I can only guess a local factor was needed as the U21 game at St Mary's is not selling too well. I fully expect he will be one of the 17 excused from international duty before the U21 tournament starts.

I think the only starter we need is a new central midfielder with experience and a bit of class. Get Jimmy Bullard from Hull. He has done very well on loan at Ipswich this season, in fact he won there player of the year having only played in 16 matches. He is on huge money (Rumoured to be 40k) which I know is excessive but he said on this week’s goals on Sunday that he is very willing to take a pay cut as he just wants to play. Ipswich are obviously in the driving seat but I am sure he would want to listen to what we have to say. The other priority should be a winger to cover and provide competition for Lallana and Oxo.

My suggestion for a new centre midfield player next season would be to get Jimmy Bullard from Hull. He has gone on loan to Ipswich played 16 matches and been named their player fo the season, incredible impact. If fit he is far too good for The Championship.

Is anyone else also concerned at the timing of this? Brighton have 3 players and they won the league at a canter so they must be a little miffed. As if they needed any more motivation to beat us on Saturday.

As soon as you think it is going to be comfortable then that is when you get bitten on the arse! That could be exactly the wakeup call the players and the fans needed and at just the right time as there are still plenty of points to play for. Whilst I agree and think Adkins has done a brilliant job it's made a lot easier by winning football matches. The one word I would use to describe what Adkins has brought to the club is 'positivity'. That is obviously rubbing off on the players and if he gets the wrong attitude then its goodbye good riddance ala Puncheon

Whenever we tend to get big gates the players don't seem to cope well with the pressure and we tend to drop points. The fans also seem to jump on the players backs pretty quickly.
