  1. Nope http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/villa-away-sold-out-586766.aspx
  2. I have not been going to many gigs for the past year due to moving house and work commitments but got a few things booked up for 2013 though. First up is the NME Tour in February featuring Django Django, Miles Kane, Palma Violet and Peace. Whilst the NME is a bit **** in recent times you can always rely on the NME tour to introduce you to a couple of decent new bands. Then in the summer I have one of the best small festivals in London which is Field Day http://www.fielddayfestivals.com/line-up/ This festival never attracts too much attention but the line up is always decent and this year includes Animal Collective, Bat for Lashes, Django Django, Everything Everything, ****ed Up, Tim Burgess and many more. Lastly I have the Stone Roses booked up for both the Friday and Saturday night and Finsbury Park in the summer. I am waiting to see the confirmed line ups for both days before deciding which day I will go to and which day I will sell my tickets for. Hopefully I will get to a few smaller shows this year as well.
  3. The other half is a Physio and this is her take on the latest update so basically unless The Echo have details on this from the clubs Medical department or even Adam himself then they are just guessing really. Without seeing how the injury happened, I suspect he's done one of the collateral ligaments (one each side of the knee joint), possibly tweaked one of the cruciates. Standard stuff, in rehab you start with straight line stuff before progressing to direction change. He's probably been working on strength and fitness and will continue to do that until it's healed more, and then they'll try again. Time scales are really difficult; it all depends on the extent of the damage, has he re-damaged an old injury (scar tissue) etc. All you can say is that ligaments can be a bugger, and healing is slow due to reduced blood supply (compared to muscle and bone).
  4. This may be a sign that Lallana's injury is very serious and more long term than short term. No idea about this bloke and watching clips on you tube isn't a way to judge a player, everyone can look good and score a few goals in a highlights package even John Forte.
  5. I have lived in Surrey since 1986 and back in the 80's\90's pre Abramovic Chelsea fans in pubs were a fairly rare commodity. They have always had a fairly big sleeping fan base but every kid in the area now seems to follow 'The Chels', every mature bloke also supports 'The Chels' and used to go in the 80's pre Abramovic despite the fact they regularly got under 15k. They are massive glory hunters and 90% of the modern fans have jumped on the bandwagon. I even know a former Yid who now supports them which is one of the biggest betrayals in football I have ever seen.
  6. Now also in the Daily Echo. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10140221.Adkins_rules_out_swoop_for_keeper/
  7. After seeing his brilliant movement and dummy at Stevenage before sliding a shot just past the post then I am not surprised. He was only on the pitch 5 minutes but made an instant impact. This is a good move for him and Stevenage and I hope he gets plenty of game time and scores a few goals. I have high hopes for him and it is about time we produced another decent striker.
  8. You are a bit thick if you don't realise London has a bigger pull than Southampton.
  9. Totally agree. He is calm on the ball, does not panic under pressure, strong in the air, reads the game well but also knows when to row Z it. I think he is a great signing and he looks a natural leader as well.

    Artur Boruc

On another night he would have cost us the match in the first 15 minutes. It could be said that he improved 2nd half but that is because he had bugger all to do. He gets a 5\10 from me and the jury is definitely still well and truly out on this one

    Artur Boruc

I really wanted him to be a success but after watching him against West Ham and after his spat against Spurs I don't want him in the team again. He was a panic signing that we should have never made.
  12. It is truly unbelievable that Saints fans are criticizing and looking to drop a goal scorer who many other clubs in the Premier League would love to have in their side. He has 7 goals half way through the season and if he can repeat that form then 14 goals in the Premier League in his first season would be a very decent return. The whole world is obsessed with pace and there have been many great players who lack pace but make up for it with spatial awareness, football intelligence and speed of thought. Lambert has all of these and as such is first name on the team sheet for me every time.
  13. Ryan Shawcross is suspended and it cannot be understated how important he is to Stoke City. Also rumours their right back Cameron could be suspended as well. We are capable of getting at least a point here if we play and defend well. http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Potters&action=display&thread=204920
  14. My thoughts exactly although I think other than his location Terry is the perfect man for the job. A modest and true Saints Legend. I would be interested to know what is expected of him with regards his attendance at matches and official club functions, will a 73 year old be expected to fly into Southampton often? I will also be interested to see what happens with his column in the Pink. Good luck to Terry in his new role and a very nice touch asking Ted's family to present the role to him.
  15. Agreed and I personally think a combination of the following rules have been broken as it was an obvious attempt to get a reaction. DO check that what you are writing is relevant to the forum you are on. Any post deemed unsuitable to the forum topic will be moved. DO NOT deliberately start arguments. This is known as "trolling". It is usually very easy to spot, and offending threads will be locked or deleted. DO NOT make sarcastic comments or imply that a thread is "boring" just because it doesn't interest you. If it doesn't interest you, please simply ignore the thread. If a particular user appears to irritate you on a regular basis, use the "Ignore User" feature. DO NOT involve a forum member's personal life in forum discussions unless the discussion directly involves that member and he/she is happy for it to be discussed. If you are in any doubt, don't post it.
  16. Well said Otter and I also offer my good wishes. A certain poster on here should be ashamed of his comments. It would be nice if there was some moderation done on this forum and I honestly think comments like this deserve a long ban.
  17. Fox and now Dixon, what planet are you all on? Gaston will play on the left or possibly even J-Rod in a front 3.
  18. If this guy gets anywhere near the team then we are in big trouble. Whilst he has very good delivery from set pieces he has very little else to his game and he is nowhere near Premier League quality. The sooner we replace him from the squad and let him move on the better. The amount of mistakes he has made and points he has cost us he should be a boo boys favourite rather than the likes of Gully.
  19. Reduced starting price to £4.99 and for sale again. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110989701059?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649
  20. Yes I did I am afraid.
  21. I guess Gary Nevilles Monday night football analysis on Stokes goal this evening was lost on you.
  22. I have a box full of programs from 80's and 90's I want rid of and you can have the lot if you want them.
  23. Ewell

    Substitutions!!!

Bed wetters are out in force again. You really do not have the arse hole for a fight do you. God help us if you have to go to war.
  24. I would just be worried about sending them out as I don't have the box and they are quite fragile. I can possibly sort something out if your really interested please message me on eBay. Ta
  25. What people have to ask themselves is will he do any worse than Danny Fox and the answer has to be probably not. A good number of the goals we have conceded so far this season Fox has been partly responsible for. Fox is a poor player who is far from good enough and if Adkins thinks Shaw is ready then I would definitely throw him in. I did watch Shaw at Stevenage and I was not that impressed but that was a one off game and he dud have Seaborne and a weaker team alongside him.
