Or maybe it's a simple case of sucking up so he gets in favour and potentially gets selected for the side?
-
Total legend and the biggest Saints HERO since MLT for me. Will always applaud him and wish him all the best.
-
Have as much transfer budget as you like, it is never all spent on transfer fees but also signing on sweeteners, player loyalty bonuses, excessive wages and it's not always spent wisely, just ask Spurs! We may well have 70 odd million to invest but I bet less than 60% of that gets spent on the actual transfer fees to sign the players.

Didn't Lambert have a 'match highest earner' clause in his contract which was allegedly one of the reasons we let him go. Maybe his money went up when we signed Osvaldo.
-
Keeping it simple. Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, Koeman! To the tune of I'm The Leader Of The Gang - Gary Glitter.

This lad please. He was Croatia's most dangerous player. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Perišić

Number 4 for Croatia Peresic I think he plays for Wolfsberg. A great Lallana replacement for the right hand side.

A very good video which I have to say has given me more confidence and a lot more respect for Reed. He has come across very well but I feel he had to do something like this after the about turn the club made on player sales before a new manager appointment. i.e. Lambert. One thing I will say is the club does seem to be a well managed ship, whatever crisis is thrown at them they seem to cope with it quite admirably. I will try and have a bit more faith in those making the decisions in future. That is unless they appoint Gerry Francis or John Toshack as first team manager of course (I really don't believe a word of that).
-
Are you feeling OK as I am stunned Hoddle isn't number 1 any more. What's your outlook if we appoint your first choice of Koeman or Yakin, 17th still?
-
I don't give a **** that this sounds a bit geh but it has to be said. I ****ing love you Rickie Lambert. Only second to Le Tis for me. Good luck at Liverpool mate.
-
No we were not, but you were along with one or two others on here. It really was a minority view as I have never met a Saints fan who regularly watches us home and away who doesn't realise how important Rickie Lambert is to the team and how we play. Hodgey summed it up perfectly for me. Top post lad!

You should disown and be ashamed of your sister. Why the **** didn't she just punch him in the face?
-
I am totally with you there mate. It is the only way it will cut Les and Ralph any slack with me. We have had our pants pulled down on this one.
-
It looks like the London press pack are already on his back. He better get used to it!

Likewise, I was in that camp too and don't mind admitting when I am wrong although the jury is still out for me. I have to say actions speak louder than words though and this is a huge test of those in charge at. at Mary's. His interviews have given a level of reassurance and it is nice to know a rash decision will not be made but a decision with care and intelligence aligned with the clubs values. Well done Ralph.

Whilst I agree with the sentiments of your post and am usually fairly positive when it comes to Saints and our prospects the 3 points above I have issue with. This is just my thoughts but I currently have very little faith in those with power at the club. I don't trust Les and never have. I accept I have no huge reason to be so anti him I just can't change my instincts on this one no matter how hard I try. He seems to me to be a man who wants to be in power. I may well be wrong and I will accept what comes if I am proved to be so. Ralph I am far from convinced. He seems to be a nice guy but so far all I have seen of him is showing his face at official club functions and doing a cycle ride to Villa park. Is he the kind of man we need to make key business decisions? How did he actually get this job, does he just talk a good game, in fact evidence so far would suggest he doesn't even do that with the howlers he has already dropped the key example being inviting bids for our players after the last game. Whilst Kat looks more interested now which is pleasing I keep asking myself why? What changed to make her have such commitment. The only thing I keep thinking is protecting her investment and preparing it for sale. Now if that is the case then there is nothing wrong with that as its her money and her choice but what annoys me is people keep saying how we owe her all this gratitude for saving us blah blah blah. We don't at all but we do her father and Nicola Cortese who had the vision and the ambition we all secretly craved.

Absolutely no news at all then... Other than Jim White just getting off the phone to Cortese.

Sorry was supposed to have quoted Batman. I blame my phone. -

A bit unfair that as it's not like we have thrown away and wasted money on a load of foreign stars who have failed to live up to expectations. Forren, Gaston and Osvaldo to name but 3. -
Yep totally agree he was the stand out player at Wembley yesterday. I think I would try and sign him anyway as I think he offers good competition even though I know that we have strength and depth in this area. He is definitely one to keep an eye on.

He speaks sense and whilst I didn't like some of the things he did and the way he treated the fans I do actually wish he was still in charge. For one we would know where we stand. For two we won't get bullied by bigger clubs into doing something that is not in the best interests of SFC. For three we would still have a vision and no doubt a 2nd 5yr plan with a chance of keeping our manager and players. -
Nobody called Luke Shaw they just looked at his Twitter account and took the words directly from there. Sorry if that doesn't fit in with your 'the media hates us' agenda.

Personally I have never been a fan but he came across brilliantly on Goals on Sunday just now. He believes in youth development and giving them a chance. He feels the first team manager should go and watch the U21 and U18 teams regularly. He said you should know the players names along with their ability and character. He also said if you invite them to train with the first team give them a fair crack and don't ditch them after one day if they do not perform, he recognises there will be nerves and it can take a young player a little while to settle in. I reckon he would impress our board if interviewed and he does look a good fit for a club who want to push academy players into the first team.

If you can't reveal your source then fair enough although it would be nice to know some details about them I.e. Another player, coach, director, taxi driver etc I would also say if not true you should be banned from the forum for giving us all false hope. Will you agree to that or are you honest enough to admit its bull**** now? I do hope you are right btw just can't see it.
