Spot on. This thread and people's reactions to winning 2 league matches against un-fancied opposition and a cup game against an average league 2 side are laughable. Yes enjoy the moment but let’s forget about last season and the associated stats. We are 3 games unbeaten this season and that is all that counts. As Kenny Jacket the Millwall manager said yesterday until you have completed 12 matches it cannot be considered a good start. I would say after we have played our 10th league game against West Ham at home then we will know if we are a decent side with a chance of going up or not. There are some really tough games to come before then too.

Am I right in thinking that Oxo has two years left on a 3 year deal he signed last year? I know a new deal is on the table but if he is not interested in signing it I cannot see Saints holding onto him past January 2012. We will not want him entering or even getting close to his last year of contract as his value may fall significantly.

I don't disagree with you at all but someone better have a word with Cortese and tell him how modern footballers and the British media work. Not saying it is right either (before someone jumps on me) but as pointed out above this is now the nature of modern football, players, agents and meida engineering moves.

The usual poor start, a good pick up and end of season run but we just miss out on the play off finishing 8th. A good season IMHO and if only we could improve on the poor starts we have every season!
