Probably because no matter how well we get on in the Premier League we will never have the pull of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs. There is also the fact that every Premier League player seems to want to move on for 'Champions League Football' so that will be the minimum standard we have to aim for. Sorry but like John I agree with the philosophy but I just cannot see us holding onto the very good ones long enough to even get to Champions League level, once there it may be a different story for a short period of time.

At 38 years old I do not feel the need to be cool. Since I have been a big music fan for near on 30 years I know what I like and I know what I don't. The AM's first album was pretty good with a couple of corking anthems which will stand the test of time. The best thing Alex Turner has done since has been his Last Shadow Puppets project with Miles Kane.

Despite thinking 5 million is way too much for Mills I am amused that some are using the words ‘5 million is too much for a Championship player’. They are probably the same people who think 10 million is not enough for a league 1 player, go figure!

He is without a club and must be pretty desperate to broadcast himself all over You Tube. Not many will take the gamble especially this early in pre season. I do not think he is as out of reach as people think. Yeah he would cost a fair bit and would be a big gamble but I think we could get him on a 15k a week deal with heavy incentives for appearances etc Nothing ventured, nothing gained and it would be a Statement of intent from our Board even if we offered him a trial or the opportunity to train and get fit with us and you never know like all of us he may well just fall in love with the place.

Markus has to be a black silhouette style image and not a photograph which will look garish and tacky. It is not rocket science there are hundreds of examples of football flags and I have not seen one with a life size photo of an individual on it. I am sure the artistic amongst us can mock something worthy of all the marvellous donations. Why rush it, let’s get it right, as once we have it we are stuck with it!

I was at MK when we played Pompey, Fulham and Chelsea a few years ago and Saints did well losing to Chelsea in the final. I suspect it is because of a lack of venues in the south which is a real shame as we had a lot of fans in Milton Keynes that night.

and that is the key issue. At the end of this coming season if he does not sign a new deal his value will decrease significantly.
