.
  18. Why anyone would want to waste there Saturday queuing up for something they could nip into town and buy tomorrow or even next week is beyond me. They do say that the British love a queue but this smacks of utter sadness just so they can say 'I have my new shirt who else has got one'? ****ing morons.
  19. The world cup is on you boring ****ers. Why go and queue up for a replica shirt that you can nip into town for early doors tomorrow. Sad, sad people!
  20. You ruined it for me as soon as you said Baj was coming!
  21. That has always been his problem and why it is so easy to make him look a complete and utter Gump!
  22. This is all I have on my mind all summer. It pales into insignificance the match ticket price rises, booking fees, training ground development, transfer news, pre season tour and whether Cortese is the new Lowe. When will they release this most pertinent piece of news?
  23. The gayest thread EVER!
  24. You found the correct thread about booking fees then!
  25. In fairness you could have posted your point on one of the many threads covering the subject.
