  1. It will be interesting to see how we perform against Newcastle next week, compared with Bournemouth today.....
  2. Shame really. He looked good when he played for Burnley.
  3. I had an Allegro Sport with the square steering wheel.....I loved it!
  4. Pretty certain it is an old Austin Allegro
  5. I would have a fully supported (by the Board) Ralph back in an instant.
  6. CoT will fill you in imminently.
  7. Didn't Alfie House say that this wasn't true?
  8. Due to him being unable to pick up a pen to sign a contract? #popadomwrists
  9. P*mpey beat them 4-0 recently......................
  10. I seem to remember a few years ago that some on here were suggesting him as a potential buyer for us because he has/had a home in the New Forest.
  11. I will make an effort to stop. To be honest, I keep seeing people using "TBH" and thinking that they are talking about Taylor Harwood-Bellis.... Cheers. MOG
  12. I don't think that Les was any worse (or better for that matter) than anybody else on Saturday. In fact not one player (with the possible exception of TD who at least ran at Brentford when he had the ball) came out with an ounce of credit from that debacle.......
  13. Definitely not! It's the re-writing/revising of history that makes me laugh.....
  14. Yes, but don't forget that we were promoted despite RM, not because of him. With the squad that he had at his disposal, we should have walked the division, not limp in by way of the Play-offs.........apparently. And don't forget that Nigel Adkins was useless because he didn't actually win the divisions during both of his promotions. That's how these things work, you know.
  15. I am not up to speed on the PP. I thought I heard a little while ago that they were thinking about stopping or adjusting them because it was deemed unfair on Championship teams......although I might have dreamt that.....
  16. Are Parachute Payments still a thing?
  17. Yes....I thought the Branfoot days were bad, but my word, what is happening at the moment is like nothing that I have experienced before at this club. I really thought that the Spurs game was a major turning point, but it seems like we have reached another one a handful of games later. Unbelievable!!
  18. I don't disagree with what you say, but do you have confidence in the current owners to make the right decisions for this to happen? One of the biggest issues this season, for me. has been the length of time that they let the RM "era" carry on without any apparent concern. On the face of it, they didn't seem to actually care about results. I could understand them giving him, say, 10 games, after last season, but it almost seems that if the Spurs debacle hadn't have happened, he would still be here now!
  19. That is the REAL sad thing. In all the time that I have supported Saints, I have never expected them to set the World alight. I knew, and accepted our place in the football world and revelled in the times that we punched above our weight. I have always been proud to say that I have been a Saints fan and the club has been a majorly important element in my fairly long life as well as that of my family. To have lost that feeling so quickly is a shock.......something that I thought would never happen. I never thought that I would see this club give up on a season so easily after the elation of last season.....it is unfathomable.....and unforgivable. I qenuinely don't know what the way back is. All of this talk about regeneration around SMS and being a Premier League fixture seems so much pie-in-the-sky at the moment.
  20. It is a general thing with some fans. I also remember a number of fans wanting DCC (and various other players that we have gone on to sign). That also went well......
  21. It amazes me that the Official App has a "Highlights" reel and a "Gallery" to remind us all of the momentous day!
  22. I genuinely think that he has something about him, but I think that even Lionel Messi in his prime would struggle to look good in our current team/situation.
  23. Our first daughter, who was born 4 days after we won the cup in '76 (she was due the day before the Final......I went to Wembley though, based on the theory that we could always have another child, but I might never see Saints play in a final again!), got to about 12 years old and decided that she wanted to come to footy with me. We bought a ST next to mine. We still have them and we have gone to games together ever since. She also feels the same. Lets not forget that we had just two wins at home in our last relegation the season before last......just three home wins so far in a season and a half in the Prem. No "Customer" of any other "Business" would put up with it.
  24. Not just that, but for the first time in around 65 years (50 years with a ST) I am at the stage where it wouldn't worry me if I didn't go again this season. What is the point? Support the team? Is the team supporting us this season? There is supposed to be some degree of entertainment/excitement/pride/hope when attending a Saints game. None of that is there at the moment. This is the first time that I have felt like this in all that time........so,so sad.....
