Jack Collison would be nice. I think he is now back to fitness after a long lay off.

Anyone else starting to worry about fixture pile-up ?
Ewell replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
In a nutshell. The pile up is a slight concern and nothing more. -
Has this website sold its soul for 30 pieces of silver?

Whilst I agree with some of the sentiments of the original post about the forums previous incarnations I have to wonder where will this ever end? Who is the next Lowe, Wilde, Crouch or Cortese? There are always a section of fans that disagree with the board and see conspiracy theories in everything that those that run the club do. I agree with Delldays it would be nice if we could enjoy the football as I can’t remember too many periods in my Saints supporting life where we win many more games than we lose. In essence does it matter who is in charge, at the end of the day I don't think anyone who does the job will ever be universally liked. As long as the appoint the right manager and let him get on with his job then they have my baking. On this score I do not think they can currently be faulted. -
Rubbish, would rather have Delgado back!

It is a big IF but if we can win our 2 games in hand on Bournemouth and don't get beat by them at Dean court as well as winning our game in hand on Huddersfield we will be in 2nd place. I cannot see us catching Brighton as they simply do not drop enough points and we will probably drop around the same as them on the run in so they are always going to be 6-8 points ahead which is probably not enough for us to put any kind of pressure on them. 2nd place it is but as long as we go up in some capacity that will do for me.

Ian Brown in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Blink and you will miss him!

The Cortese Tax - OFT probe into firms 'profiting from plastic'

**** I must have missed the 32k sell outs every home game! -
I am in no way advocating dropping Davis but I was impressed with the way Bart commanded his area against United. I feel we have two good keepers and I am happy for either to be between the sticks.

On reflection a draw is a good result but the manner in which it happened is not acceptable. To lead a game by two clear goals TWICE and surrender the lead is just not on. There is no way we will go up automatically if we cannot see a game out. Chaplow and Hammond impressed me but very few others did. Alex looked good in patches but I though Do Prado was very poor and dived in at every opportunity. If he is not in the side up front then I do not think he should be in the team. I was shocked at how poor the back 4 were and a lot of credit needs to go to Craig Mackail-Smith, he has to be top of the shopping list next summer. Davis, Harding and Seaborne should not be written off but they really did perform poorly yesterday. I know he did not have long but new signing Forte look like a lost soul up front. His decision making and first touch seemed very poor. Hopefully it was first game nerves and he didn't have long so it is a bit cruel to judge him on that performance alone.

Playing Saturday afternoon vets football. I have not watched Saints much in the past couple of years due to starting playing again. I really enjoy it and feel that you cannot play forever so do it whilst you can. Saints will still be there afterwards and I can always go to some games that are not on a Saturday afternoon or when we do not have a match. I do really miss going and when I do now I tend to enjoy it even more than I remember.

To the tune of the old Villa classic. Kelvin Davis rolls the ball to Fonte, Fonte on to Schneiderlin and on to Richard Chaplow, Richard Chaplow down the wing like a torpedo, crosses the ball in the air to Guly Do Pradoooo!!!

Yeah that’s why his dad who we know is also his agent was all over Sky Sports News saying that his sons preferred destination was Arsenal. If Alex is still here at 11pm tonight then in my opinion and many others it is because the purchasing clubs have been frightened off by the huge fee we want for him. Make no mistake if a fee was agreed then Alex would no longer be a Saints player. Expect a more determined raid and more likely a different outcome next summer!

Could be ****** but who can tell. and what he says about his source. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A80544620

Whatever people’s views on paying the Forum Tax I think the Forum was a much more vibrant community when there was not an annual subscription. Many people no longer post on the forums and it appears to be the same old faces that have paid up responding to every thread. I think the 3 posts rule is restrictive and whilst I understand that this forum needs contributions to run due to its popularity I think it has also gone downhill greatly since the restrictions were put in place. How about 5 or 10 posts per day for non members? It may help sparking the forums into life again as I feel that good opinions and debate are not fulfilled with the restrictions of 3 posts! Thanks for listening!

I thought his comments were honest and accurate so I have no idea why the drama queens in our fan base are throwing a hissy fit over this one. Owen for me showed yesterday what a waste of fantastic talent he is at United. He is exactly the sort of payer Saints should look to sign when we get to The Championship and then the Premier League! http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/8821420.Owen___United_quality_was_the_difference/

Great comment and so true, my suggestion is a broken record!

A great effort from Saints but now back to the bread and butter of league 1 (so glad it did not go to a replay). Oh and ITV's coverage of the FA Cup was abysmal, Bring back the BBC!!! I thought Harding, Chaplow and Butterfield had moster games. Great performance from the whole team though!

I hope others just saw that brilliant interview with Atkins on SKY. It appears to me that they want Alex to stay and they fully expect him to be part of our team until the end of the season. He also hinted he was a player who could take us where we want to go, he is allowed to flourish with us and make mistakes where he may not be at other clubs. I now get the feeling he may just be staying put!
-
He talks total sense including his comments about the England team. A future captain for sure...but will it be at Saints???
-
I think the fact his Dad is on SSN talking about Arsenal are his son's preferred destination and Arsenal have confirmed on their O\S they are negotiating for the player as well as Wenger's comment's after Arsenal's game at the weekend we can pretty much conclude that it is not a matter of IF but WHEN. DD is spot on (for once) and the WHEN is looking pretty close!
-
Yep and Adkins comments have shown up some posters on this thread who do not seem to unserstand that you need players who are positive and with good team spirit. He should have never come back from Millwall. One of few mistakes Adkins has made so far and I am positive he won't make it again. Good riddance to the Prima-Donna!

I totally agree. I have to wonder why we have not taken any of Arsenal's young players when Wenger knows what a good academy we have and how we look after our youngsters you would have thought he would be begging us to take them to aid their development!
