  1. I understand what you are saying but take yesterday for example. The crowd support for the team was good during the first half. It was only after Donny scored and it became obvious that we didn`t have a clue how to get back into the game that the anti-Lowe (not anti-team) songs started. People are sick to death of the inept way that this club (including team management) is run that they are going to vent their feelings and the most effective way is during the game, not at after when people are drifting away and the Board is tucked safely away in the boardroom. One question for you - do you honestly feel that the result would have been any diferent had the anti-Lowe stuff not started. I don`t remember much anti-Lowe stuff at any of the other home games that we have lost this season. In fact the support has (IMHO) been very good considering the performances.
  2. Don`t forget that he only spends 2 days a week at the Club. The rest of the time is taken up with W.H.Ireland.
  3. Sorry but I seem to be missing something here. There seems to be some feeling on here from some posters that the singing of "negative songs" is effecting the team. It is cause and effect. It is because the team is performing so ineptly this season that people are singing the songs - not the other way round! To even remotely blame some Saints fans for the performances on the pitch because they are singing "Anti-Lowe" (not anti-team) songs is nothing short of naive stupidity. Saints fans are some of the best in the country at sticking with the team through thick and thin, but it has got to the stage where enough is enough. If you paid £50-£60 to see any other form of "entertainment" and you were presented with the quality of performance that we have had to suffer would you just keep quiet and hope that by keeping quiet the performance would improve?
  4. In over 50 years of supporting this once great club, I thought that the Br**foot era was the lowest ebb, but sadly, this is much worse! The saddest thing is that after all of this time I have actually got to a stage that I couldn`t imagine that I would ever reach. I DON`T CARE ANY MORE! I really have, after all these years, had the stuffing knocked out of me one too many times. RIP SFC. Thanks for the memories.:mad::mad::mad:
  5. But what makes you think that he has grown a pair since. All of the indications are that not only has he been neutered but that he has had trans-gender treatment!
  6. As much as I dislike Lowe, he at least has the courage of his convictions. Wilde, however has the spine of a jelly-fish. He hides (the AGM, leaving today 15-35 mins early soas not to face the fans) and although he is Chairman of the Football Club, he allows Lowe to walk all over him in return for writing the programme notes.
  7. O.K. but does that mean that because he is 3rd/4th choice for Everton, he is going to set the world alight in the CCC?
  8. To a degree you are right, but we have not had much in the way of similar trouble before today. Regardless of how many people were involved, the fact that the trouble happened at all is the thing. It all happened because todays game was the last straw for many people and different people express their frustration in different ways, and not always the right way. I have been supporting the club for over 50 years and a season ticket holder for 35 and even I felt frustrated and wanted to hit out (metaphorically) at something because of what my club has become.
  9. We are not talking about George Burley. We are talking about Jan...........Oh, sorry !
  10. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmm...........NO!
  11. Good sense as usual Daren. BTW, what positons do the Chuckle Brothers play? Can either of them score goals?
  12. What made you think that he would be good? He is a 19 year old Everton third choice.
  13. Perhaps you haven`t put your point across very well.
  14. It may be just you. I thought that he was no worse than most of the others and actually made one or two "telling" tackles.
  15. What a ridiculous post! Firstly the radio station is nothing to do with Saints. They sold it. Secondly, he apparently went in to the Mike Channon Suite to talk to some friends, and thirdly, as I understand it, he wasn`t actually recieving any "Hospitality" as he had just gone in to speak to people. Why should he pay for doing this??
  16. Random Thoughts:- 1) Why were Donny able to PLAY the ball out of defence whilst all we could do when we were under pressure was hoof the ball out, invariabely to a Donny player? There were 2 or 3 times when they were able to go from their box to our box without a Saints player making a challenge. 2) Why do we have no "movement" in the opposition box. Our "forwards" seem to be coached by Madame Tussaud. 3) Why take off a central defender (who was having a decent game) when we were 1 down and put on a winger and a midfielder? Our defence is hardly rock-solid at the best of times, but to play with a 3 man defence when chasing the game seems naive at best. 4) On paper, this was probably close to being Jans best team. Saints-1 Donny-2. 5) Why are we not able to change to "Route One" when needed? 6) Why can we not pass to our own players when we are playing the "Total Football" passing game? I could go on but I am losing the will to live! Oh Yes. 7) Why do our players look so unfit compared to everyone elses?
  17. This has really turned my season around.
  18. Firstly, I wonder why he was asked to leave in the first place and secondly, what would have happened if he had refused. Do you think that he would have been "thrown out"?
  19. Nickh. You don`t seem to have responded to my post.
  20. You obviously don`t read dalek2003`s posts do you?
  21. Do you really believe this?? I don`t think that the sporadic singing of any song during the game had any effect on the players at all. We have won one league game at home this season. Is that because of supporters singing songs or is it for other reasons?
  22. WE NEED HODDLE!!:prayer::prayer::vom:
  23. So it is the fault of the fans is it? Nothing to do with the on-going ineptitude that is dished up week after week on the pitch??
  24. If it were quite that easy we would all be Managers.
  25. And this.
